America's Best Championship Wrestling Jan 1980, Week 2 LIVE From Greenhorn TV Studio in Montgomery, Alabama Attendance: 1,812Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another week of the best that American wrestling has to offer with ABCW!!! Tonight, Two more women will be introduced to the ABCW audience, TV Champion Officer Chip makes an important announcement, Pat Cabbage takes on Tennis Pro, and in the main event, Average Guy will defend his ABCW World title against a man who may not be at 100% following the attack from the Gold Club after winning the #1 contenders three way last week. Nonetheless, let's head right into the action with our first contest!Match #1 (10 Minute Time Limit) - Hammerhead (W/Mother Russia) vs Rad Racer
Rad Racer hasn't been in the business long, but he has already established himself as a high flyer who will stop at nothing to win a match. Hammerhead will also stop at nothing to win a match, but in the complete opposite way. The former Soviet boxer's feet will never leave the ground, but he can knock you out in a matter of seconds. The speed of Rad Racer works to his advantage early, dodging some early shots and getting in some strong kicks, with a hurricanrana being the highlight. Hammerhead does seem to be moving slower slightly, but eventually Rad Racer gets unlucky. Hammerhead tags him with a quick jab, and from there Hammerhead spends the next 40ish seconds picking his shots, trying to unleash as much damage as possible. Eventually, he ends his fun by hitting Rad Racer with the Russian Sickle (Giant Overhead Punch) for the win. Winner: Hammerhead (Russian Sickle) Time: 4:08
(Despite a decent performance from Rad Racer, Hammerhead is ultimately victorious in his first match. But next, two more amazing ABCW Women's division stars do battle when Lyndi Harker takes on Valley Girl
Match #2 (10 Minute Time Limit) - Valley Girl vs Lyndi Harker
Sharing a similar story with Kit Pistol, Valley Girl doesn't seemingly belong in the narrative being cast in ABCW, but the management realized the potential that Valley Girl could have and thus, she is here in ABCW today. Lyndi Harker isn't one to take sass and snark lightly, and there is plenty of that in Valley Girl. Valley Girl barely gets an ounce of offense in as Lyndi Harker gets to work right away, outwrestling the spolit brat and quickly putting her away with the Sitout DDT. Winner: Lyndi Harker (Sitout DDT) Time: 2:43
(After the match, Almighty Dolla makes her way to the ring.)
Dolla: Listen here Lyndi, you might think you're so good, because you just beat a random nobody in three minutes, but I'm simply here to remind you, when you beat a real opponent, they don't ever get up. I've been a star across the world since before you were born, and even at my age honey, on an average day, I'm better than you on your best day. Even though I don't have to prove it, I will next week when I take on Glam. From there, my eyes are on Starbright, but then, then I'm coming after you. And you better be ready, because I'm not going easy on you. Lyndi: Do you really think that I'd ever let you go easy on me? Because if you do, you are sadly mistaken. I don't need your pity, I don't need your sadness, I don't even need your respect, because I'm going to beat it out of you soon enough. If you ask me, I think it's about time that someone finally retires the dinosaur. Dolla: Keep dreaming honey, because Almighty Dolla will wrestle forever, and as long as I'm wrestling, I'm better than you are. Lyndi: Honestly Dolla, I think you need a little courage to officially challenge me... (Lyndi Harker lays out Almighty Dolla with a sitout DDT.)
Lyndi: I'll see you soon enough! (With a heated confrontation, the dynamics of the women's division is also looking interesting, With multiple contenders all fighting for a shot at Starbright's title. Anyways, let's get into one of the two most anticipated matchups this evening, with Pat Cabbage vs Tennis Pro!)
Match #3 (15 Minute Time Limit) - Tennis Pro vs Pat Cabbage
Tennis Pro is no stranger to cheating, and that's exactly what he does before the match. a strong strike with the tennis racquet to Pat Cabbage before the bell gives Tennis Pro the early momentum. Although Tennis Pro is mainly a brawler, it is often overlooked that he does have some decent all-round wrestling ability. Tennis Pro wears down Pat Cabbage with some basic holds, but the turning point in the match is when Tennis Pro grabs the tennis racquet, ready to hit the Tennis Racquet Smash. Pat Cabbage realizes this, and when Tennis Pro's back is turned, Cabbage hit him with a neck crushing german suplex. From there on it was all Pat Cabbage, and he ends up putting Tennis Pro away with the Garbage Pail Driver (Alabama Slam). Winner: Pat Cabbage (Garbage Pail Driver/Alabama Slam)Time: 7:46(Next up, after his loss to Pat Cabbage last week, Chief Buffalo is training by lifting incredible amounts of weight. He struggles, but succeeds, to lift 570 lbs, before looking into the camera.)Buffalo: Last week was one of the most embarrassing moments in my career. A 5'7, 190 pound nobody loser like Pat Cabbage. I was beating, destroying, hurting him, and he just happened to get lucky. Although I have a big surprise coming in the coming weeks, and I'd love to reveal it now, but Pat Cabbage is still in my way. I've heard that because you won your match with Tennis Pro, you get a shot at the TV title next week, but I think I should get the title shot. I'VE BEEN PLOWING THROUGH PEOPLE FOR YEARS, YOU JUST GOT LUCKY ONCE!! But it doesn't matter, because no matter what, I will get my revenge, and I will prove that just because you get lucky once, doesn't mean you are a good competitor. I will run you over, and I will keep moving on like I always have, and I hope Average Guy knows that some day, I'm coming for him. (After Chief Buffalo's harsh words, tag team action is underway between the Neon Express and the Pain Dealers.)Match #4 - (15 Minute Time Limit) Neon Express vs Pain DealersAlthough the Neon Express are far from a bad team, the Pain Dealers are really something special, due to the great contrast between the force of Big Thuggee and the more aerial offense of Little Thuggee. Big Thug and Chet Skye start off, and Big Thug is surprisingly unable to get any major moves in, although that is clearly testament to the ability of Jessie and Chet. A dropkick knocks Big Thug off his feet, and Chet tags in to Jessie. Jessie mounts some solid offense, but Big Thug is able to tag out to Little Thug to catch his breath. Jessie and Little Thug go at it for a while, which is always fun to watch as they match each other quite well. Big Thug gets back in, and this is where the match really turns. With Little Thuggee dealing with Jessie Wild on the outside, Big Thuggee applies the Heart Claw to Chet Skye. Skye holds in for a few second, but ultimately taps out to the hold. The Pain Dealers get a huge win over the tag team champs. Winners: Pain Dealers (Heart Claw) Time: 10:00
(Pain Dealers have certainly made a huge showing by beating the tag champs, but next up, Officer Chip is ready to give a big announcement about his opponents in the coming weeks.)
Chip: I know a lot of you low class criminals in Montgomery have been wondering what I have to say, so I'm not going to make you guys wait any longer. The fans have been wondering who my opponent will be at Super Duper Show, and I have come to make my official statement. I've already talked with Rod Codger to make it official. Although I still have a bone to pick with that slimy politician for making me fight Pat Cabbage, that's besides the point. There are a few perps who have caught my eye in the last two weeks, and I had to choose one of them to face me at Super Duper Show. Although this person might have lost, he will show that he can lose again and again and somehow still be liked. My opponent for MY TV title at Super Duper Show will be the speeding maniac, Rad Racer. But I wouldn't even bother showing up, because when I beat you, and you wake up in Alabama State Penitentiary in cuffs, you'll have wished I never picked you in the first place! (With the first match set in stone for Super Duper Show, the World title is on the line now in the main event, it's hero vs hero when Average Guy faces Devin Van Winkle!)
Match #5 (No Time Limit) (WORLD TITLE) - Average Guy (c) vs Devin Van Winkle
Average Guy and Devin Van Winkle have great respect for each other, but they also realize the prize that is on the line, and thus they will stop at nothing to win the title tonight. The match goes through waves, and it features a little bit of everything, from stiff strikes to wrenching holds to flashy slams, these two take each other to the limits. Average Guy even manages to escape the Van Winkle Claw early on, leaving the entire audience bewildered. Average Guy, of a crisp scoopslam, attempts the Average Elbow, but Devin Van Winkle grabs his arm, hits an arm drag, and locks in an armbar that nearly wins him the World title. Another application of the Van Winkle Claw, but Jet Set Strutter, Otto Thompson, and Exotic Rick show up outside the ring, distracting DVW. Average Guy capitalizes and hits the Average Elbow, but as soon as he does, the Gold Club beat down Average Guy, leading To an Average Guy win by countout. Winner: Average Guy (Disqualification) Time: 18:25
(After the match, Jet Set Strutter grabs a mic.)
Strutter: How do you like that, Average Guy? If you want to deny me of a title shot, I'm going to deny you of a rightful victory and a good end to your matches. All that could be avoided however, if you accept my challenge for a World Title match at Super Duper Show. What do you say? Average Guy: If you want a shot, you're going to have to earn it? Strutter: Do you hear that guys? I think he just made a wrong choice. I'm going to get my match one way or another. (Jet Set Strutter locks in the Six-Figure Leglock on Average Guy.)
Strutter: So how bout you give me my match and I'll let you go? Average Guy: I'LL NEVER GIVE IT TO YOU!! Strutter: Otto, get the chair (Otto Thompson grabs a chair and wedges Average Guy's arm between it, and looks like he is about to step on it.)
Strutter: If I don't get my match, my friend Otto here will break your arm, so you can't be the champion anyways!!! GIVE IT TO ME!!!! Average Guy: Never!! Strutter: Otto, break his arm? (Otto slowly puts more pressure on the chair, until it is clear that Average Guy's arm will snap if he goes any further.)
Strutter: I'll give you one last chance... Average Guy: FINE! (Yells in pain), You've got your match. (With that, Otto Thompson slides the chair out of the ring, and the last shot of the show is Jet Set Strutter falling over a fallen Average Guy, holding the ABCW World title high in the air.)
NEXT TIME ON ABCW!!!
Almighty Dolla is in action after her fight with Lyndi Harker against Glam! Jet Set Strutter and Otto Thompson get to show what they're truly made of against the American Heroes! Neon Express offer an open challenge for the tag team titles at Super Duper Show! Officer Chip defends his TV title against Pat Cabbage! Rad Racer is in action! AND MUCH MORE!!! America's Best Championship Wrestling Jan 1980, Week 3 LIVE From Corny's Campus Gym in Louisville, Kentucky Attendance: 2,000 (SOLD OUT!!!)
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another week of ABCW TV, where some of the best wrestlers from around the world come to become the best America has to offer. Tonight, before his match against Rad Racer at Super Duper Show, the TV champion Officer Chip has to defend his title against a man who has made an impressive showing of both his matches so far, Pat Cabbage. As well, the Gold Club make their tag team debut, when Jet Set Strutter and Otto Thompson take on the old fashioned American Heroes, Warhawk and Dangerzone. As well, the Neon Express will officially release their open challenge at Super Duper Show, but first...
Match #1 (10 Minute Time Limit) - Almighty Dolla vs Glam
Although Glam is no slouch in the ring, it is clear that she can't compete with the veteran competitor Almighty Dolla. Almighty Dolla schools her, with some sharp snapmare takedowns. Glam tries to mount some offense, but Almighty Dolla knows how to ground her from gaining any momentum. Almighty Dolla takes her sweet time like she normally does, but eventually Glam is put away with the Old Schoolgirl.
Winner: Almighty Dolla (Old Schoolgirl) Time: 6:22
(After the match, Almighty Dolla continues to beat down Glam, hitting her with several punches and takedowns. Although she isn't a stranger to this kind of thing, there seems to be some extra fire in her eyes as she lays the beatdown on Glam. She yells about how she'll injure everyone in the division just to face Lyndi Harker, and then walks off, presumably to go and try and hunt her down.)
(The rivalry between Lyndi Harker and Almighty Dolla continues to heat up, and it will be interesting to see just what happens next. Now we move on to Rad Racer, in a warm up match for his TV title shot at Super Duper Show, going up against Zeke Mullet.)
Match #2 (10 Minute Time Limit) - Rad Racer vs Zeke Mullet
Before the match, it is put to the audience's attention that some shenanigans could take place, when Officer Chip takes a seat in the ringside area to scout Rad Racer during the match. The distraction of Officer Chip at ringside throws off Rad Racer, and the bigger Zeke Mullet is able to overpower Rad Racer early, and there is a point where Rad Racer looks like he could be in trouble. Rad Racer slips out of a powerslam, and takes control from there. Dropkicks and flashy strikes wear down Zeke, but a well timed right hand brings Rad Racer down. It seems like Zeke Mullet is in control again, but then Officer Chip makes a fatal mistake. Officer Chip throws a pair of handcuffs and the TV title belt to Zeke Mullet. Zeke grabs the belt, but the referee has to try and get it away from him. The tussle between Zeke and the referee lasts long enough for Rad Racer to recover and hit the Tail Whip (Enziguri From Behind) to win.
Winner: Rad Racer (Tail Whip) Time: 7:47
(After the match, Rad Racer grabs a mic)
Racer: I hope this shows you, Officer Chip, that I am ready for Super Duper Show. I've proven myself as a prospect in ABCW, and at ABCW Super Duper Show, you can expect a new TV champion. And one more thing, you bet I'll keep my eye on the main event tonight. I might even be like Chip and get a closer look myself...
(Before Rad Racer can walk away, Officer Chip hits him with the title belt, then handcuffs his hands behind his back before dragging him to the back.)
Chip: Let's see if you'll be watching my match now, PERP!!!
(Will Rad Racer be able to make an impact in the TV title match tonight? We'll have to wait and see, as next up is Tennis Pro, working out in a really, really ramshackle gym. In fact, it is so run down it could be referred to as "dingy". Apparently this segment is supposed to show that Tennis Pro is making some sort of great improvement in his abilities and he'll be able to win something or be something someday, but let's be honest, he won't. Anyways, two-thirds of the Gold Club: Jet Set Strutter and Otto Thompson, make their in ring debut against two of the most loved wrestlers in ABCW, Dangerzone and Warhawk, American Heroes.)
Match #3 (15 Minute Time Limit) - Gold Club vs American Heroes
Although Gold Club certainly have their fair share of arrogance and mouthy comments, they are a rarity in the fact that they are just as good inside the ring as they are outside the ring. Otto Thompson does most of the grunt work early, really showing who the Gold Club's leader is, by grounding the high flying Dangerzone and hard hitting Warhawk, before tagging in Jet Set Strutter. Obviously trying to save most of his major effort and energy for his title match next week, Jet Set Strutter picks his shots, going fast enough to not give Warhawk time to recover but slow enough so that he doesn't have to exert a lot of energy. Although Warhawk is known for his resiliency, he just can't get any momentum going, and he has no choice but to tap out to Strutter's six-figure leglock.
Winners: Gold Club (Six-Figure Leglock) Time: 9:50
(With the Gold Club having a strong showing in their tag team match, Average Guy had better be prepared for Jet Set Strutter at Super Duper Show. With the card of Super Duper Show starting to heat up, we will hear from the Neon Express, who will announce an open challenge for Super Duper Show.)
Skye: Thank you everybody for the great response, but we have to get right down to business here tonight. You see, as your ABCW Tag Team champions we have an obligation to give you fighting champions who can regularly prove why they are the champs. This is why we are proud to announce our plans for Super Duper Show.
Wild: We had a long debate about this, there are a lot of deserving teams out there. Could we face the Mullet Cousins? (Booooooo) The Pain Dealers? (Boooooooooooo) Even Exotic Rick and Otto Thompson of the Gold Club? (Boooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!) They all suck, so we couldn't decide either!!
Skye: Because everybody, we still have no opponents for Super Duper Show! So we're offering two lucky people a flash chance. Any team, or even two random people in the locker room can come out and challenge us to a Tag Team title match right now!! Anyone who is man enough can come and face us!
(Right on cue, out come the Pain Dealers.)
Big Thug: Are you kidding? You want to challenge us? The toughest team in the world? Well Neon Boy, you just made a grave, grave mistake. The Pain Dealers will tear you apart and eat you for breakfast.
Wild: Come on, have you seen how big you are? You wouldn't need to eat anything else for a year!!
(Big Thuggee is fuming, and Little Thuggee has to hold him back.)
Lil Thug: What my friend is trying to say, is that you made a mistake by offering your open challenge because the Pain Dealers are always looking for poor scrubs like you to do something stupid so we can capitalize and take your titles. We don't even know why you guys were named the champions, because everyone in the building knows that you aren't the best team in the ABCW. The Pain Dealers are, and at Super Duper Show, when we beat the titles out of you just like how we beat you a couple weeks ago, and you are lying with broken necks in the ring, and you get whipped until your backs are raw, you'll realize that the Pain Dealers are the toughest. Now get them, Big!
(Big Thuggee runs at the Neon Express, but Skye and Wild slide out of the ring fast enough to avoid the attacks. The Neon Express quickly leave the ring. And now, for the main event of the evening, Officer Chip will take on Pat Cabbage in the first TV Title match!)
Match #4 (45 Minute Time Limit) (TV TITLE) - Officer Chip (c) vs Pat Cabbage
With Rad Racer seemingly out of the equation due to Officer Chip's earlier attack, we should be seeing a straight up one on one match for the title here. Officer Chip slides out of the ring a few times quickly, trying to get into Pat's head, but Chip eventually gets caught in a suplex that leaves him in the ring at Cabbage's disposal. Despite only being 5'7, Pat Cabbage is a solid wrestler in both the technical and strength areas. A tight headlock wears down Chip, but a thumb to the eye while the referee isn't looking backs Cabbage off. Chip gets some shots in, and takes Cabbage down. Chip grows more confident as Cabbage stays down longer, and with Cabbage in the corner after a few solid forearm smashes, Officer Chip calls for the Cop Drop. With Pat Cabbage in position, the Cop Drop appears imminent, but out of nowhere, Rad Racer's music hits, and he jumps his way to the ring, still in handcuffs. Racer jumps up to the apron, so Officer Chip leaves Cabbage and knocks him off the apron. But because of the distraction, Pat Cabbage rolls up Officer Chip, The ref hits two and a half, but Officer Chip escapes and gets a roll up of his own on Cabbage for the three count and to retain the title.
Winner: Officer Chip Time: 11:04
(What a night of action we had, but it is shaping up to be an even better night at Super Duper Show!!!)
OOC: Sorry for the long delay. I had a pretty busy week last week, and this week hasn't been much better.
NEXT TIME ON ABCW!!
Officer Chip will take on Rad Racer for the TV title! Devin Van Winkle is looking for victory in a different type of wrestling! The Tag Title match is set to be a good one with the Neon Express taking on the Pain Dealers! Hammerhead is in action! The debut of O'Hooligan's Pub! And who can forget, our main event, Jet Set Strutter vs Average Guy for the ABCW title!

Winners: Gold Club (Six-Figure Leglock) Time: 9:50(With the Gold Club having a strong showing in their tag team match, Average Guy had better be prepared for Jet Set Strutter at Super Duper Show.
And now, for the main event of the evening, Officer Chip will take on Pat Cabbage in the first TV Title match!)Match #4 (45 Minute Time Limit) (TV TITLE) - Officer Chip (c) vs Pat CabbageWith Rad Racer seemingly out of the equation due to Officer Chip's earlier attack, we should be seeing a straight up one on one match for the title here. Winner: Officer ChipTime: 11:04(What a night of action we had, but it is shaping up to be an even better night at Super Duper Show!!!)OOC: Sorry for the long delay. I had a pretty busy week last week, and this week hasn't been much better. NEXT TIME ON ABCW!!Officer Chip will take on Rad Racer for the TV title!
