I’m new to Modern mania but I’ve been playing 80s mania for a while. I hope I can parlay my 80s mania knowledge over to modern mania.

Same here. I’m using the same strategy as I did with 8MWR for better or worse. I forgot how long it takes to build up wrestler stats without the Cheap Pop and Shoot cards.

Get ready to grind Yuppie! Lol Depending on how frustrated I get I may toss some money into the game to hurry things along. I definitely put a few dollars into 8MWR. I may do it anyway, since it helps keep the game creators in business, which at the end of the day is good for all of us. |

Same here. I try to get a few matches in every day, so I see it as a very worthwhile investment in keeping the games going.

I only recently realized that you have to spend a token to upgrade a wrestler status before you can use the gimmick token to unlock their Alt. So basically you need one of each token to get the new card. This will require more time/effort/money/patience than 8MWR. Definitely a different game mechanic than I was expecting. I guess you could upgrade any wrestler all the way to Legendary status if you were willing to max out their stats as many times as that would take and spend those tokens, so that’s neat.

It's a long slog, but once you get a few legends money starts coming much quicker.
