Well, stands weren't planned for the storyline (Red Oni is Tommy's new martial arts instructor in spite of not actually seeing him, originally), I can bring back [Nature Trail to Hell]. And apparently Arizona is going with it also with [Red Barchetta]. It is up to Tommy if his unseen master is Red Oni, his stand is [Red Oni], both, or neither. I kinda like as a stand name for his stand [Man Behind The Mask], after the Alice Cooper song. And thanks for bringing back stands, at least for a limited time. By the way, it's traditional to put the stand name in brackets. It tells the Japanese speaker that it is not only a name, but a foreign language name to be read as is. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve never watched an anime in my life so I have no idea what any of this means. That’s why I’m leaving it somewhat open-ended. As far as Tommy knows, he is learning martial arts from a demon who has unlocked the secrets of Red Mist. As far as Arizona knows, he “thinks” the Red Oni is a front for a guy trying to control him through the use of psychoactive drugs derived from ancient demonic powers. We can both be right based on our perspective. What this has changed though is that Arizona’s wrath will not be directed at Tommy. He considers Tommy now to be the same as himself in this scheme— a victim. Maybe a more willing victim, but a victim nonetheless. And the beautiful thing is, Arizona could be wrong. We’ll see how it all plays out. Anyhow, it allows Tommy’s character to continue down this path (or not) and Arizona a path to eventually break free. And for the record, I didn’t plan this, it just kind of landed here and I ran with it, trying to keep everyone’s story in mind. |

As far as Stanley knows, the Ted Oni is prehaps a wicked Stand User (and as anyone who has ever read/watch Jojo knows, Stand Users attract Stand Users). Again, this can be as true or as false as anything else (Dio is both a Stone Mask Vampire and in part 3 a Stand User). Generally speaking the names of stands are taken from music (band names, artist names, album names, song names). But this is not 100% true (most of the ones in Part 3 are from tarot cards and Egyptian Gods).
I'll let Tommy decide exactly what Red Oni is. The main thing is that just because the Red Oni is behind a lot of things, that doesn't mean Tommy is brainwashed or anything.
Of course, we don't know he is not brainwashed...

Then we'll have to ban it every time someone makes that mistake. I believe Caine has the right idea. Nip it in the bud and have a stern word with those responsible. It may have been a mistake. |

The problem with tribal knowledge is that it’s tribal.
Unwritten rules are often stupid. I only pointed out that particular quirk so that we all know about that particular tradition. What’s done is done, and it’s not an absolute— if the storyline called for everyone in the locker room to hate me before I start a path to redemption or something, attacking Jackson would be a great way to do it.
And there’s no punishment needed. That would be like kicking someone out of your house because they didn’t take off their shoes at the door, but you never asked them to and there’s no sign that says that. The normal things to do would be to ask them politely. Penguino, please don’t take a week off. You either, Buffalo.
