The problem with tribal knowledge is that it’s tribal. Unwritten rules are often stupid. I only pointed out that particular quirk so that we all know about that particular tradition. What’s done is done, and it’s not an absolute— if the storyline called for everyone in the locker room to hate me before I start a path to redemption or something, attacking Jackson would be a great way to do it. And there’s no punishment needed. That would be like kicking someone out of your house because they didn’t take off their shoes at the door, but you never asked them to and there’s no sign that says that. The normal things to do would be to ask them politely. Penguino, please don’t take a week off. You either, Buffalo. I don't want them to take a week off. The idea is that we ALL are bard from Killies for seven days. That doesn't prevent anyone from roleplaying. In fact that should increase roleplaying. But that is only an idea. Take it or leave it.

OH, like Killies is closed for repairs for a week. Gotcha.

As a great man once said, "Enough is enough, and it's time for a change".
Yuppie VP is now a NPC.

I thought [coming soon] was a new player. Well, here is looking forward to seeing what Ex-Yuppie will come up with.

Feel free to have Yuppie appear to break up fights and whatnot, as part of his job will also include being part of the backstage crew at JWA shows.

I think the perfect date for the wedding of Stanley the Weeb and Rebecca Mullet would be August 2/3. What does the room think?

I think the perfect date for the wedding of Stanley the Weeb and Rebecca Mullet would be August 2/3. What does the room think? That depends how it's done. Glory is supposed to be for the wrestlers to have a match and for smaller promos, reminders of dark matches, continuing storylines etc. Something like a wedding is going to be a huge, multipost event. That's going to seriously take away from the match and it'll just be about you putting yourself and your storyline over while the match flounders. Unless there's no match that day and everyone is invited to your wedding, I would choose another date. Why is 2/3 the perfect date? Why not another date and we use midweek misc?

I don't remember how the Macho Wedding went down. Wasn't there an ambush or two? For those who don't remember, it was the public wedding of Randy Savage and Miss. Elizabeth (they were in reality married for years before).

Humm...
Just read up on Wrestling Weddings. Most are actually vow renewal ceremonies.
If nothing is planned to ambush or start a new feud or anything, I'm fine with a highlight real approach. Of course, everyone is invited to the public display.

Otherwise there are (at least) two storylines happening in the same thread. It's hard enough to follow a match when everyone is adding a dozen posts each that overlap and also take place in the ring, somehow. It's easier when the wrestlers have their thing and everyone else posts one or two "earlier in the evening this happened" posts or it just becomes a schmoz. After all, Glory should be predominantly about the wrestling match. Other posts are flavour to go alongside the main course, they're not meant to overpower it. Think about the Macho Wedding, which isn't that obscure. Or Edge and Lita's bits. They were the main event. You didn't have a cutaway to two guys chatting for ages in the middle of it. It dilutes it. Make the wedding a special event in ring, no match.

That way the nuptials don't get in the way of the match. And considering it is an event, it should be the last event of the evening. There should be a card in 80 and Modern to represent major events like this...

Of course, everyone is invited to the public display. For the Macho Wedding, the only run-in was Jake the Snake popping up at the very end to terrorise Miss Elizabeth. Otherwise, the wedding went off without a hitch and was quite uneventful. Macho still looked amazing because that man could sell sand in the Sahara.
