Yuppie VP signs new deal with JWA, no longer an in-ring competitor

JWA.com was informed earlier today that after weeks of negotiations, Yuppie VP and JWA have come to terms on a new deal, but not one that most fans were expecting. While the financial aspect of the new deal is undisclosed, we know that effective immediately Yuppie VP will no longer be competing for JWA. Instead he will be taking the lead trainer position at the JWA Power Station wrestling school, colloquially referred to as the JWA Dojo.
"It's been a frustrating year, to be sure. I've had a lot of time to think about things, and the recent string of results helped me to reach my final decision. I am taking myself out of the ring for the time being, focusing on training the new crop of JWA stars. I feel that I still have a lot to offer to JWA and the wrestling business as a whole, just not as an active competitor. I'm not saying goodbye, I'm just saying I'll see you down the road." - Yuppie VP
This comes as something of a shock to most fans of JWA, as Yuppie VP was a founding father of the company and a perennial championship contender. His recent tag team with Dyno seemed destined for the Tag Team Championship. We reached out to Kip Whistler for his comments:
"Through my talks with Yuppie over the past few weeks, I understand that he is not mentally where he needs to be in order to be successful. We don't want to lose him as a part of the JWA family, and so I presented him with the opportunity to be the lead trainer at the JWA Power Station wrestling school. Yuppie is one of the most fundamentally sound grapplers in the game, and I feel confident that anyone coming out of our training program after having learned under Yuppie will be poised for great things in the JWA. I'm looking forward to this new phase in our relationship."
When will we see Yuppie in the ring on our televisions again? No one knows for certain, but it seems that this change is in the best interest of all involved parties. In the event of any developments in this story, we'll have it for you first here on JWA.com.

Just heard about one of the best technical wrestlers on the planet hanging them up. Maybe I can coax one more nostalgia match out of him after I hang ‘em up. I think he’s still got something left in the tank. #thankyouyuppie

It seems the @wallstwolf is going to start training the upcoming young puppies of the JWA. Eventually Arizona Chance and Pierre the Enormous and Slashmaster will hang up the tights and call it a night. Am I ready to be the old man of the federation?
I'm sure it will still be a long ways off before Arizona, Pierre, and Slashy say goodbye to us. But because of the physical requirements of the business, a long time might not be long at all. Even I have ackes and pains after a show.

Dyno is sat in a hotel room having just got in from a JWA live event. He pulls out his tablet and switches it on. Shortly after he gets the tell-tale "you've got mail" notification. He goes to open his emails but pauses as he notices a news story flash up on the taskbar. He pulls up the story and reads about Yuppie VP's new role. He sighs and puts the tablet down, before picking up his mobile phone.
(via text to Yuppie VP)
"Mate I know we only teamed for a short time, but I had a blast. You're still right up there with the best in the ring, regardless of results. See you down the line."
He picks up his tablet again and opens his email. After deleting numerous spam mail and adverts he opens the latest JWA schedule from Kip Whistler and sees that he's scheduled to face Tommy End in 2 weeks for a shot at the World Title.
DYNO (to himself): "2 weeks to get your head straight man. You lost to Tommy last time out, it's time to sort out if you really want this anymore otherwise he's going to end your career whether you want it ended or not."
He picks up his mobile phone again and sends another text, this time to an unknown number.

"That favor you said you owe me? I'm cashing in. See you in a few days."
He tosses his phone onto the bed and heads off for a shower.

Dyno is in a gym for a regular workout when his phone goes off. He takes a break from the weights to go have a look.
(Message from ? ? ?)
"You don't even have to ask. Arrangements have been made, just let me know arrival time. See you soon old friend."
Dyno nods then pauses before responding, then goes to put his phone back in his bag but pauses, then sends another message...
(Message to Cous)
"If you wanted a break, I may have an opportunity. Let me know and I'll send you the deets. Love to the family. D."
He then puts his phone away and returns to the weights.

Penguino is in his house being questioned by police officers for a case of assault.
Officer “Why did you attack Jackson owner of Killies bar.”
Penguino “I will be completely honest with you I was kicked out of the bar for something outside of my involvement and my temper got the best of me.”
Officer “Are you countering his accusation with your own of false reasoning.”
Penguino “Precisely.”
Johnny Kobra “And don’t go blaming anybody else for this either it’s just that bastard.”
Officer “Alright we’ll see you some other time.”

"Hi boss man, appreciate the shot you and the board have given me. As you know full well, when I'm in the ring I take this thing very seriously. In order for me to give you and more importantly the fans the best me I'm going to be heading away for the next couple of weeks so won't be in attendance at Glory. I know that effects the meet and greets you've got planned, I just hope you're able to find replacements. I will be able to send content over for you to use however. Arizona is in his customary spot, seated in his high backed leather chair, next to an oak side table with an amber liqueur inside an antique highball glass. His tag team championship is displayed prominently, and in the background are replicas of his two JWA world titles his four Jammie awards, and his various accolades from the past.
“JWA fans, it’s good to be back home, and it’s good to have people in your life you can trust. Some, like my lovely wife, you choose to trust because of a shared love for each other. Some, like my trust of people like Stanley and Red Pirate Rogers, come from a shared moral code and a willingness to help each other out— friendship. Others, like the newest person I’ve come to trust, are born out of a shared enemy. Tommy End and I have come to an understanding about our time under the Red Oni’s influence. And, more importantly, we have two shared goals: to hold on to the JWA Tag Titles for as long as possible, and to rid the world of the influence of the Red Oni. Our new independence has made us Ronin— warriors of honor who fight for ourselves, with no master.
As far as the tag titles go, we face a stiff test. Pierre and Slashmaster are formidable, nigh unstoppable as individuals, and together their power is unmatched. Chief Buffalo and Penguino are crafty, fierce, and fight without remorse, and Caitlyn Jerker’s leadership is going to prove to make them even more dangerous. But, we have come together to face down enemies before, and our warrior spirit will carry us through this triple threat match, and we will emerge from the other side as champions.”
The camera pans out, and Tommy End is seated next to Arizona is his own chair, backed with black leather. His table contains a blood red liqueur, and his JWA Tag championship and a replica of his world title are displayed on it. “Anything you’d like to add, partner?”

Stanley the Weeb appears in a black leather chair, not as high quality as Arizona Chance's chair. He holds a nice square box filled with sake.
"Tommy, I'm happy to be include in that list. Even if I have no interest in belts. You know darn well Kip will probably assign me a partner and set me and him against you and Arizona for one match sometime. Honestly I don't care if I win or lose, as long as we give the audience a good show. And both of you know, I don't lay down for no man."
"As you can guess, I'll be in the audience during your three way tag match, looking to make sure agents of a certain someone not interrupt the match. And if you need me afterwards I always have your back. You know I'm crazy like that...among other thats also."
"Seems I got a title somehow. N1R1 Survivor, considering I won that JWA Rumble match. Kip is not sure if there is going to be another tournament like it next year. They gave me this comparative robe." Stanley moves the camera a bit to show Rebecca holding the red robe up, bug smile on her face. A big fancy patch says 'N1R1 Survivor 2022. Stanley the Weeb' in English and in Japanese underneath it. Stanley moves the camera back to him slowly.
"One good thing about a title is that nobody can take it away from me. The bad thing, it only last till the next N1R1 tournament."
"Oh, and Arizona, make sure you spend some time with your wife and daughter. You'll never know when you're be on a long stretch on the road. Tommy, give Mirei my love. You might want to visit our fist sister, even if we both are not quite happy with our former master. And everyone else watching this video, have a good night."

I’m on the phone as I’m about to get on a plane to tomorrow’s show.
Yeah, that’s right. Two dozen red roses. The delivery address is JWA Studios, care of Toni Cruise, 316 Whistler Way, Springfield. The message should read as follows:
The measure of a man is in how he treats a lady.
And though almost everything in our business is a little bit shady,

I do not like losing.
But in defeat, a lesson was learned.
I have made no secret of my mission to ascend to new heights, to take my rightful place in the pantheon of pro-wrestling.
