Title Reigns After Active Years

Just curious what happens when your wrestler's active years have ended, but they are still champions. My Tag Team is Buzzsaw and Lazer; currently at 63 title defenses and in October 1989. Buzzsaw is safe for years, but Lazer is active till 1989. if they are still champs by the start of 1990 what happens to the title? Sorry if this has been answered, couldnt find an answer in the previous threads.  Thanks

As I was told when I asked the same question..

They keep defending the belt until they are defeated. It works exactly the same way as when you have a champion who is injured now, just on a permanent basis.
