Background: I've been playing for about 2 months and have completed a few 80's/90's playthroughs. My focus right now is to enjoy the game, collect feuds and tags that go with my favorite actual wrestler comps from the eras. So I'm currently not buying Star Wars, boy band, etc related cards. I'm also not buying foils so I don't have to worry about trying to get foils of all wrestlers involved in my inventory of tags/feuds to make them work. Im thinking I'll go for foils later when I feel like I've gotten stuck on my main collection build and need a fresh direction.
Anyway, here's the question: should I be buying cards I don't want just to get random slots available for cards I do want? Should I buy a foil Big Thuggee or a regular King of Pop to illuminate the overall card pool that can cone up in the 5 card refresh to increase chances of getting a Dude Brohan or Piere the Enormous? Does the Shop work like that?

Well short answer is yeah. The commons are going to come up way more than the legendaries. Catch legendaries and main eventers when they do pop up but you'll likely have to clear out the chaff to get them.

Yeah what Misty said. Basically the more cards you have left to buy, the least likely those big time cards are going to come up in the shop. Besides, if you don't want to use certain cards, ship them off to one of the other feds and make some money off them.
