I can't not associate Ace of Spades (90s) with The Rock because of the character design. Unfortunately, he's the first card that comes up in my current bookings and I can't unsee The Rock so regardless of his Stone Cold bio I always feel like I'm booking The Rock. Anybody else have this experience?
I wish we could get a redesign to have the character have more defined Austin features and less of The Rock feel.

Clearly you've never seen The Hunk. Hunk looks straight up Rock.
Ace of Spades looks like Ace Arcadium with a shaved head and goatee.

There is a vague resemblance between 90s Ace and "Hollywood" Rock when he first had the shaven head and was wearing the leather vest and sunglasses. That being said, when held up against The Hunk there's no confusion whatsoever as to who is inspired by who.

The original drawing felt more ‘Austin’-y bu t looking back, i guess it was just the position of the pose because the character design is exactly the same .
I’m a huge fan of the new art - and I’d love to see more re designs - but that specific pose just doesn’t give the SCSA vibe

My post/view has nothing to do with The Hulk. For clarity what I'm saying is when I see Ace of Spades 90 I see The Rock and therefore it feels like I'm using him not Stone Cold.

Attitude era Rock is my guy so much that I forget he had a shaved head for his last run in the WWF: I always picture him with the tight haircut and sideburns. Which is to say I never mistake Ace for Rock, but I had to read his bio to know he was Stone Cold-inspired. Since then, he's Austin to me.
Also my favourite artwork in the game: Rusty Shackles knocked that one out of the park.

I never had an issue with Ace of Spades being the Rock. When you do the various fueds they have for Ace of Spades do you see him as the Stone Cold?

I guess it's the yellow goatie that keeps me from seeing Rock. But the outfit on Ace 90's has been worn by a few wrestlers in time, minus the card symbol belt, of course.

90s Ace IS Stone Cold...but neither of the 80s Versions are reminiscent of Stunning Steve (long hair) or HollyWood Blondes Steve.
But even if you see any kind of resemblance with Rock...the feuds just don't match in the end.
