JWA Glory Episode 148 - Strap Match - Caine vs. Thorin

Caine taps the first then drags Thorin over the ring and taps the second.  The only thing going for Thorin at the moment is that he's dead weight and that's slowing Conor down.  Tembleberry on the outside of the ring has pulled himself together and sees the events in the ring, panicking his runs over to the announcers booth and grabs a bottle of water, he unscrews the lid and chucks the water in the ring over Thorin who splutters, but it's done it's job as Conor approaches turnbuckle number three Thorin yanks back on the rope and we now have a tug-of-war!

LERAY: "Thorin will be hard pressed to win a test of strength against the champ!"

BEEMAN: "Nonsense LeRay, he's stronger than you think!"

It's a stalemate in the ring, but for a moment, Caine loosens up and Thorin stumbles backwards, Caine follows up with a helluva kick which catches Thorin nicely on the jaw!  Thorin slumps into the ropes and the momentum is once again with Caine.  He looks to the turnbuckle...but then looks to Thorin...Caine, remembering what happened to him earlier in the match is looking for some payback and wraps the strap around the neck of his opponent, before jumping over the ropes essentially hanging Thorin!

Tembleberry is in full panic mode and he runs over to Caine and tries to pull him off...but all that's doing is adding more pressure to the choke.  Thorin is wildly flailing and inadvertently his hand strikes a turnbuckle...

Tembleberry releases Caine and goes to get something from his pocket.  Caine releases the strap briefly to grab a hold of Tembleberry, who he sends flying head first into the barricade with a huge crash, not noticing the item Tembleberry dropped on the apron as he did so!

In the ring, Thorin is slumped near the ropes taking deep breaths.  Caine is back in the ring and goes for the turnbuckles.  One...touch!   He then drags Thorin over who tries to pull himself up.  Two...touch!  But wait, Thorin stumbles into that one too.  Caine doesn't realise it's 2-2 at the moment!

Caine again tries to drag Thorin over to the third...touch!!  Thorin stumbles forwards and touches too (3-3) then, realising the position he's in, starts to put resistance into the strap so Caine, who is close to the fourth and final turnbuckle, turns to Thorin and goes for a Superman punch only for Thorin to catch the champ on his jaw cleanly!!  Caine stops for a few seconds before slumping barely conscious to the mat...Thorin grins and taps the fourth turnbuckle!!

LERAY: "Oh my god what has just happened here?!?"

BEEMAN: " I told you LeRay!  The power of the punch!!!"

LERAY: "Wait a minute..."

The referee calls for the bell and goes to unstrap Thorin and Caine.  He raises Thorin's arm in victory before going to check on a now stirring Caine.

Looking at the replays LeRay notices Thorin grab the object Tembleberry dropped and then sees Thorin wearing brass knuckles on his right hand!

A bloodied and battered Thorin stumbles out of the ring and starts to head up the ramp as Tembleberry drags himself to his feet and goes to follow.  In the ring, the referee is attending to Caine who has also been opened up after the brass knux shot.

BEEMAN: "Thorin wins!!!  Now give him the title shot!!!"

LERAY: "I can't believe what we've seen here today.  Two men went to war in that ring, but once again Thorin gets the win thanks to outside help."
