I was recently thinking about how I feel about some aspects of this game that I thought may be considered unpopular opinions. I'd like to share them with y'all and see how everyone feels and maybe if some of you could share your unpopular opinions as well.
1. Training - I'm a much bigger fan of how the training points are earned in Modern vs 80s. Taking 20 years to get that last point for Mercenary is a bit much
2. Opener Only match - I don't know why this bothers me, but it does. I think I'd rather see this be something like a "squash" match, where one participant is an opener or lower and the other is upper midcard or higher. Those televised shows back when I was a kid always seemed to have a big name destroying a little name.
3. (Saving the best for last) Foil cards. I don't like them as individual cards. I'd much rather see them as upgrades to regular cards. Instead of starting over and leveling up a new card from scratch, you have a few point in each category to bump. You could even have something like a gold coin price to "activate" the foil around the regular card.

I think I would like to see the opener match be changed to a squash match. They were great ways to build up wrestlers as dangerous by how fast they took down a jobber or opener.

Taking 20 years to get that last point for Mercenary is a bit much There's a part of me that wishes you could use a coin for training to finish off any attribute, not just skill. I've spent a combined almost 40 game years trying to max out Slashmaster's pop stat through various means and still cannot get the final point. |

I'd like it for the Ladies to be able to be on Opener & Midcard matches (also don't know if this is unpopular)

It may be an uncommon opinion rather than an unpopular one, but I’d love the ability to reverse my decision to control 2 feds and go back to just 1. I’d be happy to lose the coins I spent to activate it (or even spend some more), but I personally just preferred the way my game was before with only 1 fed

I like the idea of a "squash" match but the ability to still use manager cards to cause an upset.
Also more ladies matches - one per show (but throw in a tag match once per month and perhaps even a ladies tag team title)
Ditto re foil cards - Once you unlock the merch, does anyone ever use the regular card again when they have the foil version? My opening segment every show is a "dark match", purely for the purpose of unlocking merch!

I only wish we could use the continuum and legends cards to do Mic Spots & Skits too.  |

The recommended booking style isnt as awful as some people think it is and that midcard wrestlers in 80s mania can honestly be better options then upper - main event
