Greetings, grapple fans!
In tonight's main event, an unlikely team will look to close the book on an old rivalry as we begin the new year. Red Pirate Rogers will fight alongside former nemesis "Lord" Taylor Thorin, as well as Omega Satyros & Diablo, when they square off against the team known as The Mutiny, that being the former Colorful Crew of Vinny Bambino, Kenny Wynn, Chase Victory, and Peter Dombrowski. We saw Thorin align himself with the Crimson Corsair when The Mutiny turned their back on Rogers, and Omega and Diablo were more than happy to lend their aid against the troublesome quartet. Lately it appears that The Mutiny and the members of the East India Trading Company are working together, although Satryos may have handled that issue earlier today. Add to all of this the fact that Mack Caliber has returned to JWA and has made it known that he will be coming after Rogers sooner than later. What will happen in our explosive 4 vs 4 elimination match main event? Could we see a clean sweep? A come from behind victory? A shocking upset? The possibilities are endless!
(The polls will be open for at least 24 hours. It doesn't matter who you vote for, just that you participate!)
Unfortunately in last week's main event we didn't have a definitive winner between Winter Hex and Jessie Aldean. The rechristened "Mean Queen" returned to JWA with Chief Buffalo by her side, but the bout ended in a double disqualification when both participants took simultaneous shorcuts. This has led me to put together next week's 3-way battle to determine the next challenger for Daisy Turner's Women's World Championship at Destiny. It will be Winter Hex vs. Jessie Aldean vs. Artemis. All three women deserve the opportunity, but which one will earn it next week?
Arizona Chance and Chad Shredsbury have agreed to a face to face meeting here tonight in advance of their World Heavyweight Championship match at Destiny. We'll make sure to have extra security on hand in the event that this gets out of control.
We haven't heard from Bad Luck Bradley or Seph Kobane since they lost their JWA World Tag Team Championship match at the end of last year. Have they returned to The Compound?
Duke Mongoose and Penguino remain the tag team champions, and while Penguino has made it clear that those titles are his priority, Duke has been pestering Arizona Chance for a World Heavyweight Title match ever since Duke defeated the champ during the J-1 Pinnacle. Arizona has stated that he will face Duke after Destiny, which clearly didn't sit well with Mongoose, but that's just the way it's going to be. We expect to hear from the champs during tonight's show.
"Relentless" Conor Caine's road to recovery continues, and we hope to get an update from the former champion.
Let's get this underway! Get out there and work your gimmick!

Honest Sal: Please welcome my guest at this time, one half of the World Tag Team Champions... Duke Mongoose!
(Fans boo as Duke makes his way through the curtain and walks over to the podium next to Sal. Duke is wearing a shirt that reads "Who's Gonna Beat Us?")
Sal: Duke, an ovation you're getting pretty accustomed to around here.
Duke: SALLY BOY! Big Daddy Duke knows that, deep down, everyone loves Duke Mongoose!
(Fans boo harder)
Sal: We heard from Penguino during the week that he's only interested in the tag team titles, and that he has no interest in pursuing singles glory while champion. Any thoughts on that?
Duke: Firstly, I'd like to address our "champion" Arizona Chance. I heard what you said last week. You want me to keep my mouth shut about getting a shot at the title until after Destiny? You say it's because if you lose the title, I lose my shot. I heard you loud and clear, champ! (Duke removes his sunglasses and winks exaggeratedly into the camera).
Sal: I'm not sure that Arizona was trying to tell you anything other than to wait your turn.
Duke: Sure, Sal. You believe whatever you want to believe. Now back to your original question - my boy Penguino says he only wants to defend these tag titles? That's fine by me! Find us some challengers so we can have a spot on the Destiny card like we deserve! Pair up any two of these idiots in tonight's main event! My boy and I will face anyone, because we'll defeat anyone! We're the forever champs, baby!
Sal: Am I to understand that you're posting something of an "open challenge" for Destiny?
Duke: I guess you could say that. Duke Mongoose & Penguino will defend the tag titles at Destiny against ANY TEAM that steps up. You hear that?!?! Line up. Bunch up. Get some!
Sal: I guess we'll wait and see who accepts the challenge.
Duke: Whoever it is, they'll be calling their grandmothers, because this one's over!
(Duke removes his title belt and waves it in the direction of the fans, who resume booing)
Sal: Fans, stay tuned because we've got more action coming up after this quick word from our sponsors!

After Duke’s promo the arena goes dark and the Tron flashes on with a graphic of a cartoon mask and cape. Sounds of heavy breathing and wheezing fill the building. The words appear.

At the start of the main event, The Mutiny is announced and enter to a grand version of Modern Major General (a subtle dig at Rogers whose song comes from the same operetta). Vinny looks extra fancy in a big coat with ornate epaulets and a giant admiral hat, commanding Kenny and Chase here and there while fans boo.
Wink takes the mic and introduces the good guys…

Sympathy for the Devil begins playing as Diablo steps out, soaking in the cheers he'd spent so much of his career avoiding. He stays at the top of the entrance ramp...
Wink: From the Hills of Arcadia. "UNDENIABLE" OMEGA SATYROS!
Andromeda begins playing as Omega comes out, flanked by Black Cat and Troglo. All three nod before Black Cat and Troglo head to the back. Omega stands beside his mentor, soaking in the moment and the fans' cheers. Vinny Bambino looks disgusted as Omega and Diablo stay at the top of the entrance ramp, awaiting their allies in this bout.
LeRay: This is the first proper action we've seen from Diablo in JWA. Not counting the match on Mania where he subbed in for Black Cat alongside The Mutiny's Kenny Wynn and Chase Victory. That started something of a winning streak for Black Cat on Mania up until his loss to Arizona Chance a week or two back.
Beeman: Last time I saw Black Cat was when he got his ass beat and burned by Winter Hex. I ain't impressed. Besides, he ain't even in this matchup. Diablo is, and he, Omega, Taylor Thorin, and Red Pirate Rogers are going to fall to The Mutiny. Red Pirate Rogers created his worst nightmare when he decided to train up that crew of his. He made them a well oiled machine, and I can't believe that this ragtag wannabe adversaries to The Mutiny can coexist in any degree as well, no matter what chemistry the pretend to have.
LeRay: Strong words from you Beeman, back to Wink for introductions.

Wink: Next, from Port Royale, Florida, accompanied by his valet Trembleberry, Lord TAYLOR THORIN!!
Beeman: I still can't believe that his Lordship is actually standing beside those goobers.
LeRay: Vinny and company did start a scheme that saw Thorin lose his status, most of his wealth and get him locked up in a dungeon.
Beeman: Yeah, but, working with Rogers? AND the Goat guy? The smell of those two alone has to be worse punishment than any of that other stuff!
(Thorin looks a little unsure as he's greeted by a lot of cheers and is moving slowly to the ring when Wink announces the last member of the team)
Wink: And finally...(Pirate King begins to play) hailing from the Seven Seas...the Crimson Corsair himself...RED PIRATE ROGERS!!!!!
(Rogers comes out excited and energized, he greets fans with high fives and catches up to Thorin and Trembleberry, he takes a moment to put an arm around Thorin and offer a fist bump with nods of encouragement as the climb to the ring and the Mutiny slip out to the floor)
LeRay: We're ready to go in the culmination of this high profile feud, the only question now is who is going to start the match?
(The Mutiny circles around to the side of the ring, then gestures to smacktalk the other team, the shouting intensifies as Rogers turns to his new "crew" and taps his own chest to signify that he wants to start, as they step over the rope, Vinny Bambino slides in and scoots over to...give him a surprise rollup?)
LeRay: I'm not sure the match has started yet, but Vinny's going for a pin!
Beeman: Brilliant strategy!!
LeRay: Rogers rolls through, there's the bell, and Rogers OH! Standing dropkick sends Vinny reeling.
Beeman: No fair!! Vinny wasn't ready!!
LeRay: Vinny's in the ropes now, as Rogers gets to his feet, and Vinny charges in oh, Headscissors takedown on Rogers...can he capitalize before Rogers gets to his feet?

I spin Rogers around, grab him, hoist him up on my shoulders, toss him skyward, and connect with the chain-assisted Magnum Slug as he descends. Blood begins to flow from the wound in inflicted as I drag Vinny over the top of Red, who is KO’ed. I roll out of the ring and hop back in the crowd, the ref turns around and counts to three. Rogers is eliminated, and as I promised, he’s wearing a crimson mask. |

Chad extends his hand to take the mic from Chance, and for a split second the uncomfortable smile turns to something more sinister. As his right hand grasps the mic, his knee thrusts directly into the World Champion’s bits and pieces. Arizona doubles over and Chad ddt’s him into the canvas.
LeRay. Is this guy kidding me?! What a cheap shot!
Beeman. Chance told him to give it his best shot. He never specified what type of shot it had to be. This is legit!
Chad gets up and dusts himself off, a confident smile back on his face. The crowd’s boos are deafening. Arizona lies on his face, clutching his groin, rolling back and forth in pain. Shredsbury looks down at him, leans forward and slowly lifts the JWA Championship off of Chance. He looks at it very closely, then wide mouth breathes into a small panel of it and wipes it with his shirt as if to polish it. Then he gently puts the belt down and exits.

They continue walking across Shibuya but you can clearly see the fear in Daisy's eyes.

Omega gets in the ring to pick up the pin on a near unconscious Vinny. Chase and Kenny break up the pin. Diablo gets in and delivers a kick to Kenny as Omega knocks down Chase.
LeRay: It's pandemonium in this matchup so far. Mack Caliber already took Red Pirate Rogers out of this match.
Beeman: And the numbers advantage keeps Vinny in it. It's not looking good for Omega and Diablo.
LeRay: And Thorin.
Beeman: Don't remind me that the Lord is stuck with them.
Vinny delivers a cheap shot to Omega, who stumbles to the corner, allowing Thorin to tag himself in. |

Arizona is backstage, ice pack on his groin, watching the 4v4.
LERAY: Caliber out of nowhere! He’s left Rogers in a bloody heap!
BEEMAN: Serves him right after…
Arizona tries to get up to chase after Mack, but after two steps he doubles over in pain. He curses under his breath and waits for Red to join him in the med room.

That was a rather over zealous tag from Thorin there, almost a chop to the back of Omega!
Thorin gets in and stares a hole through Vinny, who charges at him with a clothesline attempt...Thorin ducks, grabs a waist and delivers a snap German Suplex. Thorin wastes no time and mounts Vinny, delivering a few forearm smashes to his head. Vinny does his best to cover and eventually scrambles out, grabbing a rope and forcing the referee to push Thorin away.
Thorin argues with the referee, allowing Vinny to tag out. In comes Peter D. He grabs Thorin from behind and headbutts the back of Thorin's head. Thorin stumbles back and Peter D hooks his arms around his Lordship, lifting him up into a bear hug.
LERAY: "Dombrowski using his size advantage and they know Thorin has suffered damage to his ribs before"
Thorin punches Dombrowski a couple of times and uses a headbutt of his own, followed by another, the second of which catches the big man flush on his nose stunning him enough to drop Thorin as he staggers backwards. Thorin points something out to the referee who turns to reprimand Vinny who has gotten up but hasn't returned to his corner, which gives Thorin chance to nail Dombrowski with a kick to the area that should only be treated gently.
The crowd, particularly the males, ooooo in sympathy. The referee turns back around and sees Thorin turn towards his corner, but instead of tagging out, delivers a spinning forearm smash which puts Dombrowski down!
Chase and Kenny jump the ropes and charge at Thorin, going for a double clothesline, but are they met by flying dropkicks from Omega & Diablo! Vinny gets back in but a running knee from Thorin sends him back out.
The referee tries to separate Omega, Diablo, Chase & Kenny...and while he does Tembleberry slides something in the ring which Thorin picks up. Dombrowski is back up and goes to grab Thorin but is met with a huge punch! Dombrowki collapses unconscious as Thorin smirks before fiddling with his trunks and making the cover just as the referee turns around...1...2...3!!!
LERAY: "Dombrowski is eliminated! We're back to 3v3!!"
The two luchadors and Chase & Kenny continue to brawl on the outside. The crowd stir as the curtains on the entrance flap open and out walks the head of the EITC, Bullingham with some EITC flunkies by his side. Tembleberry alerts Thorin to this and Thorin reaches back into his trunks and pulls out whatever he hid in there...it's clear to most watching it's a set of brass knux! He slides out the ring and meets one of the flunkies with another punch! Tembleberry appears with a chair and takes out two more! Another punch from Thorin takes out a fourth!
It leaves Thorin & Tembleberry staring down Bullingham who realizes his position and starts to back off...when Vinny nails Tembleberry from behind, before turning to Thorin only to be met with another punch which KO's him!
In the ring the referee has regained some order and turns to the entrance way where Thorin has grabbed a hold of Bullingham...BAM!! A punch knocks the fat man down!! Thorin doesn't stop there and mounts, before transitioning into a wicked looking armbar!
BEEMAN: "He's going to break that arm!!!"
The bell rings and Wink runs to the ring to speak to the referee...
WINK: "The referee has counted out both Vinny Bambino and Taylor Thorin therefore both are eliminated!"
By now, a tonne of security are out and have dragged Thorin off Bullingham. Medics are checking over the head of the EITC as the security see the goons out. Thorin smirks, wipes his hands, then he and Tembleberry simply walk out.
LERAY: "Well, we are down to 2v2. Omega and Diablo against the long established team of Kenny and Chase..."
BEEMAN: "This is madness!!"
