JWA Presents...
SUPER GLORY
SUPER GLORY
(The screen is black, then we hear a narrator speak)
Narrator: Five great warriors meet on the battlefield, but only one will walk away with the glory...
(A quick video package runs showing clips and highlights of the participants in tonight's main event set to upbeat rock music. It ends on a freeze frame of Arizona Chance holding the JWA World Heavyweight Title belt, with the four contenders superimposed into the four corners of the screen. The image then fades away and we get a shot of Mick LeRay, Sean Beeman, and Toni Cruise seated at a desk somewhere in the upper section of the JWA Studio)
Toni Cruise: Hello everyone, and welcome to the Super Glory kickoff panel! I'm your host, Toni Cruise, and I'm joined by the men who'll be calling the action tonight, none other than "The Professor" Mick LeRay and "Savvy" Sean Beeman. Gentlemen.
Mick LeRay: Toni, always a pleasure, and yes! We're coming to you live and direct from the JWA Studio on what might be the most important night in the history of our great sport!
Sean Beeman: We're doing a kickoff show now? I sure hope there's an incentive bonus in my pay for this gig.
Toni: Let's take a look at tonight's card. Up first we've got a match for the JWA World Tag Team Championship, as the "Forever Champs" Duke Mongoose & Penguino put their titles on the line against the winners of the Mad Dash Tag Lottery, that being the "Pirates of DOOM" Red Pirate Rogers & The Greatest Wrestler OF DOOM. I'll start with you Mick - who do you see as the favorite in this one?
LeRay: It's hard to argue against the champs retaining here tonight. Despite their lack of prior experience as a team, Duke and Penguino have formed the kind of unit that most teams only dream about becoming. No one expected them to win the gold, let alone hold onto it this long. That being said, Rogers and DOOM have the momentum on their side, having defeated two other teams to get here tonight. I'll remind you, that's two more victories as a team than the champs had before their first title opportunity.
Beeman: I'm speechless. I'm stunned. I can't believe that LeRay is actually singing the praises of the Forever Champs! I've known for a long time that Big Daddy Duke had it in him to be one of the greatest in this industry, and say what you will about Penguino - Lord knows I have - but he's proven to be a trustworthy ally. I'm going with the champs to retain as well, because the only way Rogers and DOOM are winning tonight is divine intervention or dumb luck!
Toni: Moving on to our next bout, "The Mean Queen" Jessie Aldean makes her first defense of the JWA Women's World Championship against "The Huntress" Artemis. Jessie will have Chief Buffalo in her corner, but Artemis will no doubt be flanked by her Hunters. Sean, we'll start with you. How do you see this one going?
Beeman: This is really a tough one for me. Both of these ladies are tough as nails and skilled fighters, in their own ways. I think in the end it's going to come down to the people on the outside of the ring. I'm not saying that Jessie and Artemis aren't capable of defeating the other by themselves, but what I am saying is that I get the sneaking suspicion that their seconds are going to be the deciding factor.
LeRay: I think this one is going to be a Pier Six brawl. Jessie may have made strides over the past few months since her return to JWA, but she's nowhere near as refined of a competitor as her challenger, Artemis. That being said, I have to agree with Sean that the outside factors will likely play a significant role in the outcome of this match. Just going by the numbers, I'm going to say I think we're going to see a new champion here tonight.
Toni: Now, let's take a look at our main event. Arizona Chance decided he wanted to put the title on the line against all of the top contenders at once, and so we've got it. A five way match for the JWA World Heavyweight Championship! Arizona Chance, Chad Shredsbury, Mack Caliber, Duke Mongoose, and Omega Satyros will all be vying for the title. Mick, how do you see this one turning out?
LeRay: Fortune favors the bold, Toni, and it seems there's none more bold than our champion. However, under these circumstances there's no champion's advantage. There's really no advantage whatsoever for any competitor in this match. They've all been in action recently due to the Mad Dash Tag Lottery, so no one is coming in completely fresh, and in Duke Mongoose's case he's working double duty tonight. I think the winner is going to be the person who creates their own advantage and takes advantage of it first. It pains me to say it, but I'm going with Chad Shredsbury. He's shown as of late that he's willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead, and he's coming off a draw against Arizona back at Destiny.
Beeman: First I'd like to say that it's completely unfair that Duke Mongoose has to wrestle twice tonight and no one else in the main event has to! It's completely unfair! I agree with LeRay's point that whoever can take advantage of whatever they can first is going to walk out as champion, and I think that's none other than Mack Caliber. I was torn between Mack and Chad, but my gut says Mack. He's just got a little more edge to him lately.
Toni: There you have it, fans. Super Glory is just about to begin, but don't forget that in addition to all this action we've also got Winter Hex's Q&A session to look forward to. Don't go anywhere, because Super Glory starts NOW!
(The polls will be open for at least 24 hours. It doesn't matter who you vote for, just that you participate!)
