Greetings, grapple fans!
Tonight is our final qualifying match to see who will join Penguino and Red Pirate Rogers at next week's Fortune & Glory PPV to determine the first ever JWA Openweight Champion! It's a battle of the big boys this week, as Duke Mongoose will face off against Pierre The Enormous and JWA newcomer Thumper Moore III. Pierre will be looking to succeed where his good friend Troglo came up short last week. Thumper Moore will be looking to make a big impression and a name for himself early in his JWA career, but he'll have to keep an eye out for Domination, Inc. who he's recently run afoul of. And Duke... well, Duke is going to do what Duke always does. Who will stand triumphant in the end? We'll find out soon enough!
(The polls will be open for at least 24 hours. It doesn't matter who you vote for, just that you participate!)
Red Pirate Rogers scored the victory last week and booked his spot in the JWA Openweight Championship triple threat match at next week's Fortune & Glory pay per view. Red was able to overcome three-time Women's World Champion Daisy Turner and Troglo, although Domination, Inc. certainly tried to get involved and stop him. Thumper Moore III was on the scene to help keep things fair, but can we expect the same from Rogers should they attempt to interfere tonight?
Speaking of Domination, Inc., "Charismatic" Conor Caine & "The Closer" Omega Satyros need challengers for their World Tag Team Championship at Fortune & Glory. Perhaps a pairing of those who didn't advance in the Openweight Title tournament? Perhaps MULTIPLE pairings? Who will step up? *cough* DOOM *cough*
Last week it was revealed that Lady Diana Gallus is the secret admirer of "Lord" Taylor Thorin, however it was also revealed that someone else has been stalking his Lordship and seems to be attempting to undermine Lady Diana's efforts. Who is this mysterious person, and what is their goal in interfering with Lady Diana and Taylor Thorin's personal affairs?
Could it be at all related to whatever this Blue Butterfly stuff is about?
Hopefully we'll get some answers to all of our questions. Now get out there and work your gimmick!

("Fatal Charm" by Billy Idol begins to play and the crowd grows less and less thrilled as the bass intro drones on. When the full song kicks in and Duke bursts through the curtain, prancing and strutting, you wouldn't believe how upset the fans are)
LeRay: Here he comes, and you can't miss him, the man who calls himself Big Daddy Duke is on his way to the ring.
Beeman: You make it sound like being able to see Duke from space is a bad thing.
LeRay: As Duke Mongoose makes his way to the ring, let's go to these pre-recorded comments from the man himself.
(A picture-in-picture box comes into the top right of the screen while Duke climbs onto the ring apron and poses for his adoring fans, all none of them)
Duke: It's clash of the titans here on JWA Glory, as Big Daddy Duke is going to put a Giant to sleep, and a giant pain in the rear-end to sleep as well! I don't care how big and bad you are, nobody can resist the dark embrace of my Cobra Clutch! Thumper Moore, I hope for your sake that your grandpappy ain't watching, because I'm going to embarrass you! That is, if those Domination boys don't get to you first! Thumper? Pierre? You'd better have your grandmothers on speed dial, because this one is going to be over quick!
(The inset box fades away as Duke stands on the turnbuckles flexing harder than he's ever flexed before)
Beeman: Duke brings up a good point.
LeRay: And that would be?
Beeman: Everyone should have their grandmothers on speed dial.
LeRay: Because everyone should talk to their grandmothers more often?
Beeman: NO! Because it's faster for them to call their grandmothers after Duke puts them to sleep!
LeRay: Oh brother, it's going to be one of those nights.

A vignette plays. The screen shifts between static and an image of a shattered mirror.
Voice: You can try to put me away. Hide all you want. It won't be enough. You have two weeks to get your affairs in order. Because when that time passes, EVERYONE will know.
We go to the ring as "Run The World" by Beyonce sounds out to the crowd. Diana looks uneasy as she makes her way to the ring for a match against Leslie Gleam.
Beeman: What a beauty, I don't get why these fans aren't enchanted by Leslie. I mean look at her.
LeRay: Maybe it's because they look at more than just the exterior Beeman.
The bell rings and Diana starts the match off strong, looking to vent her frustrations. She immediately brings Leslie down with Take The Crown (Headbutt). Leslie kicks out at two. She keeps the heat on Gleam with a series of forearms.
LeRay: After everything she's been through the past few weeks, who could blame Diana for taking out her anger.
Beeman: I can, Leslie did nothing wrong to her, she doesn't deserve this treatment.
Diana soon locks in the Phalanx Maneuver, but before Gleam could tap, the distorted voice sounds.
Voice: 14 days Diana.
The brief distraction is enough for Leslie to reverse the Maneuver into a roll-up for the three. Diana is beside herself as Leslie rolls out of the ring celebrating her win.
LeRay: Diana had the match won! Whoever is behind this voice has a lot to answer for whenever they make themselves known.

On the Jerkatron is displayed:
I. AM. UNDENIABLE.
Our Solemn Hour by Within Temptation begins to play.
LERAY: And here comes Thumper Moore III. He’s made quite an impact since joining JWA, already seemingly at odds with the entirety of Domination Inc.
BEEMAN: There’s a school of thought where you go and tweak the nose of the biggest bully in the room if you want to be the best. That’s a dumb school, but that’s what Thumper has done.
LERAY: Moore confidently swaggers his way to the ring and rolls in. Duke gets right up in Moore’s face— they’re about the same height, but Thumper is just so much more massive.
BEEMAN: Oh boy. Duke, look out!
LERAY: Pierre has just gotten behind Duke and taps him on the shoulder. Duke turns around— he finds himself stuck between well over 800 pounds of mountain-like men. Duke quickly rolls out as Pierre and Thumper share a laugh. And there’s the bell! Thumper and Pierre shake hands and start trading huge chops to each other’s chest— each chop reverberates through to the rafters!
BEEMAN: And they’re smiling at each other! These sickos!
LERAY: Duke rolls in to take advantage of the situation— he eats a double chop from Pierre and Thumper and rolls back outside as the two massive men continue to just pummel each other with vicious chops!

LeRay: Duke rolls back in and signals for a test of strength. Both men look at him, suspiciously.
Beeman: They would be right. I'm sure Duke's got a plan.
(Pierre's hands are preposterously higher than either Duke or Thumper can reach. Pierre begins to laugh)
LeRay: A three-way test of strength is certainly not in the cards. Mongoose turns and kicks Pierre in the midsection. Moore gives a shrug and kicks Pierre as well! It looks like a momentary alliance has been formed in the early seconds of this match.
Beeman: Work smarter, not harder.
(Duke and Thumper knock Pierre back into a corner with punches and kicks. Duke offers Thumper a handshake)
LeRay: I know Moore is new around here, but he HAS to know better than to accept a disingenuous handshake from Duke.
Beeman: Shut up, Mick! Duke's a sportsman!
(Moore accepts Duke's hand, which causes Duke to laugh for a second, before turning to shouts of agony.)
Beeman: What's going on?
LeRay: It appears Thumper Moore III is crushing Duke's hand! Serves him right!
Beeman: No fair!
LeRay: OH MY! While those two were distracted, Pierre has recovered and he comes charging out of the corner and laid both men out with a double clothesline!

*I thump my belly and charge at the pair*

(Moore manages to escape in the nick of time, but Duke gets squashed in the corner by Pierre)
Beeman: I can't believe how quick TM3 is for a man his size.
LeRay: Duke looks like all of the life has been squeezed out him, but Pierre looks puzzled as to where Thumper went to. Hold on, Moore has Pierre hooked - he can't be serious? It looks like he's going for a backdrop suplex!
(Moore hoists Pierre up with a significant effort, but Pierre manages to flip over and land on his feet. The crowd gasps)
Beeman: HOLY SH*T!
LeRay: Language! But I agree! Even Pierre looks stunned by this turn of events!
Beeman: No time for that, here comes Thumper!
LeRay: Cross body by Thumper manages to take down the giant and a cover - only a one count!
Beeman: Can somebody check on Duke? He hasn't moved since he got squashed. I think he might be dead.

*I shake the cobwebs out and I see Duke in the cover and I grin sadistically*
Beeman: What's he doing...
LeRay: I think I know what's gonna happen...
*I grab Duke and put him in a powerbomb position*
Pierre: UP AND DOWN! UP AND DOWN! UP AND DOWN!
Beeman: STOP THE MADNESS!
*I sit on Duke to pin him*

LeRay: Thumper Moore with the save right before the referee can make the final count!
Beeman: Remember how I thought Duke was dead before? Now I think he might actually be dead. Wait, he's slowly rolling out of the ring.
LeRay: That's probably for the best. Meanwhile we've got another standoff between Pierre and Moore. Moore with a knife-edge chop! Listen to that crack! Pierre doesn't seem phased!
Beeman: It is possible that Moore is just irritating the big guy.
LeRay: Another chop by Moore, and another! The sound is making the fans in attendance wince, but Pierre continues to be unmoved. This is incredible!
*CRACK*
Beeman: GOOD LORD!
LeRay: A frying pan like chop from Pierre levels Thumper Moore! Clearly this is a more serious exchange than earlier in the bout!
Beeman: It would seem that any friendship these two had forged has gone out the window, at least for the time being.
LeRay: Moore rolls to the relative safety of the ropes, but Pierre is on the move as well. Here comes Duke Mongoose and he catches Pierre from behind with a bulldog headlock! Mongoose scampers up to the second turnbuckle and comes crashing down with a falling reverse elbow smash to the fallen giant!
Beeman: Duke's getting a second wind!
LeRay: Duke goes for a cover, but Pierre is out immediately at two! Duke with a series of Mongolian Chops, and now he's attempting to apply the Cobra Clutch.
Beeman: Hurry, Duke! Thumper is getting back to his feet!

LERAY: Thumper Moore grabs Duke as he tries to apply the hold. He slams Duke right on top of Pierre!!
BEEMAN: Now thats just not fair.
LERAY: Moore to the top rope! What’s he thinking? Oh my! A huge moonsault onto both Pierre and Duke!
BEEMAN: That’s gotta be illegal!
LERAY: Moore stacks up both men! One, two, and Pierre and Duke combine to launch Thumper off them and under the bottom rope to the outside. Pierre up quickly and he steps over the top rope and drops to the floor. Duke has shaken out the cobwebs and sees Pierre and Thumper battling on the floor— he bounces off the opposite ropes—
BEEMAN: Duke is gonna fly!
LERAY: Duke sprints and— he pulls up and taps the side of his head, laughing. The crowd boos him mercilessly— Pierre and Thumper both grabs one of Duke’s legs and drag him outside!
BEEMAN: That’s gotta be criminal!
LERAY: All three men are outside— we’ve got to go to commercial!

Coming back from commercial, Thumper's the first getting back to his feet. He turns to pick Duke up before Bon Jovi sings out "Wanted: Dead or Alive." Moore turns to the entrance ramp, getting up to the ropes before getting turned around into a Satyr Kick that sends him over the ropes.
LeRay: Damnit, why do these guys have to keep ruining these matches.
Beeman: Oh come on, as if Rogers didn't 'power through adversity to win' last week. Thumper Moore probably send Black Cat to the hospital, why wouldn't Omega do this?
Omega begins brawling with Moore up the ramp, delivering a number of punches before laying Moore out with another Satyr Kick as cannon shots fire.

I hop over the railing unannounced. I hit a German suplex on Pierre, and a Magnum Slug on Duke. Anger etched across my face, I go to the announce table and tear Leray’s headset off his head. I scream into the microphone:
It should be me out here! I’m a former world champ, not these clowns! Whoever wins this sham of a tournament— count your blessings that I wasn’t in it, and know that I’ll be waiting for you when it’s over to take the belt off your sorry carcass.
I throw the headset down and it shatters into a thousand pieces before I jump the railing and head out.

(As Red Pirate Rogers' music plays, Duke manages to pull himself back into the ring)
LeRay: It's absolute chaos out here! Mack Caliber laid everyone out, then Omega Satyros singled out Thumper and has him knocked unconscious near the entrance curtain, and Red Pirate Rogers appears to be on his way to even the score! Meanwhile we've still got a match going on, and it appears that Duke Mongoose is the first back into the ring.
Beeman: Pierre doesn't seem to be moving. Can Duke get a count out win?
LeRay: In a three way match?
Beeman: Hey, if two of the three competitors are outside of the ring, why not? Duke's the only legal man in the ring, why couldn't he win by count out?
LeRay: You know, you've got a point. And it appears that Duke is arguing his case to the official. Lets see if Rothburn Sallie goes along with that line of thinking...
