Penguino vs. Red Pirate Rogers vs. Duke Mongoose

[Duke Mongoose]

("Fatal Charm" by Billy Idol plays and the fans come to their feet to offer a standing boo-vation as Duke Mongoose struts his way to the ring)

LeRay: Could Duke Mongoose claim his first singles championship in his career here tonight?

Beeman: Of course he can, and he will! That stupid bird brain isn't going to stand a chance, and neither is Penguino!

LeRay: I see what you did there. Indeed, Duke has a tough task ahead of him against two opponents he's struggled to beat in the past.

Beeman: He's only struggled because Rogers is an awful cheat, and Duke doesn't want to beat up his boy, Penguino.

(Duke climbs into the ring and stands on the second rope, posing as the sea of fans in the arena boo him mercilessly)

LeRay: This could be the final chapter in the Mongoose/Penguino rivalry, or it could be another feather in the cap of the crimson corsair.

Beeman: Obviously my money is on Big Daddy Duke to take home the gold, but there's definitely a part of me that would love for Rogers to go all out and win tonight, just so he'll be easy pickings for Domination, Inc. inside BATTLEDOME! Ha ha ha!

LeRay: We won't have to wait long, as I think I hear a familiar song playing...

[Red Pirate Rogers]

The tinny sound of "Better far to live and die..." (aka the Pirate King theme by Gilbert and Sullivan) plays and then the traditional cannon blasts sound to announce the arrival of Red Pirate Rogers. 

LeRay: Here comes the legendary Red Pirate Rogers, it would be quite a moment if he were to walk out of here tonight with not one but two wins to give him a new title and a much needed advantage in stopping the scourge of Domination, Inc.

Beeman: How do you do it, Mick?

LeRay: Do what?

Beeman: How do you say all those words while simultaneously kissing Rogers' scurvy butt??

LeRay: Oh, please...

Beeman: It would be something if Rogers walked out of here with two wins, but let's be clear, he's not going to walk out of here with ANY wins...not even those cockamamie "moral" victories he likes so much. Get ready to watch the Scarlet Swabber swallow some long over due humble pie!

[Penguino]

“Stay Vicious” by the Gaslight Anthem begins to play on the loudspeakers and Penguino and Johnny Kobra come out to an excited crowd.

LeRay “Penguino might be one of the favorites to win this match especially considering the roll that he’s been on recently.”

Beeman “Yeah but big daddy Duke has stopped a whole lot of rolls before and he’ll do it again.”

Penguino enters the ring and the bell rings, Penguino and Duke stare each other down initially ignoring Rogers but he inserts himself into the equation by clotheslining Penguino.

LeRay “Penguino taken out and now Red Pirate Rogers and Duke Mongoose go at each other with strikes. Duke punches Rogers straight in the nose and Red runs back to the ropes before coming back with a huge drop kick sending Mongoose to the floor.”

Beeman “See the dastardly pirate knew he couldn’t take Duke one on one striking so he needed to coward out.”

[Red Pirate Rogers]

With Duke out on the floor, Rogers turns back to Penguino, he bounces off the ropes and hits a springboard moonsault, then stands at Penguino's side...

LeRay: Rogers on the attack, is he...he is! He's going for the figurehead submission!

Beeman: Psssh...that's dumb, Penguino's not nearly hurt enough to let him do it...

LeRay: I've gotta say it, you're right Sean. But I can see Rogers' thinking, the shorter this match, the fresher he'll be for Battledome

Beeman: If that's more important to him, he should just let Duke-y give him the old Fatal Fingerpoke!

LeRay: You're hopeless...

Penguino does fight against the hold and slips away while Duke comes charging in with a running knee to thwack an unsuspecting Rogers.

[Duke Mongoose]

LeRay: Duke with a series of Mongolian Chops to Rogers, and now a series of Mongolian Chops to Penguino.

Beeman: He's chopping them down to size!

LeRay: Duke applies the Ionian Nerve Grip to Rogers!

Beeman: Look out, Duke! Here comes Penguino!

LeRay: Ionian Nerve Grip to Penguino as well! But Duke can't truly lock in the hold because he can't grip his own wrist to turn the grip MAGNA.

(Almost as if on cue, Penguino and Rogers break free from Duke's grip with stereo kicks to the midsection, then perform a double brain buster on Duke)

Beeman: Oh sure, team up on the biggest threat in this match. You cowards!

LeRay: Rogers with the cover, but Penguino immediately breaks it up. Penguino tries, and Rogers breaks it up.

Beeman: That team ended quickly.

LeRay: It's every man for himself, after all.

Beeman: Every man AND bird, for himself.

LeRay: Indeed.

[Penguino]

LeRay “Duke now rolls out of the ring to give himself a breather on the outside, Penguino and Red are looking at each other and Rogers ducks under a clothesline and returns the favor with a drop kick if his own.”

Beeman “Now look at Penguino backing away like a coward.”

LeRay “Penguino gets back to his webbed feet and goes straight at Rogers who again ducks a clothesline going for a drop kick to counter again but this time that is dodged as well and Penguino deadlifts him up from the floor for a German suplex. What strength from the humanoid penguin.”

Penguino bridges for the pin and Rogers kicks out at 1.5.

LeRay “Duke is starting to enter the ring again and Penguino baseball slides between the apron and the bottom rope to kick him in the face, Duke backs up but is still on his feet and Penguino runs off the ropes for a Plancha onto Duke, Penguino lifts up Duke but now Red is back on his feet and jumps onto both of them with a suicide dive! What a sequence of events!”

[Duke Mongoose]

Beeman: There's a pile of humanity right in front of us. And a bird!

LeRay: Rogers is first to his feet and he tosses Duke back into the ring.

(Rogers whips Duke into the ropes, but Duke ducks under a clothesline attempt, then under a back elbow attempt, before coming back a third time and catching Rogers with the Running Neckbreaker Drop)

LeRay: Duke manages to get the upper hand, but here comes Penguino from the top rope - Duke moves! Penguino crashes onto the prone pirate! Mongoose grabs hold of Penguino and drives him into the mat with a Jumping Piledriver! Duke's not finished, and he looks to be lining up Rogers for something.

Beeman: Duke is going to seal the deal right now. New champion, I'm calling it right now.

LeRay: Mongoose climbs to the second rope - the most dangerous rope - and comes off with a falling back elbow smash but Rogers moves out of the way! Rogers now locks on the Figurehead!

Beeman: This is a disaster! Penguino! SAVE DUKE!

[Red Pirate Rogers]

LeRay: Rogers looks locked in, he's not about to give Duke a chance to escape, but OH! Penguino comes through with another baseball slide to Rogers and he drops Duke...Penguino with a quick cover on Rogers, 1...2...no!

Beeman: Come on Forever Champs!! You can share the glory and get back to your winning ways!

LeRay: You said it, they were the champs forever and then Rogers and DOOM turned it all around and things haven't been the same since for Duke Mongoose...wonder if Duke is thinking about that as he joins Penguino in grabbing Rogers looks like...yes a double vertical suplex! and Rogers is in real trouble. Duke looking to make the cover, but Penguino oooh, a stiff flipper to the chest if there ever was one.

Beeman: No, don't fight over the pin, just focus on beating up Rogers!!

[Penguino]

LeRay "Duke and 'Guino are fighting about who's gonna take the cover but they have seemed to reach a compromise and that is to continue beating up Red Pirate Rogers."

Beeman "Yes look at the masterclass that Duke is putting on here with his punches while Penguino holds Rogers up."

LeRay "Teamwork makes the dreamwork for anyone except Rogers right now. Roger has now crumbled down to his knees and Duke looks at Penguino, who has dropped Rogers and is looking for a punch but no Penguino has caught his arm, he hooks it around his neck and now one suplex, two suplexes, the three Penguino's to Duke."

Beeman "No Duke! Get out of there!"

LeRay "Penguino isn't done though and as we've seen many times before he lifts him back up for Thin Ice and back again for Ice Fishing, but he still isn't done, he gets him back up and the Icebereaker, The cover 1.2... No Rogers has just made it up in time to break up the pin prolong the match just a little bit longer."

Beeman "For once the filthy pirate does something right and helps Duke win."

LeRay "I don't think that's the reason he broke up the pin. Rogers and Penguino are botrh standing on shaky legs now and trading punches and flipper chops back and forth and Rogers backs up and nails a superkick to the beak of Penguino sending him crashing to the mat, Rogers with not much else left to give falls on Penguino for the cover but it's a two count and the match continues."

Beeman  "Duke is getting up we could be saved from a terrible first title run."

LeRay "Duke is on his feet and attacks Rogers with a Mongolian Chop followed by a suplex, what is this now though Duke is helping Penguino to his feet and tells him to get to the top rope, Penguino obliges and nails Red with a Flying Penguin."

Beeman "And now look at the genius of Duke who throws Penguino out of the ring, he's going to stea- I mean fairly win this match."

LeRay "Duke indeed throws 'Guino out and falls on the pirate for the cover, 1.2. No Johnny Kobra pulls the official out of the ring stopping the pinfall."

Beeman "No he's cheating!"

LeRay "Duke goes after Johnny now and is yelling at himn after that incident but look from behind Penguino is back and with a chair."

Beeman "Duke look out!"

LeRay "Mongoose turns around and is nailed with a chair to the head, he falls 'Guino drops the chair in the center of the ring grabs Duke and nails an Icebreaker on the chair the cover 1.2.3. Penguino is the inaugural Openweight Champion."

Beeman "This isn't fair he cheated. Multiple times. This federation has gone to hell."

LeRay "How would a Penguin be champion in hell is all I ask before we turn our attention to the main event slated to happen later tonight."
