JWA Presents...
SUPER GLORY
SUPER GLORY
(An intro video featuring highlights of all of the confrontations and incidents between Domination, Inc. and The Pirates OF DOOM, Thumper Moore III, and Duke Mongoose airs. We also see quick snippets of the secret admirer turned betrayal scenario featuring Lord Taylor Thorin, Lady Diana Gallus, Artemis and Reuben P. Thimbleberry. The video package ends on a scene of Pierre The Enormous alongside Troglo, Jax, and Huggy Bear which is overlaid by an image of Bayou Burl as "The Fright" before it cuts to a shot of the inside of the arena)
Mick LeRay: Hello, wrestling fans! We are coming to you live and a direct for JWA Super Glory! I'm Mick LeRay, joined as always by "Savvy" Sean Beeman.
Sean Beeman: The pleasure is all yours, as always.
LeRay: We've put together one heck of a card for you this evening, so let's get right into it. It started out as a mystery - who is the secret admirer of Lord Taylor Thorin? Then things got more twisted and complicated once it was revealed that Lady Diana Gallus was the admirer, but there was someone trying to spoil her plans. It led to the return of "The Huntress" Artemis who claims she was locked away against her will, and the betrayal of his Lordship by the man once known affectionately as Tembleberry. It's a mixed tag team match pitting Lord Taylor Thorin & Lady Diana Gallus against Artemis & Reuben P Thimbleberry.
Beeman: It's crazy to think how important a name can be to someone, but that's what it all boils down to in the end. Artemis believes Lady Diana stole her name and locked her away, and Thimbleberry believes that his Lordship has been calling him by the wrong name as some sort of slight all these years. You know me, Mick, normally I'd be on the side of his Lordship, but I think we're going to be surprised by what Artemis & Thimbleberry can do here tonight.
LeRay: The seasons are changing, and Spooky Season is nearly upon us. What better way to kick that off than with the in-ring return of The Manhattan Mauler, now known as Bayou Burl? But it won't be Burl competing, it'll be his "friend", "The Fright". We've only seen small glimpses of The Fright to this point. Pierre The Enormous accepted the challenge to face Burl here tonight, but will he regret that decision?
Beeman: Pierre really drew the short straw. You never want to be the first guy to face someone new. There's always too many things you can't plan for. I know Burl used to be The Manhattan Mauler here in JWA, but this is a different man than the guy who left years ago. And "The Fright"? That's a different beast entirely!
LeRay: Don't forget that next week Pierre has an Openweight Championship match against Penguino.
Beeman: If Pierre survives, that is.
LeRay: She's back from Hollywood and she's ruffled the feathers of the man once known as "Hollywood" here in JWA - Winter Hex defends the JWA World Heavyweight Championship against Duke Mongoose! Winter will likely have members of Domination, Inc. at ringside, and we know she's not afraid to get an assist or two should the opportunity present itself. Mongoose is a wily veteran, though, and his unique mind for this business could prove troublesome to our champion.
Beeman: Listen, Big Daddy Duke may not be the most popular guy around here, but you can't argue that when put up against Domination, Inc. Duke might be one of the best we've got. But I'll agree with you, Mick, he's going to have to overcome not only Winter but the entirety of Domination, Inc. if he wants to walk out of here with the belt, and I don't know if he can pull it off.
LeRay: Then, in our main event, things have gotten so heated that Kip Whistler has decreed that this issue MUST be settled - it's a Texas Death Match for the JWA World Tag Team Championship! The Alpha & Omega defend their title against The Pirates OF DOOM.
Beeman: This is going to be Armageddon. Texas Death is basically a mix of Falls Count Anywhere and Last Man Standing. This thing could go on all night and I get the sneaking suspicion that you might have to actually kill one of these four guys to win. Luckily we all know that DOOM's fear of cheese could probably kill him, push come to shove.
LeRay: Whatever miracle medicine Dr. Zamboni has been giving to Conor Caine, he had better prescribe some for Omega Satyros as well, because Red Pirate Rogers and DOOM aren't going to go down without a fight. The TLC match from a few weeks back was proof!
Beeman: I don't care how crazy Red and DOOM want to get, there's no way they're going to walk out of here as Tag Champions. There's a chance they may not walk out at all!
LeRay: It's almost time to start the show, but I wanted to remind everyone of a special programming note - this Friday, September 13th, it's the long anticipated return of Slashmaster! He'll be facing the man he was supposed to face a while back, coming out of retirement for one night only - Arizona Chance! That's right, it's Chance vs. Slash on Friday the 13th! Don't you dare miss it. And on that note, let's send it down to our ring announcer to get the show underway!
(The polls will be open for at least 24 hours. It doesn't matter who you vote for, just that you participate!)
