("Fatal Charm" by Billy Idol plays and the fans begin to boo as Duke Mongoose makes his way through the curtain. He is dressed head to toe in a metallic gold version of his usual wrestling attire, complete with the World Heavyweight Championship belt around his waist)
LeRay: Here comes our champion, making his first J-1 appearance this year, and he's got quite the mountain to climb.
Beeman: Normally this is where I'd play contrarian and tell you that Slashmaster is no match for Big Daddy Duke, but even I know better than that. I hope Duke has all of his affairs in order.
LeRay: Indeed. I think the only person delusional enough to think that Duke is going to beat Slashmaster is Duke himself.
(Duke climbs through the ropes and poses. Suddenly, the lights go out and the haunting notes of Slashmaster's theme begin to play)

(The music continues to play and Duke marches around the ring, constantly on guard)
Beeman: I know Slashmaster is a master of mind games, but he's certainly keeping Duke waiting.
LeRay: He's definitely trying to get into head of our World Champion.
Beeman: Or maybe he's scared to face Duke...
LeRay: I'm going to pretend you didn't say that.

Slashmaster's eerie, ominous theme echoes through the arena. A dim, ghostly red light fills the stage, illuminating a thick fog as Slashmaster appears, a shadowy figure emerging from the darkness. He stands at the top of the ramp, staring down at Duke Mongoose with cold, unblinking malice.
LERAY: There he is, folks. The one and only Slashmaster, the unyielding force that dominates Friday the 13th and now has his sights set on the J-1. Duke Mongoose has faced many opponents, but I don’t know if he’s ever faced anything quite like this.
BEEMAN: Look at him, LeRay—Slashmaster looks like he’s walking straight out of your nightmares! If I were Duke, I’d be regretting every single cocky promo I’d ever cut.
Duke Mongoose’s swagger has faded into a strained facade of confidence as he stands in the ring, shifting his weight nervously. Slashmaster steps over the ropes, entering the ring, his cold eyes locked onto Duke’s. The bell rings, and the match begins. Duke hesitates for a split second before charging forward, swinging wildly with a forearm aimed at Slashmaster’s face. Slashmaster catches Duke's arm mid-swing, wrenching it backward with eerie ease. Duke grimaces in pain, immediately regretting his bold approach.
LERAY: A rookie mistake by Duke, trying to overpower a man like Slashmaster. That grip is vice-like!
BEEMAN: Duke’s realizing real quick that Slashmaster isn’t someone you can just intimidate or rush! If he wants a chance here, he’ll need to use that slimy wit of his.
With Duke’s arm locked in his powerful grasp, Slashmaster twists it further, pulling Duke into a brutal short-arm clothesline that nearly flips him over on impact. Duke hits the mat hard, clutching his neck as he rolls away, trying to create distance. Slashmaster doesn’t give him the luxury of recovery time. He steps forward methodically, reaching down to grab Duke by his hair and drag him to his feet. Duke struggles, flailing his arms in desperation, but Slashmaster’s iron grip is unbreakable.
LERAY: Duke’s in trouble already! Slashmaster’s got him where he wants him, and this crowd knows it!
BEEMAN: Can you hear that LeRay? It seems like the champ is actually begging for mercy. He's even throwing up a peace sign!
As the referee confers with the timekeeper on wether this counts as a forfeit, the World Champion jams his two fingers through the holes in his opponent's mask, right into their eyes. Slashmaster screams in agony and releases his hold on the champion. As the big man stumbles around, temporarily blinded, the champion takes a moment to recover before attacking Slashmaster from behind.

LeRay: A jumping knee to the back sends Slashmaster into the corner, chest first! I'm not sure if it's possible, but it looks like that might have knocked the wind out of him.
Beeman: Look at Big Daddy Duke, he's clearly got something planned.
(Duke sees Slashmaster staggering backward and he drops to all fours behind the big man, causing Slashmaster to fall backwards over him)
LeRay: A schoolyard trick by Mongoose puts Slashmaster down, and Duke is already looking to capitalize as he ascends to the second rope!
Beeman: The most dangerous rope.
LeRay: Falling Reverse Elbow Smash by Mongoose connects! Cover by Duke - OH MY! Not even a one count as Slashmaster presses Duke off of him with ease!
Beeman: Perhaps discretion is the better part of valor. RUN, DUKE!

Duke’s eyes widen in horror as Slashmaster slowly turns his head toward him, his gaze conveying pure, unbridled fury. Duke scrambles backward, nearly tripping over his own feet as he tries to get away, but Slashmaster is relentless, stalking forward with a grim purpose.
LERAY: Slashmaster seems to have regainedd his sight. And now he’s zeroed in on Duke Mongoose, who might be realizing he’s in deeper than he thought!
Duke tries to roll out of the ring, but Slashmaster catches him by the ankle, pulling him back into the center of the ring. Duke kicks wildly, managing to wrench himself free just enough to get to his feet. Desperate, he goes for a wild haymaker, but Slashmaster catches his fist mid-swing, twisting his arm until Duke is on his knees, grimacing in pain. With Duke still on his knees, Slashmaster slowly raises his free hand, his gloved fingers tightening into a claw. He places it over Duke’s face, sending Duke into a frantic struggle as he tries to pry himself free.
LERAY: That iron claw! Slashmaster is squeezing the very fight out of our champion!
BEEMAN: Duke might not survive this, LeRay! I’m not even sure I want to watch!
Duke’s struggles weaken, his limbs flailing as the oxygen drains from him. But in a desperate surge, Duke kicks his legs up, managing to hook them around Slashmaster’s neck and snap him backward with a haphazard but effective modified headscissors takedown! Slashmaster is forced to release the claw, and Duke scrambles to the ropes, gasping for air.
LERAY: Incredible reversal by Mongoose! Say what you will about the man’s bravado, he’s a survivor!
Slashmaster sits up, as Duke uses the ropes to haul himself up, still clutching his throat. Duke’s eyes dart around as he formulates a plan, his confidence rattled but not entirely broken. With a sudden roar, Duke charges back at Slashmaster, aiming for a knee strike—but Slashmaster rises in one swift motion and catches him with a brutal, lifting spinebuster that echoes throughout the arena.

Duke Mongoose lies sprawled on the mat, looking worn but determined as he struggles to his feet, refusing to stay down despite the brutal offense from Slashmaster. Slashmaster watches Duke’s tenacity with a slight tilt of his head, almost as if he’s confused by the champion’s resilience. He grabs Duke by the head, pulling him up and looking him dead in the eye, but Duke defiantly shoves Slashmaster’s hand away and throws a wild punch.
LERAY: Duke still has some fight left! Look at the heart of our champion!
BEEMAN: Heart won’t save him if he can’t get some offense in fast!
Duke lands a few strikes, enough to stagger Slashmaster momentarily, and he rushes to the ropes to gain momentum. But as he rebounds, Slashmaster catches him and, in a swift, fluid motion, hoists him up and plants him with a devastating Hatchet in the center of the ring.
LERAY: Hatchet! Slashmaster has put Duke down hard! But you have to give it to Duke; he didn’t go down easy!
BEEMAN: The champ gave it his best, but I don’t think anyone could withstand that monster tonight.
Slashmaster places a single, firm hand on Duke’s chest for the pin.
One... Two...
Duke manages to get one of his shoulders of the mat before the referee's hand hits the canvas for the third time. Slashmaster seems annoyed, almost offended that his opponent dared to kick out off his finishing move. The champion tries to fight back as his opponent hoists him up again, but cannot avoid going down for a second Hatchet. Taking no chances this time, Slashmaster goes for a proper cover.
One... Two... Three!
The bell rings, and Slashmaster rises, victorious. Duke rolls over, clutching his neck and looking up at Slashmaster, still defiant despite his defeat. Slashmaster, his face shadowed under his mask, leans down and speaks in a low, chilling tone that the cameras barely pick up.
SLASHMASTER: You fought well, champion. But next time…that title will be mine.
Duke stares back, his eyes steely, as if already accepting the challenge. Slashmaster rises, giving Duke one last, lingering look before turning and exiting the ring. The crowd roars, sensing that a rematch between these two is inevitable.
