Week one is in the books and we're moving on to week two. Some stars have already made a statement with a victory in the first round, while others will be looking to start making up lost ground. After this week, every competitor will have competed in at least one match, so it's a fair race for all going forward. Let's take a look at what's on the card tonight:
Block A
Conor Caine (2) vs. Omega Satyros (1)
It's a rematch from Guts & Gory and the continuation of the destruction of Domination, Inc. Conor Caine was victorious over the King of Games last week in something of a non-match, whereas Omega was in something of a non-match himself against former stablemate Mack Caliber that ended in a time limit draw. Both men will be looking to get a crucial victory this week and stake a claim for the top of the group. This is definitely one to watch, given the personal issues between these two men. Will we see a repeat of Guts & Gory where Caine stood tall after one of the most brutal matches we've ever witnessed that wasn't a stipulation match? Or will Omega stand tall on his own and take down his former leader?
Duke Mongoose (0) vs. Slashmaster (2)
Our World Heavyweight Champion had last week off and he's in for a rude awakening to start off his tournament this year. Slashmaster picked up a big victory over Thumper Moore III last week in his return to regular competition, and has to be the odds on favorite to win the entire group. That's saying something, considering the talent he's up against. Can Duke slay the beast or will Slashmaster claim another soul and another two points to go to the top of the group?
Thumper Moore III (0) vs. King of Games (0)
Hopefully Thumper has had adequate time to recover from his defeat last week at the hands of Slashmaster, and hopefully King of Games will show up this week prepared for a tournament match. While Moore was facing an unstoppable juggernaut, King spent last week berating the legends of our industry for not answering his challenge and refusing to square off with his opponent Conor Caine. All things considered, Moore might want to take the easy victory should King decide to pull a similar stunt again this week. Both of these men need a win here tonight to get their tournament back on track.
Block B
Artemis (0) vs. Bayou Burl (0)
Another match tonight where both competitors need points to get their tournaments going, Artemis is looking to make a comeback after a devastating loss to Pierre and Burl is looking to put his loss last week to Red behind him. We still don't truly know what to expect out of these two, with Queen Amana following Artemis everywhere she goes, and Burl's alter ego The Fright lurking in every darkened corner. Who will come out on top tonight?
Chad Shredsbury (1) vs. Penguino (0)
Penguino's first match in this year's tournament is against a familiar foe in Chad Shredsbury, something of a rematch from last year's Penguin Kai Karate Fight. Chad fought to an unfortunate draw with DOOM last week so he'll be looking to get a win this week and move to the top of the group. Penguino came up short against Duke Mongoose at Guts & Gory and will definitely want to get back on the winning track here tonight.
Red Pirate Rogers (2) vs. Pierre The Enormous (2)
It's a match for the top of the group as current Openweight Champion Pierre takes on perennial contender Red Pirate Rogers. Both men have a history with this event and are hoping that this year will be their year. In order to do so, they'll have to get a victory over the other. This truly is a "pick 'em" as they say between these two veteran fan favorites. Rogers defeated the mischievous Bayou Burl last week and Pierre dominated "The Huntress" Artemis, but who will be victorious this week?
Off: Mack Caliber (1) & The Greatest Wrestler OF DOOM (1)
