The lights in the arena dim, and a hush falls over the crowd as ominous tones signal the arrival of Slashmaster. A red spotlight illuminates the entranceway, revealing the towering figure of Slashmaster emerging from the darkness.
LERAY: And here he comes—the harbinger of nightmares, the undefeated Slashmaster!
BEEMAN: I’ve got chills, LeRay. If Conor Caine will have to be more relentless than ever or else he is stepping into a death trap tonight.
Slashmaster pauses at the top of the ramp, turning his head slowly to survey the crowd. He raises his machete high in the air, and flames shoot up from the stage in a terrifying display. The audience roars, some in fear, others in awe, as Slashmaster begins his slow, methodical march toward the ring. Slashmaster steps over the top rope, his cold, unblinking mask fixed on Conor Caine. He discards his machete and stares a hole through his opponent. The referee quickly checks both competitors and signals for the bell.)
LERAY: The bell has rung, and here we go! This is a clash between two powerhouses, which won't end until one of them demolishes the other.
BEEMAN: This is going to be brutal. Conor Caine better hope he brought more than just charisma to this fight.
Conor wastes no time, charging at Slashmaster and unloading a flurry of punches to his opponent’s midsection. The crowd cheers as Caine backs Slashmaster into the ropes, but Slashmaster fights back. With a sudden surge of strength, Slashmaster shoves Caine halfway across the ring, sending him sprawling to the mat.
LERAY: What power from Slashmaster! Conor Caine came out swinging, but Slashmaster won't go down easily.
BEEMAN: Caine's punches look like they could topple a mountain, but he could not bring down Slashmaster.
Caine quickly gets to his feet, adjusting his strategy. He circles Slashmaster, feinting a few punches to test the big man’s reflexes. Slashmaster lunges forward with a massive swing, but Caine ducks under it and counters with a chop block to the back of Slashmaster’s knee.
LERAY: Smart strategy by Conor Caine! If you want to take down a monster, you chop him down to size.
Slashmaster staggers slightly, but as Caine attempts a second chop block, Slashmaster spins around and catches him with a massive boot to the chest, sending Caine crashing into the corner.
BEEMAN: Did you see that?! Conor just got launched like a crash test dummy!
(Slashmaster advances, grabbing Caine by the throat and hoisting him into the air. He walks toward the center of the ring and tries to slam Caine down, but Conor manages to break the hold.
BEEMAN: That was a mistake, LeRay! He should’ve taken the easy way out. Escaping that slam has only made Slashmaster angry.
LERAY: Conor Caine isn’t called “Relentless” for nothing, but he’s got to find a way to mount some serious offense against the monster.
As Caine rolls out of the ring to regroup, Slashmaster steps over the ropes to follow him, but accidentally kicks the referee down. The crowd erupts as Caine sees his chance, grabs a chair from the timekeeper’s area and swings it at Slashmaster. Slashmaster catches the chair mid-swing, staring menacingly at Caine before crushing it in his hands and tossing it aside.
LERAY: Oh my goodness! Slashmaster just destroyed that chair like it was made of paper!
BEEMAN: You can’t fight the boogeyman with furniture, LeRay!

LERAY: Caine is backing around ringside as Slashmaster slowly advances: he's in no rush to engage! BEEMAN: He already is engaged, Mick! He's in Caine's head!
Conor backs into the side of the ringsteps. The audience gasps in unison as Caine finds himself cornered and Slashmaster closes the distance. He swings and Conor ducks...
LERAY: Slashmaster punched the corner post so hard it chipped paint, but he didn't even flinch!
Still trapped, Conor evades an overhand punch from Slashmaster: the monster punches the ringsteps hard enough to dent them but again doesn't flinch. Conor's out of the corner now and his shock at Slashmaster's invulnerability changes to an idea.
LERAY: Conor seems to be goading Slashmaster as he backs up! He's ducking Slashmaster's haymakers and countering with punches of his own! BEEMAN: He's only making it mad! LERAY: If his punches didn't do that, his trashtalk would!
Conor talks smack at Slashmaster as he backs up, but he slips and falls on his ass, where he promptly scrambles backwards until he bumps into the barricade at the timekeepers area.
LERAY: Cornered again, and here comes Slashmaster!
Slashmaster goes to stomp Caine's head through the barrier but Conor rolls aside and Slashmaster's foot goes right through - the audience is awed by the show of strength.
LERAY: He's stuck! Slashmaster's leg is stuck! It was a trap set by Conor!
Conor's looking under the ring for another chair but then sees the dent Slashmaster put in the ringsteps. He knows what he's up against: he drops the chair and rips the top section of ringsteps up as the fans cheer.
LERAY: Conor charges Slashmaster with the ringsteps and crushes him against the barrier! What an impact! He brings the steps down on the prone beast! Twice! And a third time! Slasmaster's not moving!
Spent, Conor slides onto the ring to wake the ref for a ten count on Slashmaster...

LERAY: The referee begins the count as Conor Caine leans against the ropes, catching his breath. Can this be it? Has Conor actually found a way to neutralize the monster?
BEEMAN: I can’t believe it! Slashmaster isn’t moving! This might be the smartest thing Conor’s done in his entire career.
The referee reaches the count of 4 as the crowd roars. Slashmaster still lies motionless amidst the wreckage of the steel steps and barricade.
LERAY: 5… 6… This could be the biggest upset in this tournament. Slashmaster's undefeated could end right here and now!
BEEMAN: Don’t count your chickens, LeRay. This guy isn’t human!
At the count of 7, Slashmaster's fingers twitch. By 8, his hand rises, and the crowd gasps as he sits up in classic horror movie fashion. The referee halts the count as Slashmaster grabs the steel steps and tosses them aside like they weigh nothing.
LERAY: Oh no! Slashmaster is back on his feet, and he looks angrier than ever!
BEEMAN: I told you, Mick! You can’t kill what doesn’t live!
Conor's face shifts from triumph to disbelief as Slashmaster steps through the wreckage and climbs back into the ring. Conor immediately charges with a flying forearm, but Slashmaster absorbs the blow and doesn’t budge. He grabs Conor by the throat and lifts him high into the air.
LERAY: Choke slam incoming—no! Conor with a desperation counter! He drives an elbow into Slashmaster’s temple and lands on his feet!
Conor follows up with a kick to the knee and then a DDT, spiking Slashmaster’s head into the mat. The crowd erupts as he goes for the pin.
LERAY: Cover! 1… 2… NO! Slashmaster powers out with authority!
BEEMAN: Conor’s throwing everything he has at this guy, and it’s still not enough!
Slashmaster rises to his feet, seemingly unfazed. Conor tries to capitalize with a running clothesline, but Slashmaster catches him mid-air and delivers a thunderous Spinebuster that shakes the entire ring.
LERAY: What a counter! Conor Caine is down, and Slashmaster looks ready to end this once and for all!

Slashmaster pulls Conor to his feet and signals for the Hatchet. He hoists him high into the air, pauses for dramatic effect, and then drives him down into the mat with devastating force.
LERAY: Hatchet! Slashmaster with the cover! 1… 2… 3! It’s over!
BEEMAN: Conor fought valiantly, but the boogeyman of JWA claims another victim!
Slashmaster rises, his eerie calm restored. He looks down at the fallen Conor Caine and then turns his attention to the camera, addressing his next opponent.
SLASHMASTER: Omega Satyros… You saw what happened to your former partner. Next week, you will not draw… You will fall. And then, this tournament… and the championship… will belong to me.
The lights flicker ominously as Slashmaster exits the ring, leaving Conor Caine motionless and the crowd buzzing.

LERAY: Conor’s getting up as Slashmaster stalks him, setting him up for a chokeslam!
Conor gets up and turns only to be grabbed by the neck.
BEEMAN: Caine got hoisted up like he weighed nothing at all!
Held up by Slashmaster, Conor kicks his legs, wrapping one over Slashmasters shoulder and the other behind his lifting arm…
LERAY: Triangle choke! In the air! BEEMAN: Both these guys are choking each other out!
Caine’s eyes are bulging out of his head, Slashmaster is choking him so much, but the more he pulls back, the more Slashmaster has to lean to maintain centre of gravity. Eventually Caine has Slashmaster doubled over, stretching his arm to the point Slashmaster can’t maintain as firm a grip.
LERAY: Conor’s escaped the chikehold, but he has Slashmaster locked in that triangle still! Is Slashmaster fading?!
Conor’s torquing back with all this might and Slash goes down to one knee, he looks weary.
LERAY: The ref checks on Slashmaster. He raises the arm once and it falls! Twice! It falls! These fans are are going crazy!
On the third arm raise, Slashmaster’s hand almost drops to his side, but stops dead just before the bottom. The fans scream in excited horror, Conor’s shock is unmistakeable.
LERAY: Was Conor Caine close to doing the impossible, or was Slashmaster playing possum the whole time?? The fiend is back to life!
Slashmaster gets his footing and stands back up, hoisting Conor up like he was nothing; Conor is pulling on the chokehold with all his might but it’s having no effect now!
LERAY: Slashmaster swings Conor into the turnbuckles like a wrecking ball, but Conor holds on! Another smash into the corner! Slashmaster turns… he raises Conor up - my god, the strength of this… this thing! One armed powerbomb! Conor is hurt! Slashmaster covers!
A collective intake of breath as the ref hits the mat once, twice, and on a hair’s breadth of three, Conor kicks out. The studio erupts in cheers.
LERAY: He’s still in it! It took all he had to get a shoulder up, but Caine is still fighting! He shoves Slashmaster off him!
Conor rolls aside and gets up, clutching his back - he moves towards a corner. As Slashmaster advances, Conor hops backwards on to the middle rope and rebounds with a shoulder block. It staggers Slashmaster. Caine hits the ropes and gets Slashmaster with another, staggering him more. Every time Conor strikes the beast, the shockwaves from the impact seize his back up more.
LERAY: Conor hits the ropes and performs a spear on Slashmaster, but it’s like a muscle car hitting a telegraph pole! The pole is bend, but the car is totalled!
All this offence has Slashmaster finally doubled over. Conor is in agony but he gets to his feet: from this position, Slashmaster is bent enough that Conor can hook an arm.
LERAY: Raising Cai— no! Conor’s back has given in! He can’t lift Slashmaster!
Caine staggers, clutching his back, as Slashmaster slowly rises to standing: he raises up tall as ever, his eyes fixed on Conor.
