I’m still on my first play through. I’m just noticing that most of the wrestlers I buy in the shop are for the 90s.

That happens to be RNG talking. The shop takes 5 cards you don't own and puts them in the shop. Maybe more of the 90s wrestlers are appearing in your shop due to RNG. However, I can guarantee that there are less wrestlers for the 90s than there are for the 80s (or in some cases, both the 80s and 90s).
