Hi there! I was just writing this for me but thought you might want to check it out and maybe add something to these rules I made to book the shows. I created these rules to stop the chaos my fed was in, with a lot of title reigns and not much sense haha.
First of all, a few considerations:
1) This rules are meant to be used by experienced players who have enough (and maxed) wrestlers to choose title contenders freely, so the booking does not get forced by the need to max a wrestler or by a short roster.
2) The ladies title and contendership is used freely as it’s hard to pick contenders without special matches.
3) New features (battle royals and tournaments) are not taken into account. Survivor of the fittest (november PPV) matches are not taken into account either.
Let's go!
BASIC RULES:
1) Title reigns are meant to last. These rules are meant to ensure long (5-15 average) title defenses, although logically sometimes it will last more or less defenses.
2) There are no title rematches for draws or losing the title.
3) Tag team matches can only be wrestled by tag teams with card and cannot use managers or buffs (unless facing +30 defenses title holders, then take them down with anything you have! lol).
4) There are no rules regarding venues, sponsors or merch
TITLE RULES:
1) The order from most prestigious title to less is: World title – Tag team title- Tv title- CW title.
2) WORLD TITLE can be won by legendary wrestlers, main eventers and upper midcarders.
3) TAG TEAM TITLE has no status limit, other than it having to be an actual tag team (card).
4) TV TITLE can be won by upper and midcard.
5) CW TITLE can be won by midcard or less.
AWARD RULES:
*Best W/L balance is determined by the % of matches won (matches won x 100 / total matches). Minimum of 10 matches wrestled a year. I think that’s about a 20% of the matches one wrestler can have during a full year without any injuries (48shows=48 total matches).
**To give these awards more meaning, if a wrestler gets awarded the same award three or more times, it gains legendary status. This is to award workhorses like Chet Skye (one of the best opener wrestlers in my fed) and enable them to challenge for the world and TV title any time.
WRESTLER OF THE YEAR:
1)Wrestler gets a title shot at next PPV
2) To differ from the most popular or hated (although it can be won by the same wrestler)wrestler award, this award goes to the workhorse of the fed. Ideally, tracking match quality and awarding the wrestler with best match quality would be awesome. However it can get tough to do that, but you can track (at the W/L section) the wrestler who has wrestled the most matches, so I award him (it can’t be a lady due to lack of women matches) with the award and title shot.
3) In case of draw between two or more wrestlers with the same amount of matches wrestled, award the wrestler who has won more matches. In case of draw I would award the wrestler who has won a more prestigious title that year (counting defenses first and number of reigns after).
BEST TAG TEAM:
1)Team gets a title match at next PPV
2) Award goes to most title defenses within that year
3) In case of draw, it goes to the team with the more popular or hated wrestler on it (best W/L balance, prestigious title, title defenses, title reigns)
POPULAR/HATED WRESTLER:
1)Wrestler gets a #1 contender for a title shot against most POPULAR/HATED wrestler
2)The award goes to face, tweener (can be both popular or hated) or heel wrestler with best W/L balance (minimum 10 matches)
SPECIAL STATUS:
Wrestlers can earn a special status (meaning they can challenge for any title) if:
1)A wrestler currently holds the record for most title defenses (not reigns) of any title.
2)A wrestler earns 3 or more times the same award.
SPECIAL MATCHES:
Gimmick matches can be used only in a feud. A feud (not tag teams) happens if:
1)There’s a feud card
2)Between tag teammates (if the wrestle each other, cannot wrestle as a tag team for that year)
3)between wrestlers that won most popular and hated at the same year
4)Between wrestlers that have cost each other a title reign.
Example: Arizona Chance won the TV title from Chet Skye and Chet Skye won the CW title from Arizona Chance. Therefore they are a feud (even if they are both faces)and earn a special match (if booking wants to) whenever they interact for any title.
ADDITIONAL RULES:
1)To ensure long title reigns, wrestlers get manager/push for the first 5 title defenses.
2)Any debutant must debut with a promo
3)If a debutant gets a +3 star promo, earns a title shot. If not, debutant must get a win first.
4)When using a wrestler version, you can’t use the other version unless a year change, return from injury or losing a title (to act as some sort of cataclysm to justify that character/alignment change)
5)Non-PPV title matches should be wrestled by the lowest status possible wrestler and PPV title matches by the highest. For example, if you have a main eventer and an upper midcarder that can challenge for the world title, I would book the upper midcard wrestler to challenge at a TV show and the main eventer to do it at the PPV.
6)A challenger should not be able to challenge the same champion twice, unless that champion has wrestled every other possible challenger first.
