Hey guys, as a guy that has picked this game up for the first time in a few years I'm just wondering how important you all think it is to buy legendary cards. I seem to be stuck in the store with only legendary, manager, and the special cards (push, sneak attacks) showing up. I haven't bought a legendary card yet due to the price but I splurged and bought 5 tokens and Common Man keeps showing up.
What do you all think, is it worth buying or should I wait?

Pros: - Their merch card will give you $200 - Most of them have great stats - Most have several feuds and get that extra star bonus
Cons: - Expensive - Merch cards can be hard to unlock with such high stats - Their feuds may require other Legendary cards - Their high push can mean they’ll rule your promotion if you don’t have guys with a similar push
Overall, I think it is worth it Is worth it, especially if you don’t mind paying a little real world cash for tokens as you have done. I’d really only dissuade those who are playing for free to hold off on buying them. Obviously, they’re not all created equal so you need to consider on a case by case basis which ones you should buy. There are Main Eventers who actually have better stats than some Legendary ones, so make sure you pick those ones up if you haven’t already.

I can fix you right up with a Legendary Tier List. This takes into account the in game years, Total Draw, feuds, tag teams, and of course, their individual stats. So, I'm ready to get this started.
A Tier Ace of Spades (Highest Total Draw of any wrestler in the game, available for 10 years, and some solid feuds against high level guys.) The Hunk (Second highest Total Draw, available for 10 years, and is part of a feud (with Ace of Spades) and a Tag Team (in Troglo 90s) Skill is better than Ace.) Dude Brohan 80s (61 Total Draw, available for 10 years, has one of the highest Push Ratings in the game, and is in a plethora of Tag Teams and Feuds throughout his life span.)
B Tier High Flyin Kid '91 (62 Total Draw, available for 9 years, well rounded stats, and in some good quality feuds and a Tag Team with Big Rig (Tweener).) Undermaster '90 (60 Total Draw, great Pop rating and Push rating, good Skill, available for 10 years, and has a lot of feuds to help keep him busy.) BuZZsaW (Total Draw of 56, high Pop Rating, and he has a lot of feuds to help keep him busy for the ten years he's around. He's also in a trio as well.)
C Tier Valedictorian '85 (Highest Total Draw of any 80s wrestler at 62 with some of the best all around stats, but only available for 5 years and has only 1 tag team and 2 feuds.) Average Guy '80 (Total Draw of 60, nice well rounded stats, but only has one feud against "Bad" Jet Set Strutter and his run ends after 1988.) Jet Set Strutter "Good" (Total Draw of 59, great Skill and Mic rating, available for 10 years, but no feuds or tag teams to speak of.)
D Tier Blockbuster Brohan (Total Draw of 58 with a great Mic and Pop stat, but low skill, only available for 5 years (which you can't get to via New Game+) and only part of a trio and one feud.) Mercenary (Lowest Total Draw of any Legendary, has 17 skill max, and a lot of feuds to put on quality matches constantly. Available for 10 years.)
F Tier Mr. Fantasy (Total Draw of 53, Skill is low, and only has one feud in the entire game, and that's against Ace of Spades. Available for 10 years though.) Enormous Pierre (Second lowest Total Draw of any Legendary, only average stats outside of Push, and no feuds or tag teams, even with a 10 year lifespan.)
"Phew" That was some work. Hope this helps, somewhat.

As you can see it's quality over quantity with a little bit of chemistry
Quality are stats Quantity is the price Chemistry are the feuds and tags

well the other posters gave you the all the details which helps but it's really more about what you're trying to do with the game. Are you just messing around? Are you trying to get certain ones? Are you trying to get them all? And if you are trying to get most of them, how patient are you willing to be or how much can you afford to invest in the game?
Me, I wanted to get all the basic wrestler cards, don't care about foils......that way I could kind of relive the WWF of the 80s and book a match between Skeletor and Mr. T or whoever. If you don't want to invest real money into buying tokens that means grinding out weeks, months and years of shows to earn money and get an annual token as well as unlock sponsors and venues.
First off, you'll need to play through a few years to get the bigger venues. Silver Stadium is almost a guaranteed $10,000 or more show with decent wrestlers on the card. Obviously the higher the draw the better the crowd which equals more money. That's where having Legendary wrestlers is going to come into play.
But the thing about Legendary wrestlers is that they are considered rare and may not show up for months if you arent buying cards frequently. I've been playing this version for 45 days and just today saw the last 3 wrestlers I needed all for the first time. And that might seem quick and maybe it is but I also bought every other wrestler, manager and most matches, skits, mic spots, etc not to mention refreshed the store more times than I care to admit.
So I'd say if I hadnt refreshed and just waited for the store to update you could have added another month. Another kicker is once you've gotten all the normal cards it's common for them to flood the store with foil versions. And they're always low level. So my advice is grab the rare cards when they pop up. Either keep grinding until you have the money to drop on a main eventer or legendary (between 100 and 200 thousand) or have a few tokens saved up to cash in. Or option B is to be able to buy tokens when the right cards pop up.
But like I said it's just really about how you want to play it.

If Ace of Spades had more Tag Teams and Feuds, I'd definitely consider him an S-Tier Legendary, for reference. But as of now, he is still the best legendary in the game.

As for feuds, I'd be feuding with every wrestler in the game, except the makers of the game didn't want there to be too many AoS cards. Makes other legendaries look bad.
