Anyone else having trouble using tag team partners as managers for titleholders in main event title matches? Like, I’ve got Chet Skye as Cruiser champ, and if that title match is in the main event slot, he can’t have Jessie Wild (who has no title, so he’s not scheduled in another match) as his manager. In other slots, it’s not a problem. Same with Flawless One as World champ, he can’t have Valedictorian in his corner for the match.

In this case I think the game is making absolutely sure that when Skye gets his singles push, Wild is left out, only to aimlessly wander the independent scene for a decade before hanging it up. Meanwhile, Skye will have a legendary career into the 2010’s, and will even come out of retirement for “one more match” in Saudi Arabia since the price was high enough.

I hate you with the fire of a million suns, but damn, that was the best post you've ever made.

The challenger can have their tag partner (no restrictions... so Lyndi Harker can be cornered by Hulk Hogan when challenging for the women's title), but the champ can't (so for instance, I can't have Mr. Tycoon, TV Title Holder, cornered by one of his lackeys).
