I have the same issue I always opt for the alternate P4V but I’m thinking to use it as a King of the Ring style tournament. Maybe giving the winner a chance to cash in a title shot within a 1 year period? A mix between King of the Ring and Money in the Bank if you will.

Oh, that's the great idea. Yeah, I think you could make March Madness one of the top trophies of the year. I know that's what I'll eventually do.

I hold qualifier matches, usually starting at the February P4V. The previous year's winner also gets offered a guaranteed spot. I do wish that the Battle Royal and tournament were further apart, though.

I have an internal unofficial ranking system based on position on the card, W/L, and quality of matches. Basically the same way I select wrestler of the year. That’s how guys like Ezekiel made it into my tourney in 1990, while Dude Brohan 90’s got left out.

I always use my upper midcard and main eventers and the winner gets a title shot.

I tend to use this P4V the same way i use the TTI P4V. I see these P4V's as a chance to let my lesser wrestlers star. Lifeguard Chip won my last one.

I take my best 8 guys who have never won the world title. Winner gets a shot at the world title. It’s normally all my upper midcarders who’ve never won the title and any mid carders or openers who are doing well that year.
Keith Blood is the first person in six years to win the tournament and go on to win the title.

That's an AWESOME story. Atta boy, Keith Blood! Update, Keith Blood went on to win the cruiserweight and world title simultaneously, and held both going into 1990. In my storyline, Big Boss Jr left Dr. B to manage Keith Blood (as they were in a tag team called “Bad Blood” the year before). On the last show of 1989, Blood “kills” Big Boss Jr, which causes the brand to be bought and become 90s Extreme Wrestling. Blood refuses to relinquish the titles and go to the mental hospital for his murder of Big Boss Jr (who returns as Mort and costs Blood the world title against Dr. B in 1990). Blood will return though...

I generally fill out the bracket with feud cards and let fate take care of the rest...

In my “story” in my head (not had much time for writing lately) I usually go for the guys vying for the world championship
