I have come to the point where I have 70 active wrestlers. You would think to more wrestlers the fun but It is not the case since I want all my wrestlers to get decent story lines and "screen time". How do you get on with this problem

This is where the Favorites feature has been a godsend to me. In all three versions of 8MW, I've always started fresh because I like that feeling of suddenly having a new wrestler show up in my promotion. So, I use the Favorite hearts to comprise my active roster. I'm actually going to be publishing a "ruleset" for playing in this fashion, but right now my work on the Wiki takes precedence.
If you have 70 active wrestlers, try cutting it down to a roster of 50. Favorite those 50 cards. Make sure you have enough of what the game requires you to have - women, openers, and midcarders. If you feel you need more than the 50, bring in a new wrestler or two after a while. If that 50 ends up being your sweet spot, have wrestlers "leave" (unfavorite them) and bring in someone to replace them. That's good if you've maxed out a wrestler you aren't particularly interested in using and swapping them for someone whose merch cards you need to work towards. It's been working pretty well for me.

I've pretty much split my roster in half. All your lower wrestlers are in 'development' and only wrestle in the 1st week, and everyone else wrestles in the other weeks.

I’ve taken to using the 20 man battle royal segment far more often (even though it costs cash) to improve skill for the competitors. It’s not perfect, but even WWE can’t get screen time for legitimately talented folks because of their roster size, and resorts to tag team lumberjack matches, 10 man tags, and Fatal Twelve-Ways.

Thanks for the tips. I have cut my roster and am enjoying the game more again.
I also have decided to go with a brandsplit. Since I think my shows will be more arranged. Thank you all
