Hello everyone, I am MystMotone101, and for once, I am back with another Beginner's Guide.
The basic idea of the Beginner's Guide is to help players make the most out of their 80s Mania Wrestling game, but making good money, getting good ratings, and so on. However, there is one aspect of 80s Mania Wrestling which I have overlooked a lot in these guides, and that, is creativity. For this, we'll be looking away from the typical Feuds and Tag Teams, and instead, we will be making our own, using the cards we have at our disposal.
For this, I will put up 4 makeshift tag teams and 4 makeshift feuds that any player can do with the wrestlers available at the start. This is mostly for fun, but if you want to stay in the game for longer periods of time, then fun is necessary.
You can either copy these tag teams or feuds and continue their success, or you can use them as guidelines for coming up with your own tag teams and feuds.
Tag Team 1- Ghoul Row (Keith Blood & Skullgore)
Ghoul Row has a very simple concept. Both Keith Blood and Skullgore are Ghoulies. Keith Blood and Skullgore are wicked evil and they plan on taking over the federation. By siding together, these two wicked undead monsters could put your whole roster into a deep bone covered grave. Just be sure to keep some garlic around.
Tag Team 2- Entertainment Heroes (Zen & Star Boy)
Zen and Star Boy are quite the odd pairing at first, but their similarities come in from the fact that both of them are superheroes from their respective games, on a certain entertaining system. Tired of all of the unjust things that have happened to the citizens of the federation, these two heroes have decided to join forces to take down everything that is bad. It's "time" for them to become star men.
Tag Team 3- Big Beasts (The Piranha & Chief Buffalo)
This team doesn't need an explanation, they are two big beasts (pairing them with Big Boss Jr. will give a stronger effect). Big Boss Jr. has taken these two beasts and combined their powers to create a force never seen in the federation before. Don't step in the ring with monsters like these unless you want to be next on the chopping block.
Tag Team 4- Ultraletes (Johnny Kobra & Tennis Pro)
Both of these wrestlers are athletes, and they can act as a nice low card team to fight for the tag team gold. These underhanded athletes have stopped at nothing to win trophies, but now they will stop at nothing to become the Tag Team Champions.
So, these are some tag teams, now for some feuds.
Feud 1- Bad Time for Glory (Arizona Chance VS Dr. B)
What I would consider your top feud at the start of the game, Arizona Chance and Dr. B are both excellent wrestlers to bring your league to new heights. Arizona Chance is hunting for gold, and Dr. B has the gold. How will Arizona Chance overcome the bad man?
Feud 2- Radically Obnoxious (Rad Racer VS Pelvis Pressly)
Pelvis Pressly needs to move and groove somehow, so why not do it against the totally radical Rad Racer? Rad Racer drove his motorcycle over one of Pelvis' blue suede shoes. To Pelvis, this is war, and he will never shut up about it for the next several weeks.
Feud 3- Skull Slayer (Zen VS Skullgore)
Zen and Skullgore are both nice mid-card wrestlers that are on opposite sides of life (literally). Zen has overcome many challengers, but none of them are as undead as Skullgore. Skullgore's ghastly bones are ready to attack the heroic Zen's ultra-sword.
Feud 4- Pirate's Land (Iron Mask VS Red Pirate Rogers)
Red Pirate Rogers can be a fun character to play around with, and Iron Mask can be a nice villain for the adventurer to overcome. Red Pirate Rogers has come in from the Seven Seas, but he sailed right into Iron Mask's country. Rogers will not give himself in to the Iron Mask, and now Iron Mask will make him pay for his rebellion.
So with that said, here are a few fun things to try out for your federation, or maybe take idolization from to make some interesting tag teams or rivalries to call your own. They may not be 8MW feuds or tag teams, but they are some things to try and have fun with as long as you play the game.
While making good shows, making good cash, and making good profits are necessary to get far, having fun with the game and being creative will make sure that your mind never decides to click that dreaded uninstall button.
So, I will ask all of you. What are some fun makeshift tag teams and feuds that you have done for your 80s Mania playthroughs and what is their backstory? I am curious to see what people can come up with, to help idolize others who want to do the same.
