I know that HHH wasn't that big a deal in the 90s (especially early on) but I'm a bit disappointed in VTC.
He is sitting in my store right now, but I am just not terribly interested in him. Do people usually use him? Or do you find him not really worthwhile?

I use him as a gatekeeper. A gatekeeper who always seems to lose.

Did you guys see the video wrestling isn't wrestling on Youtube. I kinda portray VTC like that. Hiding himself behind allies, to remain champion.

I don't think it is that surprising because Triple H... not really all that exciting of a wrestler. The only reason he is important is that WWE has told you for 20+ years he is important. I love how WWE video packages would talk about the greats: "Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Triple H, The Undertaker, Sting..." Wait wait, go back. Triple H? Seriously? Even at the apex of his career, he'd be lucky if he was in Top 5 of most important wrestlers in the company. If someone has to keep reminding you of how great they are, how great are they really? If you are that good, you don't need the World Title for half your career. It's such WWE homerism/revisionist history to talk about Triple H like he is this legend who wrestling wouldn't have been able to succeed without. Maybe that will be true of his backstage career, but as a professional wrestler he is highly overrated.

Pretty good talker in his DX days, but few matches to make you stop and say Damm.

Pretty good talker in his DX days... Was he, though? Why, because he got to make a bunch of dick jokes? I'm not saying he was awful. He's not awful in any aspect as a wrestler. He's just really not the guy WWE builds him up to be. He'll get to write history for the next few decades so it all becomes moot anyway. Triple H as one of the elite is going to be the narrative for the rest of my life.

HHH was decent. That's about it.
He was/is a great in-ring storyteller though and he deserves kudos for that.

HHH's World title run on raw was right in the middle of my childhood and i hated him for years. As i got older and became smarter to the business i started liking him more. In my opinion though he is definitely not a needle mover and was really never the true top guy. Maybe for a little after austin left and before cena. That being said i love what he does with NXT and can't wait for him to take over the business

I mean he’s really a dick dude, his feuds with Goldberg, Kane, HBK, Undertaker etc just showcase him in his prime where he does the most heelish acts, bending the rules, bending the narrative in his favor, cause he knows the game.

I think HHH himself honestly believes that he belongs on the Mount Rushmore of wrestling. Truthfully he doesn’t even belong in the top 10....No matter how many top wrestlemania matches he books himself into.
