I just saw that the 80s Mania Twitter account responded to a post that said the Year End Awards should be automatically generated by the game itself. I would personally be a big fan of this, as I usually just pick my longest reigning champs for that year.
Notable exception being Ninja Shadow who became my first ever Grand Slam champion in 1987 after an inconsequential run as Tag Team Champion. I had to award Wrestler of the Year to him for that.
How do you guys decide who gets these awards?
EDIT: Just saw this is my 100th post and I'm now officially a Main Eventer. Whoever is holding this forum's world title: I'm coming for you.

I would love to see the Year End Awards automatically generated by some unknown algorithm in the game, that factors win/loss records, titles held, cheer/boos received, etc. I think that is one of my most wanted new features.
Currently, I don't use any set guidelines when selecting award winners. It's usually based on which characters would hypothetically benefit the most from the "rub" of being awarded.

It would be cool that when selecting wrestler of the year, a top 3 of wrestlers who were deserving of winning the award would show up, listing important accomplishments of that wrestler on the year in question.

Automatically selected awards are absolutely brilliant! I hope the development team makes it a reality. If you're reading this Mr. Fantasy, please strongly consider this idea.

Right now, the year-end awards are for bragging rights only. If this will be taken out of our control, I want to see in game something for the wrestler who makes it.

I try to book my years around the awards, so every show/P4V I have in the back of my mind which wrestlers I want to win the awards. There are often upsets that throw a kink in things, but generally this works. It's a good way to reflect on previous years in the game, as well.

ON my awards I always try to check all the data of that year. Wrestler - the one that won more titles or more def titles TAG TEAM - More wins or title wins (invitational PPV) Most Popular - More matches HATRED - HEEL with more wins or titles in that year AUTO fill on the year awards would be great  |

I think an auto select of the awards is a great idea, which i would like to add to, that the winner of each award automaticly gets some sort of bonus for the following year. A push and draw bonus makes most sense for me.

I think there ahould be an award for females as well. Only bcuz the game doesnt allow me to use them as often so at the end of the year they are easily overlooked.
