Mr. Fantasy,
Thank you so much for year end awards automatic selection. I dreaded having to do it manually. My 1980 award were spot on.

My Wrestler of the Year for my most recent one was Grand Manga, 17W 17L. I changed it to Mr. Tycoon for his 12W 3L. I get why the app selected Manga, but he was only being used that much as I'm grinding his skill stat lol.

Yeah the automatic awards won't come into play like they are designed until all the stat grinding is finished but once it does, I'm sure it's gonna be a nice little treat at the end of the year.

So, I just reached the end of 1992 and with that comes my first set of automatically generated Year End Awards. Here's what the game selected for me:
Wrestler of the Year: Ace of Spades
Hell Yeah! Ace made his return to R'n'R this year after being absent since the end of 1989. He is the current World Champion, having broken Samson's 40-0 undefeated streak.
Most Popular Wrestler: Beastheart
Well deserved! Was part of a succesful tag team with O'Hooligan, which lead to a feud with his former tag team partner when they failed to capture the tag titles. Has been a prominent member of the R'n'R roster this year.
Most Hated Wrestler: Troglo
Who else? Started the year trying to regain the Television Championship that he lost at the tail-end of 1991 before taking some time off. When he returned after Champ Clash he went on to challenge for Ace of Spades' World Championship three times while going through two different managers before finally teaming up with The Hunk.
Tag Team of the Year: Undermaster & Ruffian
Wait... What? These two haven't teamed together once this year, or any year for that matter. Ruffian was succesful in the tag team division at the beginning of the year, having captured the championships twice with his partner O'Hooligan.
Undermaster didn't enter the hunt for the tag team titles until much later that year. He was presumed dead, but he reappeared alongside his cousin Dark Mauler just in time to win the Tag Team Invitational. They were the ones to dethrone Ruffian and O'Hooligan in July and have had a stranglehold on the championships ever since.
I've changed Ruffian to Dark Mauler in the awards before finalising the results.
Has anyone else gotten a surprising result in the awards like my tag team of the year?

I once had Buzzsaw and Exotic Rick selected for tag team of the year. Exotic Rick was tag champs with Flawless One and Buzzsaw’s alt card I teamed up with some random good guy (I don’t have Lazer’s alt) and they beat Perfection.

I makes me wonder what goes into picking the best tag-team. I did use Undermaster more than Mauler, so I guess that checks out, but O'Hooligan was featured way more than Ruffian.

Mine seem pretty spot on, Auroro won most popular one year which was a nice surprise she did defend the title a few times that year and i used her in a few skit/mic spots as build up for her matches

Grand Manga and Magnifico seem like a perfect team to be honest

My thought exactly. Just need to figure out a team name for them now that they're the champs.

End of 1985 - made no changes this time:
Wrestler of the Year: Ace Of Spades (2x (and reigning) World Champ)
Tag-Team of the Year: Terry & Devin van Winkle (Won the belts in July, went into 1986 as the champs)
Most Popular: Average Guy
Most Hated: Ace Of Spades
Wish we had a separate category for Female WOTY though.

That’s not a bad idea! Aside from that and trio of the year, what other awards could be added? Perhaps Feud of the Year as well based on most frequent matches?

Remember when you could only pick an official team as team of the year? Was pretty annoying whenever u created a great team.
