Which characters do you think they will bring from the 80s game to the Modern era? Make your lists, and please remember that there is about 20 years difference between 80s Mania and Modern Mania.
My list: The Hunk as "Hollywood Hunk"/Wayne Dougson, still wrestling between movies.
Skelasaw, a new manager who is actually Skelascream/Skelagore. His shoot (" real") name is Keldor Kramer (Keldor from Skeletor's pre-transformed name from the second He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series, and John Kramer, Jigsaw from thee Saw series).
Anyone else?

Silvergod (shoot name: Guy Average Junior) is probably still wrestling, both under the name Silvergod, Guy Average Jr., or The Continental Nightmare (as his father, Average Guy/Guy Average Sr. was sometimes billed as the Continental Daydream)).
Dude Broham (shoot name Terry Broham) is one of the old guard who is not as active as he use to be but is still semi-popular with the fans. So he sometimes comes out of retirement to wrestle.
Mike Troggo (Troggo) no longer wrestles, as his hardcore wrestling style has messed up his body. But he is a mighty fine wrestling commentator.
The Undermaster (shoot name Gregory Masters) is still wrestling, using either his gravedigger personality or his biker personally. His nephew Slashmaster 2 (shoot name Stanley Masters) uses the gimmick with permission from his uncle. Many people say that the remake or reimaging is never as good as the original.

The first ones that come to mind are VTC, Magnus Muscle, Magnifico, The Gage Guyz and the Undermaster. I'd personally create a new category (Hall of Fame maybe?) with a huge Pop stat, a reasonable Mic stat and a decreased Skill stat.

VTC (shoot name: Vladimir Crulski) is related by marriage to Mr. Fantasy. He wrestles as a celebrated tweener.

Mangus Muscle (Shoot name: Kurt Angumaru) still wrestles under the name Muscle King (who enhereted Pop King's crown). His son also wrestles under Kid Mangus (Shoot name: Mantaru Angumaru). The kid is a bit clumsy, but also funny and enjoyable to watch.

Herman Nerd, Super Spy (shoot name: Herman Pointdexter) was booted out of the fed in the 00s for being too much of a "boring gimmick". He spent the 00s bitter without an outlet, till he discovered MyTube. He started commenting about how modern wrestling is shit, using colorful language and such. He was rehired in the 10s to put his skills where his mouth is. He revived his nerd character and was rebranded The RUWN (short for Really Upset Wrestling Nerd). Note: character is loosely based on James Rolfe's Angry Video Game Nerd character from YouTube.

Tennis Pro has left the ring behind him, but now runs a successful podcast where he craps on everything fun in wrestling and screams about how the new guys are killing the industry.
Arizona Chance recently made an appearance at a new promotion’s first P4V called “Double Down” where he picked up the wife of The Average Nightmare and carried her backstage during his match against real life brother Silvergod. He currently helps broken down wrestlers get out of their addictions using Tae Kwon Do.
VTC currently works with HFK and comes up with incredible storylines and builds stars in his minor league promotion, then passes them off to Mr. Fantasy so he can have them shave each other’s backs on camera, or watch as their name is changed three times in four weeks. He currently is biding his time until Mr. Fantasy retires so he can run the big show with his wife, Bethany Fantasy-Cruel at his side.

Ruffian (Shoot name: Fred "Monster" Paloski) is now a professional strongman having amassed several championships but every now and then he gets bit by the wrestling bug and makes surprise appearances

Personally, I don't care for too many wrestlers from the 90's still being active competitors as few are still working more than a few shows a year. What I would like to see is some of our favorites from the 80's, like Arizona Chance and Jet Set Strutter as managers in their older age.

My Top 10 cards they should bring over:
(I'm working off the assumption that this game will cover two decades (2000-2009; 2010-2019) like 80s Mania Returns does):
1. Jet Set Strutter (2000-2009) 2. Samson (2000-2005; 2015-2019) 3. High Flyin Kid (2000-2009) 4. VTC (2000-2019) 5. Undermaster (2000-2019) 6. Ace of Spades (2000-2005) 7. The Hunk (2000-2005) 8. Dude Brohan (2000-2005) 9. Silvergod (2000-2009; 2013-2019) 10. Magnus Muscle (2000-2006; 2015-2019)
Obviously, some gimmicks need to be changed/updated, and thus may not count in some people's eyes, but these are some that I believe are essential to bring over.

They are going for a generic "NOW" time frame (not dating there years but calling it Year 1, Year 2, etc, till Year 20 is reached).
