Also, how is mark a “fake” word? How can any word be fake, especially when you have ascribed meaning to it? Language is like a living thing and we make new words and/or ascribe different meanings to word all the time. Furthermore, the etymology of the term mark is over a century old. A “mark” is a term confidence men (i.e. con artists) would use to identify the target of a scheme. Where did pro wrestling start? In carnivals. You know what two types of people had a lot of overlap between them? Carnies and con artists. They were one and the same a lot of the time. Obviously for a long time it was an insider term, but the curtain has been pulled back fully at this point. I’m not even going to begin to touch the whole “mark is the equivalent of the N-word” business. It is *very* glib to even suggest they are anywhere near the same thing, though. I’m going to chalk it up to passive ignorance and leave it at that. (I kind of skimmed through so if I missed anything important that's why) 1. I'm talking about the "mark" used for wrestling not the name or the line (or something similar) Think of it like "ion" 2. Again the modern day "N word" that ends with an A (the one that has a million different definitions [exaggeration of course]) not the hard R (aka the word that makes sense to get offended by)

I don't see a problem with being a mark tbh. It means you're taking the product for what it is (entertainment) and enjoying yourself without wanting to know all the backstage goings on etc. Basically, being a fan! to be honest I'm not even sure what the definition even is considering that most of the time I see it people use it for idiot, fanboy, low life, bum, and other things

As stated earlier, "mark" in wrestling comes from the term used by con artists, but it also comes from the "marks" on a sheet of paper indicating how many people have come in for the show in order to track attendance and make sure they got all the money they were supposed to. If you buy a ticket, you're a mark.

Finn balor winning the NXT championship again is probably the happiest I've been since I returned

Couple of cracking matches too. I don't get why people were upset with the "tie" last week.
Bit upset that the Title match didn't close the show though.

I'm happy that MLW seems to be on the way to running shows again. One of the only companies I care about and am a fan of right now

Bit upset that the Title match didn't close the show though. granted you kind of have to look at what happened behind it and the fact that all 4 guys were not only already established stars but already NXT champions so they didn't really need the push or title (that's as simple as that so I'll just explain the first part) Keith Lee not only beat Adam Cole who was the longest reigning champion but was the North American champion as well just for him to defend both once, vacate the North American championship, lose it to a guy who got pushed to the top to early, Keith was just a transitional champion, and kross got injured so the pushed was kind of a waste

Couple of cracking matches too. I don't get why people were upset with the "tie" last week. I think Bryan Alvarez put it perfectly: "If this was a regular title match and it ended in a draw, that's fine. That's pro wrestling. But if you promise that you're going to crown a new champion and then you don't, that's just false advertising." I honestly think a 4 way elimination match that went an hour would have been a better way to crown the champion than the Iron Man match.

I thought the post-match promos with Finn and Cole where they presented themselves more as "people/athletes" instead of "wrestler/gimmick" were excellent and they should do more of that, especially in NXT where it's not as over-the-top as Raw or Smackdown.
