RODD PUTTERGILL: "Yuppie VP certainly trying to make his point there with a quick victory over the veteran Tommy Tough, a man who just a few weeks ago gave his all in a match with the JWA World Champion Dyno. Speaking of our champ, the cameras were backstage after Yuppie's match as Dyno was set to head out to the arena to give the fans a farewell address. They caught this interesting moment..."
A camera is following Dyno as he is chatting to a backstage hand as Yuppie VP's match finishes. Yuppie comes through the curtain with Bambi chatting away as usual. Dyno looks towards the former number one contender and pauses for a minute before walking over.
DYNO: "You know you were a huge reason I signed here in the first place man? Where are you now? Calling out Tommy, Mack and Stan? Dude they should be the ones challenging you, not the other way around. You are one of the best this fed has...nay, the world of wrestling has. Maybe you should stop listening to this slag and think about what brought you to the dance, 'cause this (bleep) right here, isn't it."
Dyno walks off through the curtain before Bambi, who looks stunned that someone spoke to her in that way, can say anything. You hear the cheers of the fans in the studio as the feeds ends.

Stanley the Weeb goes up to the anouncer's table.
Stanley: Just a quick little thing. Yuppie. You turned on your friends. And you expect people to respect you? Don't make me laugh. My time is too pressous to waist on a slimeball like you. Don't forget I'm still a subject of a law suit against me. And honestly I would rather tussle with my friends than with you. Heck, I would rather mess with The Niz than you.
Duke: Do you speak for...
Stanley: Heck no. Tommy and the others have their own voice and can speak for themselves. I do not acknowledge your challenge Yuppie. Someone else will step up to your snake ass. Now if you excuse me, I got to Netflix and Chill.

Rodd Puttergill: You heard it at the end of this past week's Glory - Yuppie VP will face off with JWA World Champion Dyno in a non-title cage match where if Yuppie wins he'll be added to the World Title match at Super Glory. But that wasn't the only story to come out of Glory involving Yuppie VP. We happened to catch a glimpse of him handing an envelope to the referee for the World Tag Team Title match featuring Arizona Chance & Pierre The Enormous defending against Red Pirate Rogers & Stanley The Weeb. Last night at our Mania exclusive taping we happened to have the cameras rolling and Chet Desmond was on the scene for the following events. (We go to a shot of Chet Desmond prepping to do a pre-tape interview. He's adjusting his tie and someone is moving lights around. In the background is the door to the local talent locker room. Suddenly the door opens and Yuppie VP steps out) Chet Desmond: Hey, are we rolling? Yes? YUPPIE! Excuse me, sir! Yuppie VP: Ah, Chet. What can I do for you? Chet: I'm just curious as to what you were doing in the local talent's locker room? Yuppie: Chet, it's well documented that Chase Victory and Kenny Wynn are my former students, and Barney Burrowitt helped break me into the business years ago. A guy can't check in with his friends? Chet: Well, based on your recent actions I doubt any of the people you mentioned would want to talk with you. What's really going on? Yuppie: Look at the big brain on Chet! Alright, if you must know, let me put it to you this way. Stanley The Weeb turned down my challenge from a week ago. Let's just say that if Stan won't face me, he's going to have a hard time finding anyone else to have a match with. Now, if you don't mind, I've got a cage match to go prepare to win. (Yuppie walks off out of the shot) Chet: Did we catch all of that? (We cut back to Rodd in the JWA Mania studio) Rodd: What is Yuppie up to? How will this impact Stanley The Weeb? We'll keep our eyes open for what comes next. Fans, don't go away because there's more action coming up after the break!

RODD PUTTERGILL: I’m here with former JWA World Champion and current Tag Team Champion Arizona Chance. Arizona, first of all, where is your partner, Pierre?
ARIZONA: He’s had a bout with the flu. Nothing for him to worry about, but I sure don’t want to catch a giant case of the flu. What knocks him down a peg might be devastating to a normal human being like us, Rodd.
RODD: Well then Arizona, what’s on your mind?
ARIZONA: Rodd, not to be a butthead, but you asked me for the interview. What questions do you have for me?
RODD: Well… ummm… how do you feel about the footage that Yuppie VP may have slipped something to the referee before your title match with Rogers and Stanley?
ARIZONA: If anything tainted that result, it’s shameful. Stan and Red are every bit our equals and our friends. If it turns out that Yuppie did do something untoward, and the ref was influenced, we will happily grant them a rematch.
RODD: You still haven’t made any plans to go after the World Title belt you so narrowly lost to Dyno in England.
ARIZONA: And I don’t plan to. Dyno has done a great job as champion, and I said right from the beginning— from the first episode of JWA Glory almost a year ago, back when we had too many Y’s attached to the name— that I wanted one last world championship run. I got it, and it was successful. Frankly, with the little one at home, I don’t want all of the responsibility of being world champ right now.
RODD: But you don’t want to be known as the best in the business?
ARIZONA: Rodd… how old are you? Like 16? Listen, as you get older, as you mature, goals change. Being thought of as “the best” was important to me in the past. But now? I’d rather be “the best” husband, dad, and friend I can be, and unless something very personal happened, I don’t see that changing.
RODD: That’s Arizona Chance, stating he’d rather be a stay at home dad than world champion. Back to the studio.
ARIZONA: Wait, that’s not what I—

Stanley the Weeb enters the ring.
Announcer: Tonights match is a one fall match. In the red corner is Stanley the Weeb. The blue corner is Earl Jackson. (Pause) Earl Jackson.
Yuppie is shown with Earl on the JWA-a-tron. It is the airport. Earl has a suitcase.
Yuppie: Say hi to your ailing mother for me. (Turns to the camera). How sad, Mr. Jackson's mother getting sick so suddenly. I just had to help him out of the bottom of my heart with a nice no interest loan. Looks like you win this match Weeb.
The JWA-a-tron goes black as Stanley the Weeb is declared the winner by forfeit. Stanley the Weeb leaves the ring, clearly disappointed.

Rodd Puttergill: Super Glory, the one year anniversary of JWA, is merely days away. Here with a major announcement regarding the show, as well as our upcoming July P4V, is the boss, Kip Whistler!
(Kip walks into the JWA Mania studio through a door in the back and walks up next to Rodd)
Rodd: Kip, it’s great to have you here. What have you got for us?
Kip Whistler: It’s great to be here for the first time in person in the Mania studio. And I’ve got major news about this week’s one year anniversary card. First, kicking off the show will be an Anniversary Battle Royal! It’s going to feature a who’s who of the JWA roster. Such names as Yuppie VP, Red Pirate Rogers, Stanley The Weeb, Pierre The Enormous, and a miraculous return to the ring of The Manhattan Mauler! Plus other JWA stars as well.
Rodd: The first ever battle royal in JWA history! That should be incredible. Let’s not bury the lead, Kip - The Mauler is back from his career-ending automobile accident?
Kip: It was downgraded from “career-ending” to “career-threatening” at some point. I hope he’ll share with us the story of his recovery in defiance of all the odds. What a story it would be if he won the battle royal, don’t you think?
Rodd: Incredible is a understatement!
Kip: Super Glory will also feature Arizona Chance putting his OG Legends Title, recently refurbished, on the line against a mystery challenger. I’ve heard rumblings of who will accept and if my sources are correct, the landscape of JWA is about to change dramatically!
Rodd: A new member of JWA? That’s always exciting news! Plus the main event is the 3 way battle for the JWA World Title as Dyno defends against Tommy End and Mack Caliber. A true test of our fighting champion’s abilities.
Kip: Indeed. Speaking of Dyno, that brings me to my final announcement, which regards the July P4V. Dyno may have let it slip during his recent press tour, but this year “Fortune & Glory” is going to be held in Japan’s world famous Purodome!
Rodd: That’s huge news! I better start brushing up on my Japanese.
Kip: We’ll also be taping Glory the following Tuesday at the Tokyo Temple. Just another sign that JWA is continuing to grow in popularity around the globe, and we want to bring our action directly to the fans, wherever they may be.
Rodd: Major announcements all around. Thank you for joining us this afternoon, Kip.
Kip: My pleasure, Rodd. Keep up the good work!
Rodd: Fans, there’s more action coming up on the other side of this commercial break. Stay tuned!

Arizona walks out, microphone in hand.
“Hey Kip— thanks for the heads up. A new challenger? Well, I love new challenges. Winning the OG Legends Championship back in the day was a challenge. Becoming the inaugural JWA World Champion was a challenge. Successfully defending that belt six times was a challenge. I. LIVE. FOR. CHALLENGES.
So, to the mystery man— or woman— bring your A game. I’ll bring mine. And we’ll give the fans a spectacle, and you’ll see why nobody defends the gold like Arizona Chance!”

As Kip is about to leave the studio, Dyno walks in with a big grin on his face. DYNO: "Hey boss man, hey Rodd. So can I announce this then Kip?" KIP: "We were waiting for you champ!" DYNO: "Well as you all know, I've had a bit of a bee in my bonnet shall we say, about Yuppie's actions of late and especially that female friend of his. And despite asking her not to get involved this past week, she still stuck her nose in...so I got on the phone to a friend of mine from my Japan days...and as part of the link that allowed us the Puro Dome show I now have a new challenge for Duke Mongoose and Bambi. This coming week's Super Glory anniversary show is already huge...but let's make it that little bit bigger shall we...with the JWA's first women's match...my friend TRIXIE is challenging Bambi Bambino in a match at Super Glory!! So Yuppie and cronie...what say you?!" RODD: "Huge news folks! We wait for Yuppie's response!"

Rodd Puttergill: We’re just about out of time this week, fans, but I understand we’ve got Yuppie VP on the phone. Yuppie? Are you there?
Yuppie VP: Yeah, I’m here Rodd. I’m at home watching the show and I heard what Dyno had to say so I figured I’d try to get a hold of you while you’re still on the air so I can respond.
Rodd: Well, what is your response to the challenge laid out by Dyno for a match at Super Glory between Bambi Bambino and the debuting Trixie?
Yuppie: The answer is yes, we accept. Hold on, Bam Bam, it’s Puttergill. You want the phone for a second?
Bambi Bambino: YEAH, GIVE ME THAT. RODD? CAN YA HEAR ME?
Rodd: Yes, we hear you. There’s no need to yell.
Bambi: WHO’S YELLIN? ANYWAY, YOU TELL DYNO AND TRIXIE THAT I CAN SEE AGAIN AND I’M LOOKIN FORWARD TA KICKIN HER BUTT ALL OVER DAT JWA RING!
Yuppie: Okay, I’ll take that now. Go pick out your gear for Super Glory. Rodd, you still there?
Rodd: Yes, Yuppie, but we’re almost out of time.
Yuppie: I’ll be quick. Bambi needs to make up for letting me down in my match with Dyno, so this match with Trixie is a big deal regarding our future.
Rodd: Interesting. We’re out of time. We’ll see you at Super Glory!

Rodd Puttergill: It was announced that the next JWA PPV, "Fortune & Glory" would be taking place from the legendary Puro Dome in Tokyo, Japan. Now we have a confirmed date for this major event - Saturday July 24th! That's right, tickets are on sale now, and of course if you can't be there in person, be sure to join us on PPV. If you ever needed a reason to stay up late and watch wrestling, this would be it!
Chet Desmond: That's right, Rodd. And with the crowning of a new JWA World Heavyweight Champion this past week at Super Glory, you have to wonder who the new champ Tommy End will be defending against inside the Puro Dome on July 24th.
Rodd: Well the obvious challenger would be former champion Dyno. He didn't lose the fall that cost him the title in the 3 way match so he has a legitimate claim for a one on one championship match.
Chet: True, but you can also look at Pierre The Enormous as a potential challenger as well. Pierre won the first-ever battle royal in JWA history, not to mention he's one half of the JWA World Tag Team Champions and a multi-time tag champion as well.
Rodd: Indeed. Perhaps we'll find out this coming week on Glory. Tommy End has never been one to back down from a challenge and I don't think he'll have any reservations about facing either Dyno or Pierre The Enormous. Let's shift gears for a second and talk about the main event of the upcoming Glory - Yuppie VP vs. Stanley The Weeb.
Chet: Rodd, unless I'm mistaken, this is the first one on one meeting between Stanley and Yuppie.
Rodd: I believe so, Chet.
Chet: Stanley is as unpredictable as anyone can get in JWA. Will he be standard Stanley? Will he be an anime or manga character? Will he be Nightmare Ginzu? Will he be something completely different that we've never seen before? I imagine it's nearly impossible to game plan for someone like that.
Rodd: Agreed, but if there is one person who thinks that they can, it would be Yuppie VP. We saw his relationship with Bambi Bambino disintegrate this past week on Glory, and Yuppie hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire in the ring lately. He'll be looking to get the win to try to bounce back into the World Championship title hunt.
Chet: Hey, if Stanley wins would that put him into World Championship contention again? Could we be adding Stanley to the list of potential challengers for Tommy End's crown?
Rodd: We know that Stanley has made it clear that he does not have championship aspirations, but we also know that he won't turn down the opportunity if it's presented to him.
Chet: I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Rodd: Fans, that's this coming week, as for this afternoon on Mania, stay tuned because we've got Mania exclusive matches coming your way after the break!

Rodd Puttergill: "For those of you that didn't watch last nights anniversary show, we saw the return of The Manhattan Mauler in the Battle Royale. He didn't win, but he came a decent 3rd. Is Mauler back for good and what does he want? Well he's here today to answer those questions and more, but first Mauler I think we're all surprised that you're here at all, would you mind telling us how you got back into the ring in such a short time?" , Mauler: "Firstly Rodd, unless anything unforeseen happens I'm here full time. Now on your other big question, when I got into that car accident Rodd I wasn't sure if I'd ever wrestle again. I was taken to a Local Medical Facility and was told I'd suffered a major concussion and multiple broken ribs. I spent my time in hospital thinking about what I'd done in this business and decided I wasn't satisfied with the way my career was going at the time. This wasn't how it was going to end. I'd become a slimly suck up who'd sooner buy a title shot than earn one. I was going back to ring if it killed me. I recovered much quicker than expected and contacted Kip in time for Super Gloryyy, and was granted a place in the Battle Royale." Rodd: "You just mentioned championship shots. What're your goals for JWA in the near future? Mauler: "You said it yourself: Titles. Firstly I want to congratulate my former Wings partner Tommy End on his win of the World title, but it Looks like he's got his hands full with enough masked men right now. What I want is the Legends Title. If Super Glory is anything to go by then Chance is accepting all comers. Fortune favours the bold so tonight I'm throwing out the challenge. This time I'm not doing it the cowards way of attacking Arizona after the bell. I want a fair match with Thumper Moore III for the Legends title in 4 weeks time." Rodd: "We'll have to wait and see if he accepts! Looks like we're out of time for this interview, thanks for your time Mauler" Mauler: "No problem."

Post by Red Pirate Rogers on Jul 10, 2021 13:38:53 GMT -5
Rodd Puttergill: at Glory this week, the JWAs resident charming scoundrel, Red Pirate Rogers announced he would have a series of fights to earn a spot in the Main Event scene, he started out with a 2-on-1 match against Nickel Nick Blunt and Barney Burrowitt, our team of Mick LeRay and Duke Mongoose have the call.
[ding ding ding]
LeRay: here we go, the Red Pirate willingly taking a disadvantage to prove something to himself and others in the JWA.
Mongoose: You can say Beeman's name, LeRay, it's not like he's Candyman or something.
LeRay: Sean Beeman has certainly been a sharp critic of Red Pirate Rogers, but the buccaneer is ready to fight everyone who needs it, including his critics, and oh my a quick Kamtchatka Crunch leg sweep there from Red takes Barney Burrowitt off his feet and gets him in an ankle lock.
Mongoose: can't remember the last time I saw Barney or Nick get a win, LeRay.
LeRay: good chance to tonight with a 2-to-1 edge, and Oh my, Nic Blunt just broke it up, and a little bit of that man advantage here as Barney and Nic run Rogers into their corner. And Nic has tagged himself in.
Mongoose: Rogers in the wrong part of town right now.
LeRay: Fallaway slam and Rogers is down but, wait is Barney tagging himself in?
Mongoose: they both want to score a pin! It'd be a big win for either man.
LeRay: but their bickering has given Rogers the chance to get back up and...Noggin knocker sends both men reeling around the ring.
Mongoose: they gave him an opening, Rogers is too smart to waste it.
LeRay: Up on the second rope he's smacking Nic's head into the top turnbuckle. 3, 4, 5 times. Hops down and heads off to Barney in the opposite corner...
Mongoose: now he's giving them an opening...
LeRay: flying elbow! Knocks Barney back to the corner here's a couple of driving shoulders and Barney slumps to the ground
Mongoose: I think Nic's about to get up...
LeRay: Here goes Rogers over to stop him...Tortuga grog into the turnbuckle, he pings back towards Barney is he going for it?
Mongoose: Hope so, I'm getting tired just watching him!
LeRay: Yes, swashbuckler! 1..2...
Mongoose: Call your grandma, this one's over!
LeRay: I'm not sure he's running over to Blunt, lifts him up and...yes another Swashbuckler for the pin!
Mongoose: hate to admit it but that was pretty good LeRay!
[Rogers celebrates and we cut to commercial]

Post by Red Pirate Rogers on Jul 18, 2021 2:20:58 GMT -5
[we come back from commercial with Red Pirate Rogers making his entrance as Pirate King plays and his opponents circle the ring waiting his arrival]
Mick LeRay: Welcome back to Mania JWA fans, it's time for the four on one tornado challenge set out by Red Pirate Rogers. Our favorite sea dog has his work count here, right Duke?
Duke Mongoose: Last week, Rogers capitalized when his opponents were distracted, I don't think he'll be so lucky here. [Rogers slides into the ring, but before he can get up to bow, the Punter charges in and boots his midsection. The bell rings]
LeRay: It's a dog pile on Rogers in the corner and this might be over early.
Mongoose: Good! I got a hot date tonight! [Somehow Rogers slips out on the far side of the ring while the others keep blindly smashing]
LeRay: Rogers has stepped out to gather himself--
Mongoose: He's running away, LeRay.
LeRay: that seems unlikely [Vegas Viggins stops the others and points at Rogers. The gang starts to climb out after him and Rogers begins to run while the others give chase]
Mongoose: see! Smartest thing Red's done tonight!
LeRay: Rogers is rushing around the ring while the Malarkeys follow, and...oh my!! [As they finish a lap, Rogers leaps, and in one fluid motion swings around a ring post, springboards from the bottom rope to the top turnbuckle and launches a flying crossbody at his opponents, knocking them into eachother and then the floor] that's the kind of moment you only get in the JWA!
[As the crowd roars, Rogers pulls the last man on the floor up and rolls him in]
LeRay: Rogers has the Punter back in the ring, and it looks like he's setting up the figurehead...yes he's got it! And...there's the bell, Punter submitted! Rogers wins again!
Mongoose: I s'pose you could even say the other three got counted out, too! Well LeRay at least I can go meet my date!

Mick LeRay: Welcome to ringside here on this week's episode of JWA Mania. We'll be joining Rodd Puttergill & Chet Desmond in the studio in just a bit, but we're kicking things off this week with in-ring action.
"Hollywood" Duke Mongoose: That's right, LeRay. And who better to start things off than the Wall Street Wolf himself, Yuppie VP!
LeRay: Let's go to the ring announcer for the introductions.
Ring Announcer: The following contest is set for one fall with a ten minute time limit. Introducing first, in the blue corner... from the Financial District, weighing in at two hundred and thirty pounds... The Wall Street Wolf... YUPPIE VP!
(A loud chorus of boos. Yuppie waves off the fans angrily)
Ring Announcer: His opponent, in the red corner... weighing in at two hundred and forty two pounds... Jonny Powell!
LeRay: There's the bell and this match is underway.
Mongoose: Jonny Powell looks to be in incredible shape, kinda like me back before my injury, but he's going to need more than just those beach muscles if he wants to beat Yuppie here today.
(The two men lock up in the center of the ring, and Powell takes control with a side headlock. The crowd cheers in support)
LeRay: Powell in charge off the opening lock up, but Yuppie doesn't look too worried.
Mongoose: I'm sure he's three moves ahead of Powell, LeRay.
(Yuppie scoops up Powell and drops him in an Atomic Drop. As Powell steps lightly around the ring, holding his lower back, Yuppie comes off the ropes and levels him with a jumping lariat)
LeRay: And just like that the tides have shifted!
Mongoose: I told you, three moves ahead.
(Yuppie picks up Powell and sends him across the ring, then sends him flying head over heels with a big back body drop in the center of the ring)
LeRay: More damage to the back of Jonny Powell, who looks to be in a bad way.
Mongoose: I get the feeling Yuppie is just toying with him, LeRay. This match could be over any time Yuppie wants it to be.
LeRay: I think you're right, Duke. Yuppie now hooking Powell in a front facelock, possibly looking for his Hostile Takeover falcon arrow.
Mongoose: If he nails this, LeRay, then the deal is done.
LeRay: Yuppie drives him into the mat with a high angle falcon arrow! But wait, he's not going for the cover! What is he doing?
Mongoose: I'm a bit shocked myself. We've seen him put away greater opponents than Jonny Powell with that maneuver. I don't think this is smart.
(Yuppie allows Powell to get to his hands and knees, then Yuppie wraps up Powell's arms, crosses his legs, and puts his shoulders to the mat in a snug pinning combination)
One...Two......Three!
LeRay: A three count and there's the bell!
Mongoose: Call your grandmother, this one's over!
LeRay: I don't know what that pinning combination was, as I've never seen it before in all my years, but it got the job done today.
Mongoose: Jonny Powell was playing checkers, Yuppie is playing chess. Powell's not the only one in JWA playing checkers, LeRay.
LeRay: That remains to be seen, but we do know that Yuppie VP picks up a victory this week on JWA Mania with a new maneuver. Perhaps Honest Sal can find out what it's called on Glory this week. But for right now, let's send it to Rodd Puttergill in the JWA Mania studio!
