The lights dim, spotlights hit the ramp and our favourite Lady Gaga remix hits:
Brad steps out, looking a bit different...
LeRay: What in the name of goodness?
Brad is in full cosplay - dressed in a Red Pirate Rogers licensed costume. He carries a plethora of Rogers merchandise - sword, flagon, and, for some reason, a NERF gun.
Beeman: This boy. LeRay: He's a buffoon is what he is! He's going to get skinned alive by Rogers! Beeman: Rogers doesn't seem like the type of man to skin anyone. LeRay: Oh he is! He's ruthless! You forget how powerful a man he is, and his crew! Beeman: Regardless, I doubt Rogers is, ahem, thin skinned.
There are groans from the announce team as Brad strolls to the ring, shouting out odd phrases like, "Hyah!" and "Ride 'em up!" and "Tunnel Rats Rule!"
Rod C: The following contest has a twenty-minute time limit and is scheduled for one fall.
The crowd roars, "ONE FALL!"
Brad has reached the ring and is bouncing around like a dope.
Rod C: Introducing our first competitor... Bad! Luck! Brad! Ley!
Brad is dancing about in the ring, crying out, "Cup of tea! Hats and bananas! Cock-a-Doodle-doo!" as his music ends and he takes a buck leap out of the ring, spinning to see his wrestling idol enter...

Rod C: And his opponent (Cannon blast), hailing from the seven seas...The Crimson Corsair...Red...Pirate....ROGERS!
(Pirate King plays and Rogers enters with his crew members)
LeRay: Here comes the hero of the hour Beeman: Trembleberry?!? Where?!?!? (READ the post in Midweek Misc, True Believers!) LeRay: Oh, brother!
(Rogers jumps into the ring and lands facing Brad who mimics his graceful land even though he just hopped in the air, Rogers walks forward a few steps and so does Bradley, they bow to eachother...simultaneously, they turn to the crowd and bow...again simultaneously, Rogers laughs a little, and Brad does the same.)
LeRay: I didn't know Bad Luck Bradley was such a fan of Red Pirate Rogers. Beeman: I've always said you'd have to have a screw loose to like Rogers...well, Brad proves it!
(The bell rings, and the two men circle eachother with Brad mimicking every stretch and shake that Rogers makes...Rogers reaches out for a Good Sportsmanship handshake, and Brad gladly takes it...but then he doesn't let go...his eyes go wide and he gets a big smile on his face like he can't believe it's real...but he doesn't let go...)

Holding a smile as tight as Brad's grip, Rogers tries to prise himself away from the Bad Luck Wrestler, but to no avail. The Red Pirate twists, he turns, but still the handshake is held tight. Suddenly, with a crack, he turns it into an Irish whip but Brad still doesn't let go, his momentum sending the two ment into a spiralling spin in the centre of the ring. Red takes a leap and roll, his grip pulling Brad into a cartwheel. The two men flounder for some time.
Then, at once, both men kip up and start swinging digs at one another, but their proximity makes aiming hard and they instinctively dodge each arcing blow. As Bad Luck would have it, Rogers manages to clip Brad and the two spin on the ropes, taking turns to take control, their fists still in a tight grip.
Taking sudden advantage, Rogers pushes Brad into the corner, climbs to Bret's rope (the most dangerous rope) and monkey flips Brad over, planting a lovely armbar as he does so.
Brad is now an unsafe distance from the ropes, roaring in agony. This match has become decidedly hostile.

LeRay: The Bad Luck Wrestler looks to be in a bad way here. Beeman: Rogers can hold this all day, I don’t think Brad will say he submits. LeRay: Bradley has shown tremendous will and fortitude, but like all wrestlers he too is human. Beeman: well, yeah obviously. I mean, I think Bradley will mispronounce it, say he Submarine Sandwiches or something. (Beat) LeRay: You have a point Beeman: As usual
(Rogers steps over Brad’s arm to add torque, but as he does so Brad swings the arm up and gives the pirate a low blow.)
LeRay: oh, resourceful move from the bad luck wrestler there breaks the hold. What’s he got planned now?
(Brad stands and gives Rogers a couple stiff shots to stagger him, Rogers backs up toward the ropes and…)
LeRay: oh my! Beautiful drop kick from Brad, I’ve never seen him so agile, and Rogers topples over the top rope and lands dazed on the floor.
(Rogers staggers a moment while Brad plots his next move, fans cheer him on and one reaches out to pat him on the back and hand him a cup of water.)
LeRay: wait a second? Is that? Beeman: Bradley’s grandmother?!?!? (It is. He takes the cup gratefully and leans back to gather himself, he smiles at grandma t then takes her hand and kisses it gentlemanly, while Brad seethes in the ring)

Brad stomps his feet and rolls out of the ring, confronting Rogers. They have a heated debate, after which Rogers bows and steps back. Brad says something to his grandmother, who hisses a reply, takes off her slipper and beats him with it. As the security manhandle her away, she throws a handkerchief to Rogers, who catches it theatrically.
Brad, boiling with righteous fury, stomps right over and gets into the faces of the Colour Crew, turning to Rogers to see his reaction. Rogers betrays nothing, such is his trust and faith in his boys.
Brad is walking up and down then, roaring and shouting, shoving and pushing. The Crew stand, unmoving. At once, Brad reaches into the crowd and withdraws a soda cup. As he rears back, Rogers intercepts it, sending the soda spraying over the crowd, who shimmy and shake. Rogers is on Brad, locking up and pressing him against the apron, his mouth tight.

The camera is close enough that we can see Rogers in Bradley's face, applying a forearm to his opponent's neck, and rarely has he seemed so upset.
RPR: "What are you playing at? Dress like me? Move like me? But to shame others? Shame my men, shame your charming nana? Shame on you..." (With a grunt, Rogers sends Brad on a whip into the steel steps, he follows up a moment later with a cannonball. He's breathing hard)
LeRay: I think I can say, I've never seen Rogers this upset. Beeman: Yeah, I don't mind it! LeRay: He has been fighting men on two continents within the past 24 hours, and now is facing Bradley's shenanigans. Beeman: It'd be almost worth buying his stuff, if I knew I could get him this upset.
(Rogers locks up Bradley and looks to be trying to lift him for a vertical suplex...but Bradley blocks, and reverses it and then drops Rogers on the ring apron with a facebuster...)
LeRay: What a reversal from Bad Luck Bradley...and he turns to taunt the color crew again! Beeman: 4 on 1, this is why they don't call him "Smart Choices" Bradley
(Kenny Wynn and Chase Victory look ready to charge in but they're stopped by Vinny Bambino and the camera catches him saying, "the captain gave his orders..." Brad turns back and pushes Red into the ring, and then climbs the turnbuckle and gestures like he's going to deliver Rogers' Cliffs of Insanity)

Brad is going up top. He's not a man with a wide array of moves in general, but the repertoire from the top rope is shallow at best. He has never performed Rogers' Cliffs of Insanity, but he has watched him do it many times.
Many, many times.
It's simple. It's just jump and move, bit of a twist.
Beeman: He can't surely be wanting to do this?
Brad leaps.
LeRay: He is!
Mid-air, Brad looks to be making a beeline for Rogers. At the last millisecond, Rogers rolls out of the way, however, and Brad hits the dirt. Before he can get his breath back, Rogers is the one going to the top rope.
LeRay: Show him how it's done!
As Rogers makes the buck leap, it's Brad's turn to grab the rope and pull his way to safety. Rogers lands with a thump and Brad leaps to the top of the turnbuckle.
Round and around they go. One jumps, the other dodges, one jumps, the other gets their knees up, jump, roll, jump, pull, jump, slide.
Brad finally gets a kick into Roger's head before making his final attempt. He's calling for the elbow, going high, ready to end this. Brad jumps.
Time slows to a crawl. Rogers is staring upwards, his eyes bleary. He sees the sweaty shape of Brad float through the air. He can't dodge again, he needs to finish this.
LeRay: Rogers!
As Brad reaches the apex of his jump, Rogers is up. The Crimson Corsair is to his feet, becoming airborne, grabbing Brad in a warm embrace. Both men fall and Brad takes the brunt of it.
Beeman: Reverse STO! From the top rope! I've never seen it before! LeRay: Someone get the pin!
But both men are down, both having taken a brutal bump. The hard cam shows no movement other than the heaving of their chests. A chant rises and falls.

Both men are stirring slowly Rogers reaching for the ropes and pulling himself to a corner. Bradley rolling over to his back, then slowly to his stomach.
The fans can be heard to chant "Bad-Luck-Bradley" "R-P-R" "Bad-Luck-Brad-Leeee" "R-P-R"
LeRay: A testament to how both of these men have connected with the JWA faithful, the fans are cheering for them both! Beeman: I guess all the fans are idiots too!
Slowly, Rogers lifts himself, up to standing, pained in the corner...Bradley is up to his knees and Rogers knows he has to make another move to finish the job he climbs the turnbuckle.
LeRay: After all those flying nothings, I can't believe it but Rogers is going for one more! Beeman: Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result...I always told you Rogers was crazy...and ugly.
Rogers reaches the top signals and leaps for another Cliffs of Insanity and he catches Bradley knocking him down again.
LeRay: He hits it! Cover...count...1...2...3!!!
The crowd cheers, and Beeman groans. Rogers gets to his knees as the Color Crew comes in to join him. A few look angrily at Bradley but Rogers shakes them off and calls for the microphone.
RPR: It must be said, there is no one, on all the seven seas like Bad Luck Bradley. (Crowd Cheers) I would sooner take a wrecking ball to the Sistine Chapel than add an extra attack on you Brad. But hear me now, if you wish to honor the Red Pirate legacy, or wear the mask...remember that when you do, you don't serve your own interests, you serve the people, and those in need. That is why, I am forever...(the crowd finishes "At Your Command" and the crew helps Rogers exit the ring and make his way to the back.
