I tried, but it says that I need to rank the card up first.
To rank up a card you first need to max out all stats.
So I think it'll take a while before I can change gimmicks.

I don't think we can change them until post beta Either that or it just doesn't work for me

Tried to add pictures but the boards won't let me right now for some reason. However I have unlocked Gunslinger's alt: Pale Rider. His bio changes as well as faction.

How many "years" did it take you to unlock Gunslinger? Those steps you mentioned seem daunting and time consuming.

How many "years" did it take you to unlock Gunslinger? Those steps you mentioned seem daunting and time consuming. Did it in year 1, but only because I switched some tokens to cash and used the paid training features to level all the points to max. For those that don't know about this new feature, you can go to a separate section called "Train", and pay for classes. "Wrestling Practice" gives you one skill point up, "Promo Class" adds one mic point, and "Acting Lessons" give an increase to pop. The cost goes up as the status does. For instance it costs $5,000 per point on a jobbers where as it is $20,000 per point on an Upper Midcard, and $40,000 per point on Main Eventers. So, like I said not cheap if you rush it. However, you can still do like you can in 80sMWR, where you randomly get a skill up from matches, mic from mic spots, and pop from skits, meaning if you're patient it's free except the token to upgrade status. Hope the way I laied this out makes sense.

I don't think we can change them until post beta Either that or it just doesn't work for me Works but not cheap. First you have to max the skill, mic, and pop for the current status. Next you must upgrade the status to the next highest status, where more points become available in skill, mic, pop. Then, if the wrestler has not achieved main event status yet, repeat the first two steps until you get them to main eventer. Finally you use the gimmick token to unlock the alt To be clear, there is no Main Event requirement. What's required to unlock a new gimmick is maxing out a Wrestler's current stats (same way you would to unlock Merch in 8MWR). You could do this the natural way, or by using Training (for any of the 3 stats). Once they're maxed, it costs 1 Token to upgrade them to the next higher status. You can then optionally unlock an alternate Gimmick for a cost of 1 Gimmick Point.

So if I’m understanding correctly, no wrestlers are Main Eventers or Legendary by default, but it’s up to us to determine who to push to that level if we desire?

It really feels this way, at best I've found upper mids in the shop, whether that's because they haven't released any Main event or legendary cards or because you are correct remains to be seen

I can confirm that Upper Midcard is the highest level you can get in the shop, you have to build your own Main Eventers. I kinda like that, makes much more sense this way.
