The multiple references the wrestlers have is this game is very creative. It's probably my favorite aspect of the game. Here's a few I noticed that I didn't see listed yet:
Drool: In addition to Sloth from The Goonies, also resembles the Toxic Avenger from the Tromaville movies
Jessie Wild: Of course Marty Jannety, but also Uncle Jessie from Full House tv show
Lyndi Harker: I think the Lyndi name is a reference to Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman in the 70s)
Big Boss Jr. : As already stated, Boss Hogg, but also Col. Parker and name is a reference to Big Boss Man
Pat Cabbage: Cabbage Patch/Garbage Pail Kids, but I'm sure there are others
It would be cool to find which character has the most references over all of their gimmicks. Max Attack has quite a few, Little Mac from Punch Out, Ryu , Daniel LaRusso, Pit Fighter arcade game(his tag team name)

I would have to say that Brit Buckingham is actually Gentleman Chris Adams... May be but it seems to lean more towards William Regal. Probably an amalgam. but Brit Buckingham....Buckingham Palace.....where the royals live......royal=regal...... also the stats Brit is 6'4" 250 lbs Regal 6'3" 243 lbs compared to Adams 6'1" 230 lbs And not that it seems to matter but Adams debuted in 1978, Regal in 1983. His outfit seems to be a hybrid of the Blue Bloods & the British Bulldog (90s) but here's something else...... he looks a lot like Fit Finlay in the face and his pose is identical to Lord Alfred Hayes in this pic yourwrestlingworld.weebly.com/uploads/9/0/2/8/9028146/5234339.jpg?0Hayes is the only one billed from London as well. his finisher the Britain Bulldog is likely more a reference to the actual dog than the tag team since the Dobermans are a direct reference to the British Bulldogs. So he seems to be a catch all for British wrestlers

Heres some theres still some confusion about or havent been listed
El Presidente - Looks like Santo's mask with Mil Mascaras colors. Dandelion - no doubt Gwen Stefani Freedom Fighter - its still Hammerhead which was Ivan Drago but wearing Rocky Balboa's attire He-Beast the Barbarian - yes it's He-Man and Conan but also Beastmaster Lyndi Harker - Wendi Richter but with a nod to Cyndi Lauper in the name. Lyndi=Cyndi, Harker=Lauper Moon Man - Neil Armstrong coming out of retirement Trixie - obviously inspired by Sailor Moon....as for an actual wrestler hard to tell unless it's Mariko Yoshida. She debuted in 1988 the same as Trixie. Troglo - This may be more a reference to the movie Caveman specifically John Matusczak's character Tonda The Mullets - Dukes of Hazzard for sure but also 80s era teams like the Moondogs and the Hillbillies. Cletus looks just like Jeff Foxworthy Zap - Pretty much the Turbo character from Breaking 2 Electric Boogaloo Zombie Skater - Going by just description it's a reference to the Zombies Ate My Neighbors video game. He has a feud with Dirk Dungeon where it says he ate one of his neighbors Ruffian - Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds
