Arizona’s Digifoto Live
Arizona is in his customary location. The JWA World Title is conspicuous by its absence from the frame. Arizona is back to his normal beige fedora and jacket.
“Folks, I’m running this live message so you can see in real time, without editing, where I stand. I’m savvy enough to know some of you will analyze this message frame by frame— you’ll confirm for those who have doubts that I’m being truthful.
Stanley— you’ve earned a title shot. I have absolutely no idea how you didn’t win our block. You were dynamite in that ring in both matches, even before I made the huge mistake of calling out the Nightmare.
I need to apologize to you in particular. I let my pride, my insecurities, and my vanity change me. You followed my fake crusade, and I didn’t give it a second thought. I tried to manipulate you for my own gain. And for that, I truly apologize, and humbly ask your forgiveness.
You’ll also notice that my title is absent from this message. It’s because I earned it the wrong way, in a way that is unbecoming of a champion. So, I had a long talk with Kip, and I have vacated my world title, and the belt is currently safely at JWA HQ. It’s like a good friend of mine recently reminded me— principles aren’t principles until it costs you something.
We will still have a match at The Nightmare Before Christmas, and it will still be for the world title. But I will have to earn it back with a victory. If you win, you’re the champion. If it’s a draw, the title remains vacant, and we’ll let Kip decide what he wants to do going forward.
I’ve been no champion. I’ve been a chump, and I’m sorry to have let the fans and my colleagues down.”
Arizona gets up and walks off screen. The audio is still able to be heard.
“Are we clear? Thanks for filming that Ronnie. That was tough.”
“I knew you were a better man than you’ve been. I never lost faith in you,” Veronica’s voice says off camera.
“You could have, and maybe should have, but you stood by me. Thank you.”
“Get your head off my shoulder, you emotional goof. Your tears are ruining my shirt!” Laughter can be heard off screen.
“Ronnie, the red light is still on. Are we still running? Oh shi—“

"Thanks Reb-chan. Arizona-san, I watched your digiphoto. I understand your frustration and I accept your apology. Now it is up to the fans to see if they can accept it also. I hope you'll find that they are just as forgiving. I have to deal with bloodthirsty so called fans also, as you probably heard in the last Chief Buffalo fight."
"Look, every person on the planet has a dark side. And your not excluded from that fact. We try to hide the dark side most of the time. Civilization punishes people whose dark side takes over. There are also aspects of society which celebrate the dark side. Just ask the fans who chant 'Nightmare Ginzu' when I walk down to the ring. But in some anime, early villains turn over new a leaf. It is never too late to make amends."
Rebecca comes in from behind the camera set up. "And some people have an open dark side and a secret light side. Just look at my family."
Stanley resumes. "When the time comes, we would want you and Veronica-san at my wedding. If you can't get a sitter I'm sure we can have a place to keep Maddy-chan occupied. The Mullet farm is a huge place after all. I just hope nobody brings shotguns..."

Frankly, it's insulting. @your command on Chirpy Apologies for offending you, though we all know it's hardly the first time I've been insulting. But to be clear, my job is literally to wrestle: that's the contract. Winning and titles don't factor in the job description. Kip Whistler makes sure I don't go hungry if I have a run of bad luck. Perhaps, I could make more if I won more, but I live well, and what's more, I don't depend on circumstances beyond my control to determine my worth or happiness. Each man laces them up for a different reason, but I won't lie about mine. |

My job isn't to win (or there be a 'I can not lose' Hogan clause in the contract). It is to make the fans happy. Like I made no secret over, I have some mental issues, and sometimes the drugs I have to take to keep things in check can muddle things up. And also my Mu state training."

Red is looking at his phone as he steps into Killie's, sending a text to Mack Caliber.
"Seriously, it's fine, nothing a hot shower and a solid massage can't help. I'm sorry to have dragged what should have been backstage rib or a talk over drinks into the ring. You deserved the win tonight and the title shot too.
Next order of business, planning for Yuppie and Pierre. Talk soon, kid"
He pockets the phone and grabs the quinine from the bar, hoping to spot Pierre in the room.

I hope I don't have to wait until the next episode of Glory to find out if Red & Mack accept my challenge. Since Red doesn't consider winning titles to be his job, he probably won't have a problem with me and my Enormous friend taking them away. I grow impatient.

Arizona debarks his plane. What looks like Kanji script is adorning the walls of the airport.
“Arizona-san?” A young man maybe 20 years of age clad in all white greets him with a handshake and a bow. Arizona bows respectfully, while the young man’s head seems to almost touch the ground. “My master wishes me to tell you that you have shown great wisdom in seeking his counsel. He has agreed to teach you what you need to know for a future favor.”
“That is the agreement. Will you show me to the transportation to your dojo?” Arizona followed the young man through the busy airport.
