Johnny Kobra walks into Killies without Zoe think just as Arizona’s thing ends and looks a little confused but then tells Jackson to keep bringing him beers to put on his tab. Kobra who was nice very happy looks somewhat depressed because obviously something backstage happened between him and Penguino.

[Dark Mauler]

*In his hotel room after the match, we find Tommy End has removed his mask and set it on a table across the room. Tommy is staring at the mask with what can only be described as revulsion.*
Tommy End: What was your plan there, Demon. To fill me with so much rage that I missed the ring count? You claim to want me to win this tournament, but how can I do that when I’m being sabotaged by the same power I accepted to win it?
Red Oni: Calm down, Tommy. You just need to find the balance between the mist’s effect and your own skills. Find the balance and you’ll discover what you need to win this tournament.

[Duke Mongoose]

Honest Sal: I'm here with Duke Mongoose, who has requested this interview time. Duke, what's on your mind?

Duke Mongoose: Well, Sally boy, I'll tell you. I'd like to announce that I'm going to be filing a formal protest against Chief Buffalo's participation in the J-1 tournament. The man is a reckless menace and he's putting everyone's lives in danger!

Sal: We saw you high-tail it out of the ring and take a count-out loss while Buffalo continued to rampage in the ring. At times it looked like you might have had the match won. Why run?

Duke: Discretion is the better part of valor, Sal. Only a fool would stay in the ring and take potentially career-ending injury when he has the option to live to fight another day. There's still plenty of time for Big Daddy Duke to turn things around and win this thing. I most certainly couldn't do that with a broken leg, back, or trachea!

Sal: Your next opponent is Pierre The Enormous, coming fresh off something of an upset victory over Arizona Chance. Thoughts?

Duke: I'll prove to that big load and everyone watching at home that his victory over Chance was a FLUKE! I don't care if he's nine feet tall. I didn't know they stacked crap that high! Everyone is just one Cobra Clutch away from taking a nap, Sal!

Sal: Let me guess, I'd better call my-

Duke: CALL YOUR GRANDMOTHER! THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER!

(Duke begins aggressively posing)

Big Japan Legend Hito Kizuato In Critical Condition Thanks To Former Protégé, Conor Caine

After his attack at the hands of The Compound last week, including a Sudden Death from his former pupil Conor Caine (AKA Brother Conor), Hito Kizuato is reportedly in critical condition in the local medical facility.

The situation looks dire, as Wrestle Watcher Weekly’s James Seltzer has posted a chirp stating that Kizuato is in a coma and paralyzed from the neck down.

We send our best wishes to Kizuato for a speedy recovery.

Toni Cruise is waiting backstage outside a private locker room before JWA Glory takes place as she has an exclusive interview lined up with "Lord" Taylor Thorin.  Two burly security guards are currently stood in front of the door.  Tembleberry walks out of the locker room, looks around as if checking for something, before seeing Toni and beckoning her in.  The security guards part to allow Toni and her crew though.

Inside the locker room we see a plush scene.  It is made up with all the comforts you can imagine, including a small buffet table for Thorin's own use (so he doesn't have to associate with the others at catering).  But it is the scene off to the left that catches everyone's attention.  "Lord" Thorin is in front of a full length mirror, dressed as what we can only assume is a Navy Officer from the 17th Century, complete with cutlass, which Thorin is currently swinging around as if he is in a duel.

THORIN: "You fight like a dairy Farmer!"  (more dueling maneuvers)  "How appropriate. You fight like a cow!"

Tembleberry coughs to get Thorin's attention.  Thorin finishes off with a fancy flourish of the cutlass before he sheathes it and turns to where Toni is waiting.

TEMBLEBERRY: "Ms Cruise as arranged sir".

THORIN: "Well Ms Cruise, you asked for this time.  I hope you're going to be quick as you can see I am busy prepping for my match tonight!"

Tembleberry looks visibly unsure/dismayed/embarressed of what's going on in front of him as Toni steps forward, mic in hand.

CRUISE: "Thank you Lord Thorin for this time.  I was just hoping to get your thoughts on tonight's opponent, the current JWA World Champion Red Pirate Roberts"

THORIN: "Ah yes, the notorious Pirate Rogers!  The scourge of the seven seas!  This man's exploits are legendary, but do you know who brings and end to the pirate menace Ms Cruise?  That's right, the great and honorable fighting men of the British Royal Navy.  I'm sure, with my lineage, you can trace my ancestors back to some of the greats of the so called Golden Age of Piracy, putting and end to Pirate scum like Rogers."

In the background, Tembleberry shakes his head in disagreement, mouthing what looks to be on the lines of "your ancestors don't come from anywhere near Great Britain".  Thorin is oblivious and continues.

"So it has now fallen to me to put the beginnings of an end to this new age of piracy.  Rogers steals victories each and every week.  It cannot be allowed to continue Ms Cruise!  The law is the law.  And tonight, the Pirate Rogers will be jolly no more.  Avast Ms Cruise!"

With that, Thorin turns back to the mirror and unsheathes the cutlass, going back to practicing his dueling as Tembleberry politely and apologetically escorts Toni out of the locker room.

THORIN: "This is the END for you, you gutter crawling cur!"

THE REHABILITATION OF CONOR CAINE.

The room is a familiar one: dark, dank, lit by a single bulb. Standing mid-cam is Insane, his robe on, a manical grin on his face, his greasy, crooked teeth peeking out from behind his overgrown whiskers.

Insane: I am Insane. Welcome to the Compound.

He steps to one side to reveal Brother Conor sitting bemasked in a chair. His ankles and wrists are wrapped in leather belts. Behind him, ever present, ever looming, is Brother Seph.

Insane: Brother Conor is bound here, yet not resisting. The reasons for this will be shown shortly. When I last showed Conor Caine the acts that he had committed as Brother Conor, he rebelled, lashing and whipping. This will not happen with his current bindings. You may well call this torture, inhumane or cruel and unusual but it is not, I swear it. He is safe and sound. You can trust me, of course.

Insane moves towards the camera and it shuffles, jerkily. An old CRT television glows in front of Brother Conor. Insane nods to Brother Seph, who holds onto Brother Conor's shoulders. With a flash, Insane whips off Brother Conor's mask. His eyes, bright but with drooping lids, focus on the light emitting from the television. A mix of static imagery, grainy black and white stills and footage of Caine attacking and brutalising other wrestlers both in the JWA, Big Japan and beyond. Civilian camera video mixes with official footage. Conor starts to struggle. Brother Seph holds him still, moving a hand to his hair to grab a fist. The tortured Relentless One's eyes are wide open to stare at the screen like a clockwork orange.

Insane: This is you. The real you. The wicked you. The murderous you. Look what you have done.

Caine witnesses his attack on Hito Kizuato. Chesterton's flinch. The resulting mess of bodies. He screams in exquisite agony.

Insane: Look, Caine. Look what your careless hands hath wrought.

Conor Caine thrashes, he wails, he batters as much as he can. A creak split the air as the wooden chair upon which he sits begins to crack with the force of its occupant. Brother Seph is unmoving. Insane lowers the mask over Caine's face and he instantly stills. The leader of the Compound looks into the camera.

Insane: Behold the raw power of Conor Caine. The ruthless aggression. The anger, the fire and the flame. And when it is gone, all that is left... is Ashe.

The feed cuts.

What You Didn't See Happen After Glory And What It Means

    Wrestling is a very interesting concept and also a very hidden one. This story for example was hidden behind for only the people live to watch as the show went off air before it happened but that does not mean that it should be disregarded as this could one hundred percent have a positive negative or insane impact on everything right now that is going on in the JWA. The company itself seems to be in a very interesting position in itself considering the fact that half the things going on are unknown by the company as far as we know which makes it seem like Kip Whistler is a complete idiot. but as for what happened after Glory. After the show went on air a tape showed on the titantron of Johnny Kobra and Penguino arguing again however this time it was different every member as far as we know of penguin kai was there and they seem spectacle about if Johnny Kobra is up to something.

    So how does this affect the future of the JWA itself. Now i see this happening in several ways, example one Johnny Kobra leaves the JWA as he has nothing left to do with it now that Penguino does not want him anymore. Example two is that Johnny Kobra is upset and gathers his old high school buddies vs Penguino and his family in a huge multi man team match with a possible stipulation of loser leaves or something like that. And example three that everything goes back to normal as it was before this altercation that has been going on between them. 

    This could mean absolutely nothing at the same time though because the show went off air before this happened so this could've been a little skit to try and prank us all the entire time. Now the support of this theory is mostly that these too have never had a major conflict on camera and they could easily just be fake screaming at each other as no one understands when Penguino's beak is moving or not and they've never heard Johnny Kobra from the corner.

    The final thing I will mention about this feud is how I hope that other people come in to get involved in this sort of story like Penguino's family and Johnny's old friends. I think that most people would agree with me that we need more interaction with other people in type's of things like this and the JWA needs to give the people what they want.

    Now I don't expect to see much more on this topic on this website especially about this storyline however I have a very good relationship with Dan Mixer if you want me to see if we could talk about it with him or even do a fantasy booking on how this storyline should turn out before or after the story ends.
 No matter what happens with these two there is no doubt that they will continue to entertain whether it be here in the JWA or somewhere else like in japan in different promotions. I think that this has been a very entertaining story going on and look forward to see how it will continue to unfold throughout the J-1 and throughout possibly the rest of the year

“Daddy pway wegos? Daddy hurt?” A genuine look of concern was across Madison’s face.

Arizona picked up his daughter in his locker room. “Maddie… it’s complicated. But let’s go home. It’s really late for you to be up.” The Chance family headed out of his locker room and down the hall toward the exit of the JWA studios, when down the hall, the corridor suddenly darkened. A ferocious bellow echoed down the hallway, and the dark figure behind the noise stampeded toward the Chance family with reckless abandon.

Arizona shoved his family into back into his locker room, but could not dodge the charge himself. Chief Buffalo stood over the prone, broken body of the Franchise, but a shadowy figure appeared and whispered something into Buffalo’s ear, and he slowly shuffled away.

“HELP! HELP!” screamed Veronica, as Doc Simpson and several staff members arrived to tend to Chance.

[Duke Mongoose]

(Toni Cruise is in the backstage area outside of the locker rooms)

Toni: The third round of the J-1 Pinnacle is in the books and I'm hoping to get some comments from the participants as they exit the building.

(The locker room door flies open and Duke Mongoose steps out, dressed in his finest monstrosity)

Toni: Duke, can I get a word? Tough break tonight against Pierre.

Duke: Toni, "tough break" doesn't begin to describe it. A giant belched in my face. REPEATEDLY! Then he squeezed me so hard I thought I might need to get new britches. REPEATEDLY! And if all of that wasn't enough, he sat on me for the pinfall!

Toni: Definitely not a shining moment in your legendary career.

Duke: You can say that again. I'm pretty sure he passed gas during the three count! I'm sure he was having a real good chuckle about it.

(Toni attempts to stifle her laughter)

Duke: Oh, you think this is funny, Toni? Well let me tell you something that isn't funny: I may not be able to win this tournament, but I can damn sure ruin it for someone else! Next week is going to be a repeat of the last time old bird brain and I were in the ring together, and after that I'm going to put an end to Arizona's crusade for the gold! Are you still laughing, Toni?

Toni: (attempting to compose herself) I'm sorry. I just... I can't... (breaks out laughing again)

Duke: Oh yeah, having a giant man sit on your chest and fart is REAL FUNNY, Toni! Why don't you tell me how funny it is the next time it happens to you! You need to go call your grandmother. This interview is over!

(Duke storms off. Toni regains her composure)

Veronica Chance is seated in a high back leather chair, with an antique highball glass next to her on an oak end table. Plaques and shadowboxes highlighting Arizona’s achievements line the wall behind her.

“Last week, Chief Buffalo attacked my husband, Arizona Chance, in the back hallway of the JWA Studios. Due to his bravery, I’m talking to you today, as he pushed me and our daughter out of the way of the Buffalo Charge that took him out.

Buffalo did this at the request of a shadowy figure who has been calling the shots. That figure turned out to be the woman that I introduced to Red Pirate Rogers, none other than someone who I thought was my friend, Jessie.

So, Jessie, you may think you’ve backed the winner. You may think you’ve managed to get one over on us. But that ends now. I’ll be at ringside at Glory for your man’s match against my husband— and guess what? Your little stunt didn’t do anything. Arizona is fine. Right honey?”

Arizona enters the shot and stands behind Veronica, who continues. “I BACKED THE WINNER. I’ve backed the winner for the last twenty years. Arizona will win at Glory, and he will win this tournament. And I’ll make sure you don’t interfere.

I know Red is too much of a gentleman to exact any revenge, but I’m no gentleman. Jessie, you’re going to get what’s coming to you, cause no one takes out b****es like Veronica Chance.”

BAD LUCK BRADLEY DOES A RESEARCH.

Toni Cruise is smiling into the camera.

Toni: Hi there grapple-fans, Toni Cruise here, Sunday Night Sports Entertainment. The man? Bad Luck Brad. The challenger? Pierre the Enormous. The quandary? How will Brad take down this mountain of a man.

Brad slides into frame, a sheaf of papers in his mitts, smeared already with his sweaty leavings.

Brad: Concise, Tommy, yeah, concise and short and sweet just like you, yeah, can you dig it?
Toni: Can I dig-?
Brad: Can you dig, yeah, can you grok, is it your ken, yeah, knowin' and flowin', growin' and showin'.
Toni: I don't-

Bradley shakes the papers in his hands.

Brad: Let me tell you what this is, brothers, yeah, you know what this is? This here is a rag sheet, brother, yeah, I got this faxed over to the local library from Cincinnati! Yeah, collect call, long distance, no charge, I asked and they responded, yeah.
Toni: So, uh, what is this? What was sent from Cincinnati?
Brad: Thanks for asking Tommy and I'm gonna tell ya. I've been watching you, giant, I've been checking your video tapes and asking folk about you and I seen you squeeze that damn, dirty, sparkle-eyed lothario Juicy Mongoosey for all he's worth and I saw and heard and smelled the gasses you emitted when doing so and let me tell you, big guy, I ain't letting that happen to me, no how.
Toni: So, the papers?
Brad: The papers, yeah.
Toni: How do they help you in your match with Pierre? Do they show a weakness of some kind?
Brad: Oh they show more than that, Tommy.

Brad stares right into the camera, eyes wide.

Brad: Let me tell you, champ, I ain't gonna be squashed, nope, I know that when I get into the ring I'm free game and you can tie me up like a pretzel if you want and there ain't nothin' I can do about it. I can talk a big game and use falsehoods to give myself an edge but I'll not be helpin' myself, yeah. I'll lose friends, I'll lose trust and, more importantly, I'll lose respect for myself. Nope, I'm gonna call it how I see it, how I always do, straight down the middle, do my job, put anyone who needs it over but this...

He shakes the papers once again.

Brad: This tells me just how I can make you hurt brother! And I know all about you and your wacky gang, yeah, from the past, yeah. I know about that fancy woman you were after. I know about the doctors and the hunters. I know about your pig friends and that monster from Tasmania. I know it all, Jack, and I've got a bunch of laserdiscs full of your old shows and I'm gonna watch them and come ready next week. Dig it!

He disappears into fat air. All that is left is the papers, billowing to the ground. One lands in Toni's hair as she turns to the camera.

Toni: Uh, that's all from me, Toni Cruise, Sunday-

She pulls the sheet of paper from her hair and looks at it. Her eyes widen. She shouts off screen.

Toni: Brad! Brad! You spelled his name wrong! It's Pierre. Pierre, not Pepi!

The video ends.

"I've stayed away from social media for the past week under the advice that if you don't have anything positive to say, don't say anything at all.

But I will say this before tonight.

Tommy, I hold you in high regard, so I'd like to pre-emptively apologize and for venting my frustrations about a very bad week on you tonight."

Consciousness returned before the instinct to open his eyes did, but already Hito Kizuato could feel that presence in the room: an emotional weight that bore down on everything. It was a few days since doctors brought Hito out of his coma, and recovery had been going well, but he was sleeping a lot. Conor Caine spent those initial few days haunting the corridor outside, his shame like a troubled spirit shackled to this world by an event it longed to resolve. That spirit was in the room now, as was Conor; hunched over in his chair, staring at his feet. So absorbed was he in guilt, that he didn’t see his old mentor open his eyes…

“Visiting hours are over.” Hito smirked.
Conor’s gaze didn’t leave the floor. Maybe he did notice Hito wake up after all: “I told them I was your son.”
Hito allowed a soft chuckle, “That might have been true once… for a previous incarnation of Conor Caine.”

The sound of breath catching in Conor’s chest told Hito that his words had wounded his once-protégé. Conor fumbled with his hands, perhaps hoping that he could squeeze from his meaty fingers the words that his shame would not allow his mouth to utter. Consonants fought their way to his lips before being swallowed back down to where his self loathing lived.

“You’re not responsible for what happened to me,” Hito told him. He had to speak a comforting truth, so that Conor might open up to a more painful one next. “I chose to come here when I saw that Insane had returned, when I saw that he had finally conquered you. I understood the risks to my health and my life, but I decided to come regardless, to honour the relationship we once had.”
Hito continued, “Just like it was your choice to pursue vengeance against Insane in the beginning, a choice which lead you on the path that brought me here to this hospital bed.”

Finally some words escaped Caine’s lips, “I remember what you told me back then…”

“It is not the bite that kills you,” Hito repeated the adage, “it is chasing the snake who bit you that drives the venom to your heart.”

Caine nodded, he heaved in a sigh in order to bury any sobs: “I don’t need to tell you that you were right… and I always knew that you were… I can only apologise for always choosing to listen to myself instead, for choosing vengeance. Know that I would always have rather died than do this to you.”

“You were always willing to choose death over disgrace, Conor,” Hito told him, “That’s your flaw. There’s no glory in stubbornness, only in growth. So, what are you going to do now?”

“I don’t know,” Caine replied, “Insane is gone, and I’m grateful. I’ve finally hit bottom and I’m done chasing vengeance. I have a lot of bridges to rebuild, but I’m worried Hito: I’m worried that the venom is too much a part of me now. That I’m beyond redemption.”

“Stubbornness again. You may be changed by what you’ve been through, permanently even, but that does not stop you from growing; only you can hold yourself back.”

Conor nodded, he finally hazarded a glance in Hito’s direction and saw his master smiling at him. Conor allowed a smile to break through, and a tear followed.

“Will you continue in the J-1?” Hito asked, bringing himself up to a seated position in the bed.
“I think so, I don’t know what else to do right now.” Conor replied.
“Who’s your next opponent?”
“‘Lord’ Taylor Thorin,” said Conor, “An odd guy, a little cowardly: I’ve never seen him actually wrestle much but he wins, a lot.”
“Well,” said Hito, “Doesn’t that show you, there are more ways to achieve your goals than being ‘Relentless’?”
Caine didn’t say anything, only nodded; he had something to reflect on. He brought his eyes back up from the floor and Hito saw a flash of his old apprentice in them. It was late, they said their goodbyes, and Conor left the room much lighter than when he had entered.

They both were.
