Weekend Wrasslin’ 11/20/82 Boston Arena Great Crowd/46/***
1. We open with a video with Average Guy shot off-site. He says he’s in recovery from the attack by BASILISK. The injuries they caused were pretty severe, and he would require more time away from the ring. He said that he purposely avoided getting involved with BASILISK, as he spent much of last year fighting The Coalition at the expense of his own goals. He didn’t mind helping out, but he didn’t want to get tied up in another similar situation this time around. Plus, He-Beast, Brohan, and the others seem to have it well in hand. Now, though, it’s out of his hands. BASILISK struck first, and he will be fighting back. As for them targeting him because he embarrassed Countess’ colleagues…too bad. He was “having fun with Sleeze and they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Besides, it’s not like anybody’s going to feel too bad for a group that identifies with international terrorists.”
2. The Shark over the Annihilator and Ninja Star. He won after a Great White Strike on Annihilator after a Roboelectro distraction.
3. Glam and Mynx over the Queen of Mean and Chaka Crass.
4. Reptile Ranger over Keith Blood with the Gargoyle.
5. Max Attack over GoblinKnight.
6. Iron Mask and Copper Commander come out with a BASILISK flag. They compare their loyalty to BASILISK like one’s loyalty to his country. They aren’t citizens of any nation, or even citizens of Earth. They bleed BASILISK. They are part of something which transcends this mortal coil. To challenge them is to court your own annihilation.
7. The American Heroes over The Gramercy Riffs. In a post-match interview, Soul Daddy starts talking about privilege and opportunity. He says the Heroes were born with it, and the Riffs were denied it. This is their advantage. It’s not based on skill, it’s based on people looking down on those who are different and not giving them a fair shake in life. Call it what you want, but WoW is overflowing with people trying to keep them down. He says that it will not stand.
8. Countess, Gorgon Tokoro, and Succubus are out. Countess says that Iron Mask explained BASILISK well. Meanwhile, Average Guy has stuck his hand in the hornet’s nest due to antagonizing BASILISK. Guy’s thoughts and opinions on BASILISK personnel are as irrelevant as he is. There will be recompense for his hateful mocking of Tokoro and Succubus. Sge then refers to the upcoming match which has Dr. B challenging for the TV title. Originally, she said they would not be pursuing titles aside from the WoW World title. However, they’ve decided to refocus their efforts for logistical reasons. The crowd, meanwhile, starts chanting, “Slashmaster Scares You.”
9. Dr. B, representing BASILISK, won the TV Title from Fireball. El Presidente comes out and makes fun of the frustrated Fireball.

Survival of the Fittest 11/28/82 The Puro Dome Great Crowd 7800/49/***
1. In the first match of the night, Jessie Wild successfully defended the Cruiserweight Title against his tag team partner, Chet Skye. The match was a high-flying masterpiece, and both men fought fair and square. After the match, Jessie said that he looked forward to defending against Chet back home. Chet made a shocking announcement. He told Jessie and everyone watching that he wasn’t going home. He’d made a deal with the WoW office that if he didn’t win the title at this show, then he would buy out what’s left of his contract so he could sign with the Japanese promotion, Mega Puro. Jessie was stunned, but said he understood. The two friends embraced for a long time before heading to the back together as the crowd chanted “Ne-On…Ne-On”
2. In the first Survival of the Fittest Match of the night, Jet Set Strutter and Wall Street defeated the Van Winkles. JSS and Devin were the final two, and JSS pinned Devin for the first time.
3. Roboelectro, a favorite in Japan, came to the ring and called out The Annihilator. He said that his recent upgrades had rendered him virtually invincible, and said he wanted another cage match with Annihilator. He said that “men of metal should fight in metal.” Annihilator accepted.
4. In the Ladies’ Survival Match, The BASILISK team of Countess, Succubus, and Gorgon Tokoro defeated Aurora, Lyndi Harker, and Gothica. Countess was the sole survivor.
5. Mother Russia demanded some time to speak. She said that she’d gotten little attention since winning the title because the office doesn’t like her. They still hold the Coalition against her. She’s the first woman to beat a man one-on-one, and nobody talks about it. WoW is embarrassed by the way O’ Hooligan, their tough guy, couldn’t handle the loss. It doesn’t matter though, because the title confirms what people should know…she’s the best lady wrestler in the business today. Finally, she warns Countess. She says that they crossed paths a long time, and nothing good came of it. She laughs at Countess’ warning to stay out of BASILISK business. “The only reason that I’ve chosen to do so is because you aren’t worth my time. I’m actually pulling for you to win the Tournament of Queens in one month. I want you to win the title shot so I can put you down hard.”
6. In the final Survival Match, Dude Brohan, He-Beast, and Ninja Star defeated the male BASILISK contingent of Dr. B, Copper Commander, and Iron Mask. Brohan was the sole survivor.
7. In a WoW World Title Match, Slashmaster defeated Dicky Thunderbird. Thunderbird’s choice as challenger was dictated by his overwhelming popularity in Japan. The choice proved to be an inspired one as Thunderbird came closer to defeating Slash than any prior challengers. After the match, The Valedictorian came out. He attacked Thunderbird and smashed him in the throat with the ring bell. Thunderbird spent two days in a Japanese hospital, and it was a full week after everyone else came home that he was able to fly.

Superstar Saturday 12/4/82 Chitown Complex 1228/45/**
1. Glam upsets Gorgon Tokoro in the opener.
2. War Hawk, with Danger Zone, over Soul Daddy, with Johnny Kobra. After the loss, SD launched into a rant on the systemic oppression of people from the streets. Hawk told him that we’re just here to win matches. There’s no hidden agenda. SD replies that “of course the person from the group charged with keeping that agenda hidden would say that.”
3. Barbaric Nature, with Ryan Regret, are backstage. He asks his team if they want to see what catering has out. They take a brief walk and enter a room with people milling about tables eating. Everyone in the room appears to be office or production as no wrestlers are present. Ryan tells his team “Bon Appetit”. The Arab and Troglo attack the buffet tables like animals. They eat straight from the chafing dishes. They bite food and put it back, and both are slobbering over everything. The diners rush out of the room and only Regret and BN are left. Troglo offers Regret a bite of a big piece of meat that he’s already been gnawing on. Regret dry heaves and puts his hand up in “No thank you” gesture. Regret looks at the camera. “The team of Barbaric Nature that you saw last year was nothing compared to the savages that I’ve turned them into. These “men” view a wrestling match like they viewed this buffet. Their opponents are these whole chickens…these steaks…you’re food people. Something to be devoured. Shop of Horrors, Blasters, Hn’R, any team out there. Look at what they’ve done to this simple eatery.” The Arab grabbed a chafing dish and threw the water in Troglo’s face. Troglo screamed and laughed. Regret continued, “that water was scalding hot, and Troglo laughed it off. Feeling pain is alien to these animals, but causing it is instinct.”
4. 8-Bit over Ghoul n’ Goblin.
5. Keith Blood over Dungeon Crawler.
6. Michael T. Wolf over Blade Blaster Lazer.
7. Pelvis Presley, with Big Boss Jr., over Chameleon Kid. Boss was later heard admonishing his client, telling him that he was getting out of shape . 8. Succubus over Gothica in an amazing No-Holds-Barred match.
9. In a match to determine Slash’s next challenger, Dude Brohan defeated Jet Set Strutter and Devin Van Winkle (subbing for Dicky Thunderbird).

Sunday Night Slam 12/12/82 Boston Arena Great Crowd 910/46/**
1. The Annihilator defeated Arizona Chance and The Shark in a 3-Way match. The Shark took the pin via Total Termination.
2. Chaka Crass over Glam.
3. Reptile Ranger defeated The Valedictorian via disqualification when the bell was used a weapon. Ranger avoided injury.
4. Uncle Eros is with Valley Girl and Cesar Sleeze. He’s pleading with Valley Girl to play along with this romantic relationship that they’ve been trying to build between the two. She refuses, and when Eros asks her why, she calls Sleeze “disgusting”. She and Sleeze walk off in different directions. Eros catches up to Sleeze and thanks him for acting like he really cares about her. He says that she will come around, and he walks off. Sleeze turns back to the camera with an obvious tear in his eye and says, “who’s acting?”
5. Barbaric Nature, with Ryan Regret, defeat 8-Bit. The announcers tell us that Regret was heavily fined for allowing his team to destroy the catering area last week. After the match, Regret makes a hand signal at his team. They head up the aisle and out. Regret tells the announcers to hold on. A few seconds later, Troglo and The Mad Arab return, and each is carrying a large plastic container on each shoulder. They set the containers on the announcers table, and we can see they are filled from top to bottom with pennies. Regret says that this is fine payment, and he trusts that the announcers will see that it gets to the office in a timely manner?
6. Skullgore makes his in-ring return with a win over Bobby Blitzworth. Afterwards, he brings out the Gargoyle as his new mentor.
7. El Presidente calls out Fireball. He says that of all the wrestlers in WoW, he finds Fireball to be the most unprofessional. He says Fireball’s look and appearance is a disgrace to the sport of kings, and finds it repulsive that Fireball makes money in this business. Fireball comes out. He says his look is his own, but at least he’s not ashamed of it. EP asks what he means, and Fireball says that you hide your look under a mask. EP replies that the mask is an honored tradition in the homeland, and is not to be trifled with. Fireball asks what happens if the mask comes off. EP laughs and says Fireball’s not man enough to take it. Fireball tells him to start making his post-mask plans, because it’s coming off.
8. Jet Set Strutter finally gets a clean win over Devin Van Winkle with the 6-Figure Leglock.
9. Shop of Horrors dominance continues with a successful title defense over The Blade Blasters. The beginning of the end was Skullgore’s appearance at ringside. The distracted ref took a Hatchet Chop from Slashmaster and went down. All four men plus Skullgore were fighting outside the ring. Slashmaster grabbed his machete and went after Lazer. Lazer grabbed one of giant jars of pennies off the announcers’ table and blocked the machete blow, shattering the jar and sending pennies everywhere. Lazer slipped on the pennies and fell to the ground. Meanwhile, Skullgore broke a second jar of pennies over Buzzsaw’s head. Buzzsaw was bleeding profusely from the head. Slashmaster worked over Lazer while Keith Blood put the Crucifix on Buzzsaw. Skullgore revived the ref in time for the official to declare Buzzsaw out.

Weekend Wrasslin’ 12/18/82 Canada Centre Sold Out 2285/43/***
1. Princess Starbright over Valley Girl.
2. He-Beast over Copper Commander.
3. Howl n’ Roar over Ghoul n’ Goblin. They start to leave, but Wolf wants to say something. Leo isn’t thrilled, but lets him. Wolf mocks The Blade Blasters loss to Shop of Horrors last week, and said this shows that they have no business giving advice to anyone. The Blasters were in the right place at the right time, and they caught lightning in a bottle. He said that bottle’s been shattered. You’re the wrong team regardless of time and place, and H n’ R will dethrone SoH.
4. Crash over Brit Buckingham.
5. The Blade Blasters are out. They warn Michael T. Wolf that he should listen to Leo as he’s obviously got more sense than you do. He knows not to get any more involved in Blasters’ business than they already were. Their only issue was Wolf running off his mouth for no reason, and they’ve shut it once. They change gears and talk about the upcoming year-end awards. They’ve heard a rumor that they were once shoo-ins to becomes back-to-back tag team of the year. Now, with the success of Shop of Horrors late in the year, that’s changed. Lazer says that “we dominate for 9 months, those freaks beat us, and now they’re the tag team of the year?” He accuses people of letting Slashmaster get in their heads. Buzzsaw says they WILL regain the titles, period. That’s a fact. Slashmaster may be tough, but he’s not omnipotent. Every man has a weakness and can fall. Slash is man, but nothing more. He can fall.
6. We go to a commercial for the upcoming Tournament of Queens. It features ½ of the field in Countess, Auntie Voodoo, The Queen of Mean, and Lyndi Harker. Gorgon Tokoro, Succubus, Gothica, and a surprise entrant round out the participants. Countess says she’s protesting the unknown entrant as it’s not fair. Harker says that what’s not fair is BASILISK having three people in the tournament. Auntie Voodoo guarantees her second tournament win in three years.
7. The Gramercy Riffs over The American Heroes. Soul Daddy says they’ve defied the odds to win in this discriminatory environment that is “WoW”.
8. In a No-Holds-Barred match, Gothica defeated Succubus.
9. Jessie Wild successfully defends the Cruiserweight Title against Keith Blood.

1982 WoW Year-Awards Presentation 12/27/82 Chitown Complex
For the first time, the awards presentation was open to the public. Anyone with a ticket to the Tournament of Queens gained admission.
Honest Al came out. He said that as every WoW fan knows, like it or not, 1982 was about one man. It’s time to see if that played into the awards for the year. He suspects it did.
The Nominees for the fan-voted “Most Hated” category are Iron Mask Dr. B O’ Hooligan Slashmaster El Presidente
The winner, by unanimous vote, is Slashmaster.
Slashmaster, with Gargoyle, comes out. Gargoyle says that Slash craves your hate. He feeds off it. Gargoyle encourages all the unworthy vermin out there to keep the hate coming.
Next up is the fan-voted “Most Popular” Category. The nominees are: Devin Van Winkle The Shark Lyndi Harker Arizona Chance Jessie Wild
The winner is Jessie Wild. Wild gives a short speech where he says that he can’t believe he won against all those awesome wrestlers that the fans love. He wishes that he could share this with Chet. At that point, Chet Skye comes from the back to surprise his former partner. Chet says that Mega Puro is on break, so he flew back to honor his friend.
We come to Tag Team of the Year. The nominees are: The Blade Blasters Shop of Horrors Howl n’ Roar The Van Winkles Gramercy Riffs
The winners, by one vote over The Blade Blasters, Shop of Horrors. SoH and Gargoyle come out. Gargoyle tells The Blasters not to cry like they did last week. The Shop has their titles and their awards, and that’s because they are simply the most dominant team in the history of wrestling. The Blasters and all the other teams are looking up at SoH supremacy.
Finally, Wrestler of the Year.
There was 1 nominee, Slashmaster. He comes out alone, and people wonder if he’s going to speak. Suddenly, he lifts up the wooden podium and hurls it into the crowd. Dude Brohan throws himself over his date, and the podium crashes against his back. Average Guy is the first to make it onstage, and Slash crushes him. Buzzsaw follows, and he and Slash fight on the stage. Armed security shows up, and Gargoyle appears to call off Slash. Skullgore comes out carrying the other two trophies. He smashes the Wrestler of the Year trophy with the Most Hated. Keith Blood smashes the Tag Team of the Year trophies together. Skullgore screams out that “your trinkets mean nothing to entities like us. We are as far above your sniveling need to show people fake respect as a person is to an ant. The things we value can’t be found in worthless dreck. Next year, when we sweep the awards again, spare us the time needed to destroy this item and don’t bother.

Tournament of Queens 12/28/82 Chitown Complex Great Crowd 3096/46/**
The surprise entrant was revealed to be, for one night only, Madame Tiki. Tiki’s fully recovered and ready to go. Norman stills recovering, though, and she won’t come back full-time until he can should he choose to. She did reveal that Norman was well enough for the ceremony, so they would be married on the February Feb. 13th edition of Sunday Night Slam.
1. In the first match, Madame Tiki defeats Auntie Voodoo.
2. Countess came out before the next match. She was upset that her BASILISK colleagues were being forced to compete against one another. She was used to getting her way, and this situation was not what she wanted. She would find the responsible party and make them pay. Gorgon Tokoro and Succubus did not hold back in the match to their credit. Gorgon picked up the win.
3. Countess over Lyndi Harker.
4. The Queen of Mean over Gothica.
5. In a WoW Tag title match, Shop of Horrors successfully defended against the Adventurers.
6. In the first semi-final, Madame Tiki defeated Gorgon Tokoro.
7. In the other, Countess defeated The Queen of Mean.
8. Slashmaster was back to successfully defend against Jet Set Strutter. This was supposed to be Brohan’s match, but he was injured by the thrown podium at the awards ceremony and was unable to perform. JSS said before the match that he didn’t like Brohan and Brohan didn’t like him. However, what Slash did was beyond anything he’d seen. If not for Brohan’s quick thinking, civilians could’ve been badly injured. JSS promised to win the title tonight, and give Brohan the first shot. Once again, Slashmaster came out on top.
9. In the Tournament of Queens final, Countess defeats Madame Tiki to win the tournament, the assorted cash and prizes, and the title shot.
Tiki closes the show by thanking everyone for coming, and tells them to be sure to tune in on Feb. 13th to watch her and her Norman join in holy wedlock.

1982 is in the books. Slashmaster's dominance is unbelievable. I wonder what it will take to unseat him and Shop of Horrors.
Coming in 1983...
Star Boy's stipulated suspension has passed with no sign of him. He will return, though..well, sort of. He may bring a friend. BASILISK will continue to trouble the WoW landscape. Unlike the Coalition in 1981 which was sort of a year-long angle, BASILISK will be around for a while. Their will be changes and such, but the core will remain. How long can Jessie hold the Cruiserweight Title? The wedding of Madame Tiki and Teeny Norman. Will it go off without a hitch? This is pro wrestling so take a guess. The final fate of O' Hooligan. Has Ryan Regret finally found a team that will do his bidding? They've run off the Gladiators. Who is next? Early debuts will include Cutthroat Carter, Drool, and of course, The Flawless One.
See you in 1983!!

Superstar Saturday 1/1/83 Empire Gardens 1470/40/**
Honest Al welcomes everyone to a New Year’s Day edition of WoW Wrestling. The Valedictorian interrupts to announce his New Year’s Resolution. He resolves to totally dominate WoW in 1983. He challenges anyone to come out and try and keep that from happening. Red Pirate Rogers answers the challenge.
1. In an impromptu match, The Valedictorian gets a clean win over Red Pirate Rogers.
2. The scheduled opener sees Lyndi Harker defeat Gorgon Tokoro and Auntie Voodoo in a three-way match.
3. Command & Conquer over The Insectoids. Afterwards, Iron Mask said that their humiliated opponents symbolize the competition in WoW in more ways than one. First, they are obviously of inferior talent, and this describes all the teams in WoW. C&C is strictly better. The other reason is the Insectoids appearance. They look like bugs…like insects. This is a good look for them because they are as irrelevant as the common bug. To the members of BASILISK, all the competition looks like insects. “We are to the rest of the roster as men are to ants.”
4. The American Heroes come out. They ask to speak briefly about The Gramercy Riffs, and specifically Soul Daddy, who is starting to sound like a broken record. “America is the land of opportunity, and Soul Daddy has had every chance that he and Zone have had to succeed. He’s trying to make this about the haves versus the have-nots. However, their definition of each is a bit skewed, and the sides aren’t as cut n’ dried as they insist. The American Heroes just want a fair match with the Riffs with no politics involved.
5. In our first debut of the night, Cutthroat Carter defeats Crash.
6. Fireball over El Presidente. Fireball goes after EP’s mask and the luchador makes a quick exit.
7. We see the debut of the unusual Drool. Despite his physical appearance, he is good-natured and the kids love him. He is taking on Pelvis Presley with Big Boss, Jr. At the beginning of the match, Presley stall for so long that even Boss gets annoyed. All during the match, Presley keeps complaining that Drool’s slobberin’ on him. Finally, when Drool is outside the ring and Presley has the ref distracted, Boss KOs him Drool with a foreign object for the countout win.
8. Mighty Leo over Buzzsaw. After the win, Michael T. Wolf comes out and mocks Saw. Lazer attacks Wolf from behind and the two team brawl.
9. Jessie Wild successfully defends the Cruiserweight Title against Keith Blood.

Sunday Night Slam 1/9/83 Golden Plaza 1442/49/***
1. Gorgon Tokoro over Aurora.
2. Wall Street gets a win over The Adventurers in what’s considered a mild upset.
3. We see a commercial for the upcoming Battle Royale P4V in two weeks. Featured in the commercial are Jet Set Strutter, Terry Van Winkle, and Dr. B. Each man talks about winning the Royale and getting a title shot. We then see a series of vignettes showing a man doing amazing athletic feats. He makes a half-court basketball shot, throws a football from one end zone to the other and into a garbage can, makes a hole-in-one golf shot on a very long hole, and makes 5 consecutive bullseyes with a compound bow and arrow. A voiceover says, “The only thing I’m better at than what you’ve just seen…is wrestling.” A title appears on the screen. This year, The Battle Royale will be…FLAWLESS.
4. We go to a training montage with Cutthroat Carter. A voiceover reminds the fans of Carter’s achievements during his short NFL career. It was short due to his inability to control his violent nature, as he was barred for life after his third year. Carter himself then says that he’s in WoW for one reason, and if the fans know their NFL, then they should know who that person is. Carter looks into the camera and says it’s time to “shut down the Blitz.”
5. Command & Conquer over The Blade Blasters. Gorgon Tokoro and Succubus aids in the win with some timely distraction.
6. Skullgore, with The Gargoyle, over The Shark. Skullgore announces that he and The Gargoyle are about to undergo a process known as “Blood Bonding”. This will make their individual powers stronger, which will, in turn, make Slashmaster and Keith Blood even stronger. The thought of that terrifies the other wrestlers in WoW.
7. Valedictorian comes out to speak but is quickly interrupted by Reptile Ranger. Ranger says that since the Valedictorian like to interrupt, let’s see how it feels when you’re being told to shut up. Val asks him what he wants. Ranger says “another chance to kick your butt.” He shows a clip of when Val used the ring bell on his throat. He says that could have been a lot worse. Val accepts the challenge and says that next time, “Instead of hitting you in throat, I will shove it down your throat till you choke on it.”
8. In a Ladies’ Title Match, Mother Russia successfully defends against Countess.

Weekend Wrasslin’ 1/15/83 Golden Plaza Great Crowd 1204/43/**
We are in Las Vegas for the second week in row!!
1. In the opening Trios tag match, The Van Winkles over Ghoul n’ Goblin and newcomer Poppa Chopper. 2. A 10-woman battle royal. The participants are: Auntie Voodoo/Aurora/Chaka Crass/Valley Girl/Gorgon Tokoro/The Queen of Mean/Princess Starbright/Glam/Gothica/Eventual winner. Lyndi Harker. Auntie Voodoo yells at Harker, reminding her that this is the first Ladies’ Battle Royal that she hasn’t won. 3. Barbaric Nature, with Ryan Regret, over The Executors. After the loss, Merc said that BN may have run the Gladiators out of WoW, but The Executors are here in WoW and will remain so. 4. Reptile Ranger and The Valedictorian went to a 20-minute time-limit draw. 5. As the announcers are setting up the next match between The Blade Blasters and Howl n’ Roar, the lights go out. When they come back up, Star Boy is in the ring. The ring appears to be shrouded in a darkness that the light can’t penetrate. Star Boy’s voice is unmistakable. He thanks Moon Man for forcing him to get help. He’s a new man, a better man. He’s made sacrifices, and he’s sacrificed other things. His advisor has really set him on the right path, and he looks forward to introducing his advisor to the fans. He tells the crowd that he “will be back in 3 weeks, and he won’t be alone.” The lights go out, come back up, and he’s gone.
6. The Blade Blasters get a clean win over Howl n’ Roar. Leo offers a hand after the match, and forces Wolf to do so the same albeit grudgingly. The Blasters refused the shake and left.
7. In a rematch, Drool defeats Pelvis Presley. Presley almost refuses to lock up. The official said that if you don’t then I will award the match to Drool. Presley finally locks up, and even his own manager is relieved. Drool wins the match with Atomic Wedgie. Boss berate Presley at ringside. Presley climbs the guard rail and walks out thru the crowd.
8. We see a training montage with Bobby Blitzworth. Blitz says that he’s well aware of why Carter’s here, and he’s actually looking forward to face him in the ring instead of the gridiron. He says that he was the superior athlete there, and that doesn’t change now.
9. Jessie Wild over Zen to retain the Cruiserweight championship. Zen went outside the ring and hurt his ankle pretty badly. He was unable to beat the 10-count. Wild helped Zen to the back and told him that he would get another shot as soon as he was ready.

Superstar Saturday 2/5/83 Boston Arena Sold Out 1160/44/**
1. In a three-way match, Damon Van Winkle defeated El Presidente and Arizona Chance when put away EP with the Van Winkle claw. Fireball attacked EP after the match and went after the mask. Arizona Chance actually pulled him off of EP. An irritated Fireball asked why. Chance asked him if he really wanted “to do it this way, the man’s already down.” Fireball said that “I’m not looking for a fight with you, right now,” and left the ring. While Arizona had his back turned, EP recovered and clotheslined him over the top rope.
2. Auntie Voodoo and Lyndi Harker fought to a Double-Disqualification. Before the match, Auntie told Harker that the reason that she wanted this match was because Harker broke her streak of winning ladies’ battle royals a few weeks back. Harker “apologized” for doing her best and trying to win a match, saying that she didn’t know she was supposed to defer to Auntie’s “superiority” in that time of event. She asked Auntie if she and the rest of the ladies should just jump over the top rope next time. Auntie replied “that would be a good plan to avoid a severe beating.”
3. It’s cemetery time again, but it’s a different setting. There’s a large mausoleum there, and in front of it we see Skullgore, Slashmaster, Keith Blood, and The Gargoyle. Skullgore says it’s time for the blood-bonding ceremony between him and Gargoyle. This act would make them, and all their associates, stronger than ever before. The ceremony will be held in this mausoleum, which contains the remains of one of the greatest wizards to ever exist. Finally, no mere mortal may gaze upon these happenings or risk insanity. Skullgore and The Gargoyle go into the crypt. Immediately, a storm whips up. Shrieks and moans can be heard coming from within. A lightning bolt strike the mausoleum, all sound ceases, and the wrought-iron gate swings open. Skullgore and Gargoyle walk back out, but their faces are obscured by a black dot on the tv screen. Skullgore and Gargoyle can be heard laughing maniacally. Keith Blood actually smiles a grim smile, and Slash is as unmoved as ever. When we go back live, the announcers tell us that faces of the two men were intentionally hidden from the viewers, as their appearances would’ve violated WoW’s standards & practices for a family-friendly show. They close with, “we saw it, and wish we hadn’t.”
4. In the next match, the American Heroes defeat the Gramercy Riffs. Once again, Soul Daddy tries to go into his standard rant about not being able to fight through the prejudices. War Hawk tells him to shut up. Hawk says “yes, the things you talk about do exist in America. They aren’t good, and are being addressed. They aren’t happening to you in WoW. Go back and watch that match. Nothing about it backs up your claims of bias. You’re making excuses and nothing more. We won, you lost. Fair and square. We’re moving on. You can either try and improve, or remain a victim of your own bad attitude.”
5. Cutthroat Carter over Moon Man.
6. The Flawless One made his singles’ debut with a win over the Chameleon Kid.
7. Bobby Blitzworth and The Mad Arab went to a 15-minute draw. The whole match was just a fight, and the ref let it go. Regret interfered liberally until taken out by Blitz. Troglo came down as well, but Blitz took him out.
8. The Valedictorian over Dicky Thunderbird. After Val had won, he got on the mic and said it was a joke that Thunderbird had received a shot at Slashmaster and he hadn’t. He’s spent a career beating Thunderbird all over the world. He demanded that WoW makes things right for him.
9. Dr. B successfully defends the TV title against Ninja Star.

Sunday Night Slam 2/13/83 Canada Centre Sold Out 2490/46/***
1. The opener is a Ladies’ Trios Match with the following stipulation. Whoever wins the fall challenges the winner of the Mother Russia/Lyndi Harker match for the Ladies’ Title. The Trios’ teams are the women of BASILISK, Countess, Succubus, and Gorgon Tokoro versus Auntie Voodoo, Chaka Crass, and The Queen of Mean. Gorgon pins Crass to win the match and earn the title shot.
2. Fireball defeats Average Guy and Dr. B in a three-way match. 3. Cutthroat Carter defeated The Shark. 4. Arizona Chance addresses the people. He talks about his time as WoW champion, and how he’s missed holding a title. He echoes the sentiments regarding Slashmaster as being the single toughest man he’s ever faced. He’s not using that as an excuse, though. Nobody is unbeatable. Everybody has a weakness, including Slash. That weakness will be discovered and Slashmaster will be taken down. In the meantime, he says there’s a lot going on in WoW and he finds himself in the middle of much of it. However, he finds himself not in the middle of the main event scene, and its time to correct that situation. 5. Barbaric Nature, with Ryan Regret, defeat Howl n’ Roar in an upset. Regret gets on the mic and says that he hopes the rest of the teams in WoW have been paying attention to what’s going on around them. While they’ve been playing games with one another, his team has become who everyone is talking about. Many people thought that Howl n’ Roar would be the end of BN’s rampage, but that was another delusion. Nobody ends this rampage…Blade Blasters, Conquer and Command, and Shop of Horrors are about to get run over in a way they would never imagine could happen. Shop of Horrors has been impressive, yes, but Barbaric Nature have been dominating.
6. The next match features Skullgore taking on Drool. Before the match, Skullgore wants to speak to Drool. He says that Drool is “one of us…a scion of darkness.” These fans are an obstacle, not an asset. He says that they should call off the match and discuss how they can be mutually beneficial. Drool seems to think it over while the crowd exhorts him to decline. He does just that, with a hard right to Skullgore’s face. This is about the only offense Drool gets in, however, as Skullgore wastes no time finishing him off. Skullgore calls in Keith Blood, and the two of them beat down Drool. Gargoyle calls his associates off as help arrives. Skullgore says that Drool was tested and failed, and that “I am a cruel, unforgiving teacher.”
7. American Heroes take the stage. They hope that Soul Daddy has gotten the message that the Riffs’ losses aren’t about any perceived inequities in treatment due to any social issues, but because the Heroes are, right now, the better team. They call out Ryan Regret for leaving them off the list of teams that he claims will fall to Barbaric Nature. War Hawk assumes that’s because Regret knows his team can’t take the Heroes. He and Danger Zone are willing to test that belief. Is Regret? He also calls out Command & Conquer and Shop of Horrors. He agrees with Regret that they will be taking a fall soon, but it will be the American Heroes knocking them off, not Barbaric Nature.
8. The Flawless One over Terry Van Winkle.
9. Lyndi Harker wins the Ladies’ Title from Mother Russia. As soon as the match ends, before she can even celebrate, Gorgon Tokoro is in her face. Dude Brohan, who was coming out to congratulate her, is jumped by Dr. B on the way to the ring. This distraction allows Gorgon to attack Harker. It takes nearly the full locker room to break up the ensuing brawl.
