May 1990 Weekend Attitude
Dr. B was in Mr. Tycoon’s office. “I demand Undermaster after what he did last week! I’ll let Hunk deal with Ace when he gets back, but I want Undermaster tonight!”
Mr. Tycoon calmly replied, “After all we’ve been through together, and with the way the fans are responding to you now, how could I deny that? But, I’ve got a problem— Undermaster won’t be coming alone. He’s got Exotic Rick backing him up. You need to find a partner.”
Dr. B replied, “I pity the idiot that thinks Undermaster and Exotic Rick stand a chance against me and the first guy I see tonight.” Just then, Dicky Thunderbird walked into Tycoon’s office. “You wanted to see me?”
Dr. B grabbed Dicky by the shoulder. “This is my partner. He’s small, but he’ll do.” Dicky was perplexed by what was going on, but didn’t dare say no to a determined and violent Dr. B.
1. Ezekiel with Vegas in his corner opened against Chet Skye with Jessie Wild seconding him. In another great performance, Ezekiel managed to catch Skye as he attempted his Torpedo Dropkick, and countered into a new submission hold that ended with Skye’s knee draped around Ezekiel’s neck, which put intense pressure on Skye’s hip, leading to a submission win. After the match Ezekiel spoke to the camera: “Genesis 32:25– he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip, so the socket of his hip was dislocated as he wrestled with him. Chet Skye, you’ve just had the misfortune of climbing Jacob’s Ladder.”
2. Dude Brohan was working out... again. This time Mighty Leo joined him in his gym. Dude asked him, “You know somethin’, my feline brother... whatcha gonna do when you have to face Chicano and Big Rig again?” Leo racked a very large amount of weight and just roared, baring his fangs for all to see.
3. Dr. B came to the ring with Dicky Thunderbird. Undermaster and Exotic Rick made their way to the ring, and Undermaster found a folding chair and left Rick to fight the match himself, which enraged Dr. B. He pummeled Rick mercilessly, screaming at Undermaster throughout the beating, while Undermaster looked on stone-faced. Dr. B finally gorilla pressed Rick and threw him onto Undermaster outside the ring, but Undermaster still would not fight. He simply caught Rick and rolled him back into the ring. Meanwhile, Thunderbird stood in awe of what he was seeing. Eventually, Dr. B landed the Clubber on Rick, who laid in a heap in the ring. Dr. B did not cover, and instead went after Undermaster. The two behemoths beat each other, but Undermaster smashes Dr. B’s face into the ring post and then the steps. This allowed Rick time to recover, and when Dr. B was rolled in, Rick hit the Exotic Awakening for a pinfall.
After the match, Mr. Tycoon stated via video screen that since Rick got the pinfall, he would receive a World Title chance at Monster Mayhem next week.
4. Dragonfly was at O’Hooligan’s Pub, drowning his sorrows. “I can’t believe I lost the Cruiserweight Title and my best friend’s reaction was to ask for a title shot for himself.” O’Hooligan replied, “There’s no friends in the business, pal. Notvwhen it comes to titles. That’s why Dude is going to eventually turn on Lazer, and why Magnifico turned on you.” Yuppie VP sat down at the bar. “It’s true,” he said. “The only people you can trust in this business to not turn on you are the wrestlers who aren’t active anymore, like my buddy Mr. Tycoon. You should talk to him about what to do now.” Dragonfly got up with hope and fire in his eyes. “I think I’m going to do that. Thanks, O’Hooligan. Thanks... guy in a suit that I don’t know but totally trust.”
5. In a TV Title match, Average Guy retains over Ace of Spades.

May 1990 Monster Mayhem
1. Princess Starbright retains the Ladies Title over Gothica. Gothica shakes hands with Starbright after the match. They have a short conversation, and Starbright gets an offended look on her face, turns and starts to walk away. Gothica blasts her from behind, and starts screaming about how Starbright is now part of the problem, not the solution.
2. Dr. B is in Mort’s Mausoleum. Mort asks Dr. B about what has happened over the past few weeks with Undermaster and Exotic Rick. Dr. B says, “I don’t know why these idiots keep messin’ with Dr. B. I pity them. I pity them in the ring, because they can’t hang one on one with me. I pity them because they ain’t as pretty as me. I pity them because they should be the hot new thing... but this old dog has still got some fight in him, and the fans know it.”
3. In an excellent random trios match with no buildup, the “get people on the card six-man tag” was won by Ace of Spades, Chicano and Dark Mauler over Hunk, Chet Skye, and Jessie Wild, who again ate a pin for his team, drawing Chet’s ire. Hunk and Ace brawled again after the match, with Hunk hitting a Hunka Dunk through the announce table.
4. Average Guy retains the TV Title over Beer Can Man.
5. A clip from the Len Jayo show runs on the big screen, where Ezekiel talks about using the Bible to motivate himself and others. O’Hooligan interrupts and talks about using beer to motivate himself and others. The two argue vehemently, neither making salient points, but it was hugely entertaining.
6. Howl and Roar defend their tag titles against Command and Conquer. C&C manage to isolate Leo, but after a while Wolf made the hot tag. However, the referee was distracted by a strange man wearing only a brown cloak and sandals who had a small cauldron at his side. He splashed some purple liquid onto the mat. The tag happened as the ref told the cloaked man to leave, so he forced Wolf out of the match. Copper Commander then locked in the Cobra Clutch, and Iron Mask cut off Wolf from making the save, forcing Leo to submit. The cloaked man pulled back his hood to reveal The Gargoyle, who said that he and Command and Conquer would be the ruling class in ABCW for the foreseeable future.
7. Arizona Chance put on another great match, getting a solid victory over Big Thuggee.
8. Exotic Rick took on Lazer for the World Title. Undermaster and Dude Brohan were at ringside. The two put on a tremendous match, with huge power moves galore. Of course at the end, Dude and Undermaster started brawling, distracting the ref. Dr. B ran out, hit the Clubber on Rick, and Lazer applies the Lazerlock to secure the win.
Results: Starbright over Gothica 2* Dr. B in Mort’s Mausoleum 2* Ace, Chicano, and Mauler over Hunk and Neon Express 4* Average Guy over Beer Can Man 2* Retains TV Title Late Night Talk Show with Ezekiel and O’Hooligan 4* Command and Conquer over Howl and Roar 2* New Tag Champs Arizona Chance over Big Thuggee 3* Lazer over Exotic Rick 4* Retains World Title

June 1990 Monday Night Live
Mr. Tycoon appeared on the screen to start the show. “Mr. Fantasy has let me know that I’ll be running things for one more month before he makes his return. I’d like to point out that things have been better under my reign as general manager than his— I’d like to keep my job longer. So I’m considering this month leading up to our Tag Team Invitational an extended job interview. Mr. Fantasy, allow me to prove my worth by putting together cards that will impress you, the fans, and even the notoriously fickle Dan Mixer. Our first match should be a thing of beauty.”
1. Jessie Wild was backstage with a noticeably annoyed Chet Skye. Chet said what everyone had been thinking: “We’ve been a team for ten years. We were the first tag champs in ABCW. But lately, you’ve been WAAAAY off your game. You need to step it up tonight. I’ll be in your corner tonight. Show me you’ve still got it.” Wild then hit the ring to face Ezekiel. In a very entertaining match, Ezekiel had the upper hand late and called for and hit Divine Intervention, but Wild bumped the ref during the move and no one counted. Ezekiel tried to rouse the ref, but Skye jumped into the action and hit Ezekiel with a super kick, knocking him out cold. Wild and the ref both missed what happened, but Wild capitalized and got the cover for the three count. Wild asked Skye what happened, and Skye replied, “I just didn’t want him preaching at me after the match.”
2. Dark Mauler was set to face local talent. As the local talent entered, Orion Northstar followed behind. He spoke calmly but firmly to the local talent, saying “You don’t want to have this match. You want to return to the locker room and reconsider your career choice.” With a wave of Orion’s hand, the local talent left the ring and mentioned updating his resume. Orion then handed Mauler his first loss in their rivalry in a stellar match, picking up a clean win with Mind Tricks.
3. Beer Can Man gains a victory over Iron Mask with the Brewski Driver.
4. Did you know Ace of Spades and the Hunk really, REALLY hate each other? Ace over Hunk with the Ace Crusher. After the match, Ace started punishing Hunk, but Dr. B stopped him. Then, after picking up Hunk, Dr. B turned on him and knocked him back down with the Clubber, and the man the fans had been cheering for weeks suddenly found himself booed mercilessly. Dr. B grabbed a couple of beers and chugged them, looking over at a bewildered Ace. Ace eventually decided to tap cans with Dr. B as they chugged a couple more together. Dr. B grabbed a mic. “These fans have been behind me for weeks now, and I’ve done nothing but lose since. Tycoon told me he’d make things happen for me, but I make things happen for myself. I pity the idiot that thinks Dr. B is gonna miss out on the tag team invitational. I don’t have a partner, so I looked for the baddest dude that didn’t have a partner. What do you say Ace?” Ace looked at the massive Dr. B, and screamed out, “OH HECK YEAH!” The two left together after pouring out their beers on the Hunk.
5. Dicky Thunderbird retains the Cruiserweight Title over Skelescreem.

Jun 1990 Weekend Attitude
Mr. Tycoon was surrounded by a host of wrestlers who all seemed to be trying to get his attention. After a few moments of chaos, he screamed “QUIET!” Everyone got silent, and Tycoon spoke.
I understand all of you want to be in the tag team tournament next week. Being the inaugural champion of an event is a great honor, and a resume builder. So, I’m just going to announce the brackets now, as determined by myself with input from Me. Fantasy. In round one, the team of Ace of Spades and Dr. B will compete against The Hunk and a teammate he will choose. The most decorated team in our history, The Adventurers, will square off against the newest tag team, 2-Zap and his mystery partner. The third match will involve former tag champs Command and Conquer against the Smooth Criminals. And finally, the Neon Express, our first ever Tag Champs, will square off with Lazer and Dude Brohan. If anyone else wants to get in, go see the Hunk and lobby to be his partner.”
1. Skelescreem ran to the ring, mic in hand. “I will prove that I should be the Hunk’s partner by beating ANYONE who is in the tournament... right now!” He dropped the mic and waited... and Ezekiel appeared. Ezekiel began the match with his finisher, Divine Intervention, and left Skelescreem looking like a pile of bones in seconds. “Pride goeth before a fall,” said Ezekiel.
2. In O’Hooligan’s Pub, the Hunk was being mobbed. A dozen wrestlers surrounded him. He held up a hand and screamed “SILENCE! You all want to know who the Hunk is going to choose as his partner? Well, the Hunk says this: looking at you all— you jabronis— The Hunk will be better off by himself. The Hunk can handle a beer swilling, loud-mouthed redneck hillbilly— wait a minute.” The camera panned over to Average Guy, who was seated at the bar with a beer, paying no attention to the fracas. “What better way to combat a beer-swilling, loud-mouthed redneck hillbilly than with his older, fatter, less inbred probable cousin? Average Guy, you’re the Hunk’s partner.” Average Guy looked up from his beer, and said “Well, these here old bones was lookin’ forward to a night off, but I guess we’s got bigger fish to fry.”
3. Ace of Spades was back in the ring and cut a scathing promo on The Hunk, and threw in a couple of fat jokes about Average Guy. The crowd ate it up.
4. The Adventurers over Def Row and the debuting Notorious BB. BB arrived as 2-Zap’s mystery partner to much fanfare, then proceeded to eat a chili dog while 2-Zap got pummeled, refusing to tag in until he was finished. When he did tag in, he decimated the Adventurers, but then sat down because he was too winded. He the tagged back in the exhausted, beaten down 2-Zap, who ate The Last Crusade for the pinfall.
5. Two international ladies closed the show, with a femme Fatale defeating Trixie in a highly rated match.

Jun 1990 Tag Team Invitational
Mr. Tycoon was on his giant, suitcase sized cell phone. “Yes sir,” he said into the phone. “We’re set with all 8 teams. Yes sir, I understand. My idea, and if it goes to crap, it’s my job. I understand. What’s that sir? My job isn’t guaranteed even if it goes well? Nothing in life ever is. You’ll be pleased sir, I promise.” Just then Dude Brohan and Lazer walked into the office. Brohan snarled, “You called for us, Tycoon?”
“No, I called for you, Dude, but Lazer can stay because he needs to hear this. Dude, I’ve got some concerns. It finally hit me why you’re so buddy-buddy with Lazer here. What better way for a washed-up has-been to prolong his career than by latching onto the top guy? Your last championship out east was what— four, five years ago? Here’s the thing Dude— I’ve seen this happen before, and it never ends well. Eventually this partnership will lead to jealousy, because Lazer has what you can’t have anymore, and then bad things happen. Dude, take my advice— wind down your farewell tour here and then hang up your boots like I did. Become a manager. You’ve got a lot to offer young talent, and they could learn from your many, many, many years of experience... brother.”
Dude became enraged and Lazer held him back from crushing Tycoon. “Now let me tell you something, brother! The Dude still has plenty of fight, and we’re going to show you tonight that Dudeamania is still one of the two strongest forces in the universe! Whatcha gonna do, Tycoon, when Dude and Lazer win this tourney?” Dude stormed out. Lazer looked at Tycoon, sadly. “I almost believed you when you told me you’d turned over a new leaf.” He walked out disgustedly. Tycoon smiled. “Maybe that will light a fire under the big guy.”
1. Ace of Spades and Dr. B squared off with The Hunk and Aberage guy to open the tourney. The Hunk was a house of fire in this one. Hitting Dr. B with the Hunka Dunk. Ace ran in and knocked Hunk to his corner, and Average Guy made the blind tag. Hunk hit Ace with his own finisher, the Ace Crusher, and Average Guy dropped the Average Elbow on Dr. B for the pinfall.
2. The Adventurers defeat Def Row in a straightforward match. Notorious BB looks good in defeat, with 2-Zap eating the Swashbuckler for the finish.
3. Command and Conquer defeat the Smooth Criminals in a terrible match. In a surprise quick finish, Dan Mixer later wrote in the Wrestling Viewer that Vegas simply forgot to kick out of a basic Dropkick by Copper Commander. It was a rookie mistake from a seasoned vet, and Ezekiel was fuming backstage after the match, threatening Vegas with fire and brimstone.
4. The Neon Express took on Brohan and Lazer. Chet Skye held his own against Brohan and Lazer, but Wild was quickly outclassed and fell victim to the Big Bro Leg Drop. Skye did not attempt to break up the pin, and walked to the back without emotion after the loss.
5. Princess Starbright defeats Femme Fatale to retain the Ladies Title.
6. Hunk and Average Guy defeat The Adventurers. Average Guy and Hunk hit simultaneous finishers on Chance and Rogers, but when Rogers was Hunka Dunked, he bounced directly into the path of the Average Elbow. Average Guy got the pin, but was clearly in pain in his elbow and forearm as they left.
7. Lazer and Brohan over Command and Conquer. Brohan actually fought most of this match, screaming “This is for you, Tycoon!” as he landed the Big Bro Leg Drop on Iron Mask.
8. O’Hooligan spoke to the crowd about how Brohan would turn on Lazer, how the Neon Express would break up, and how everyone in this business was ultimately in it for themselves.
9. In the tournament final, Dude and Lazer took advantage of Average Guy’s injured elbow to become tournament champions. Of note, Hunk debuted a new submission move which he dubbed The Hunk Shooter, which was identical to the Lazerlock. The crowd popped big when he applied it to Lazer.

Jul 1990 Monday Night Live
Mr. Tycoon appeared on the screen to begin the show. “I’d first like to congratulate Lazer and Dude Brohan for being the inaugural Tag Team Invitational Champions. As winners, they will get a tag title chance. Now, as you are aware, currently ABCW bylaws prevent a wrestler from holding more than one belt at a time, and Lazer is your currently World Champion. As this is patently unfair to Brohan, I’m going to give Brohan a choice today if he wins the match I’ve arranged for him. Should he win, he will have the option of forcing Lazer to relinquish his world title so they can together chase tag team gold, or he can relinquish his tag title opportunity. If he loses, his opponent gets the tag title chance with the partner of his choice.” The camera faded out. As the fade happened, Tycoon muttered “I don’t like this, sir” under his breath, as if he was talking to someone in the room...
1. Skelescreem came to the ring and demanded a rematch with Ezekiel, claiming he wasn’t ready last time. Ezekiel stated, “James 4:2– You are envious of what you cannot obtain; therefore you fight and quarrel. Be careful what you wish for!” He then charged the ring, and quickly hit Divine Intervention. Instead of going for the pin, he locked in Jacob’s Ladder, and Skelescreem howled that he gave up.
2. Trixie gets a measure of revenge over Femme Fatale, gaining the win via the Flying Head Scissors.
3. Iron Mask with Copper Commander defeats Dirk Dungeon. They begin a post-match beatdown, but are interrupted by Howl and Roar who make the save and clear the ring.
4. Dude Brohan enters a match with his mystery opponent... O’Hooligan. O’Hooligan talks on the way to the ring about how if he were a true friend, he would lose this match on purpose because then O’Hooligan would be out of both of their lives, chasing tag team gold, and Dude could go back to being Lazer’s lackey. Dude did not lay down, and in fact defeated O’Hooligan. Dude grabbed a mic.
“Let me tell you something, Mr. Money Man. And no, I don’t mean you, Tycoon. I mean the guy you’re taking orders from. Do you think the Dudester would ever make anyone give up a title— the thing we all work toward— without taking it from him fair and square? The Dude wants the tag titles. The Dude wants the world title. The Dude wants to lose weight and be Cruiserweight Champ. But there are certain things that are more important than titles— including doing the right thing for all the little Dudesters and the little Lazers. I relinquish our chance at the tag titles. I’m just glad that O’Hooligan doesn’t get a chance either. And I give the chance to two dudes who have been in my gym, and put in the blood, sweat and tears to make it happen: Howl and Roar!”
5. In a three way dance to determine the number one contender of the World Title, Ace of Spades defeats The Hunk and The Undermaster when Dr. B blasted The Hunk with his gold chain. As these matches are no-DQ, Ace hit the Ace Crusher on Undermaster for the win. B and Ace celebrated together with a couple of Aceweisers.

Jul 1990 Sports Entertainment
1. Ace of Spades opened the show with s Dramatic Promo. “Well, I guess the mud puddle stompin’, beer drinkin’, butt whoopin’ sidewinder is set to be your new champ. There’s just the small matter of kicking the butt of the current chump, Lazer. He’s got his buddy, washed up Dude Brohan, and I got mine, Dr. B. Seems like a fair fight, and Ace wins every fair fight. Especially with Lazer, who is misnamed. He’s no laser. Lasers are bright. He’s a 40-watt bulb, cause he ain’t so bright. So, 40-watt, the belt’s coming to me, and that’s the bottom line, cause Ace said so!”
2. Mr. Tycoon appeared on the screen. “Last week, Dude Brohan gave away his chance at the tag titles. Unfortunately, we do not gift title chances here in ABCW. So, if Howl and Roar want to have a chance at the titles, they’ll have to win their number one contenders match, which starts right now.” Howl and Roar faced off with the Smooth Criminals. Vegas started off thematch and never got a chance to tag in Ezekiel, as Wolf cut him off from making a save after Leo hit the Thunderstrike for the win.
3. Kannibal Keith was as wild as ever, escorted to the ring in his straitjacket jacket by the police. He made quick work of Dirk Dungeon. After the match, Keith did not allow himself to be straitjacketed, and beat up the cops. As he threatened to run into the crowd and start biting people’s faces off, Gothica charged to the ring. She talked to Keith in a calm, reassuring voice, and he allowed himself to be shackled. She continued to talk calmly to him as he exited.
4. Gothica passed by Lazer and Dude Brohan as they were heading to the ring, and gave them the “you’re hot” look. Dude acknowledged this. Gothica said, “I was looking at the young guy.” Dude got on the microphone first. “Well ya know somethin’ Lazer, you’ve got a heck of a fight ahead of you, but the Dude will be there every step of the way as we defend our— I mean, you defend your world title.” Lazer jumped in and said, “Dude, you’ve been nothing but great since you’ve been here. Don’t let Ace and B get under your skin. You’re every bit as tough as you ever were. And you’re a heck of a guy to have in my corner in two weeks.”
5. The Hunk over Chet Skye, who was without Jessie Wild. Chet put on a tremendous match, as this was definitely a match of the month candidate.

Jul 1990 Weekend Attitude
1. The show opens with actual wrestling, with Chet Skye making quick work of Skelescreem. Jessie Wild was notably absent from ringside. After Skye left the ring, Gothica walked to ringside. Without saying a word, she motioned for Skelescreem to get up, and he obliged. She then motioned for him to come outside, which he again did. Gothica then crushed Skelescreem with a vicious slap across his face, and turned and walked away. Skelescreem followed like a wounded puppy.
2. Def Row visited Teeny’s Playhouse. They talked to the kids about overcoming adversity no matter where you come from. “Look at me,” said 2-Zap. “I’m from a bad neighborhood and nobody gave me a chance, and now I’m a successful professional wrestler.” One of the kids piped up. “Doesn’t successful mean you win a lot? How many matches have you won?” Notorious BB snickered. “He ain’t won any matches yet, kid.” 2-Zap responded— “But we’ve got a plan for that. Things are gonna turn around for us soon.”
3. Mr. Tycoon came on the screen as Lazer and Dude Brohan went to the ring for their tag match. “Listen, I want to thank you guys for helping make the Tag Team Invitational a success. I’m giving the fans the match they never saw from the tourney: you guys versus Dr. B and Ace of Spades.” Ace and Dr. B snuck behind Dude and Lazer while Tycoon was speaking and blasted the two fan favorites. The ref rang the bell, and a chaotic match ensued, with no tags, no one knowing who was legal, and weapons were used illegally in front of the ref with no DQ called. After fighting all over the arena, the four combatants came back into the ring, where Ace nailed Dude with a chair while Dr. B opened Lazer up with a Clubber augmented with his chain around his fist. Ace flipped Lazer the aces and hit the Ace Crusher for the win.
4. Honest Al was backstage with The Hunk, who talked about how he was going to take the winner of the title match at Red, White and Blue Bash and turn them red with their own blood, white with fear, and black and blue all over when he becomes world champ. But for now, he’d be cheering on his unlikely buddy Average Guy in his TV Title match up next.
5. Average Guy successfully defended his TV Title against Dark Mauler. The Hunk was entertaining on commentary. Mauler looked like he was heading in for the Dark Menace, when he suddenly stopped. Average Guy took advantage and got the Average Elbow for the win. Replay footage showed Orion Northstar waving his hands in the direction of the ring from just outside the entrance curtain as Mauler halted his approach.

Jul 1990 Red, White and Blue Bash
The PPV got started late, as it was immediately preceded by breaking news of missiles fired by a coalition of nations in the Middle East. Mr. Fantasy broke character to apologize for the delay, and that this PPV would necessarily be shorter than normal. However, he still hoped to give the fans a show worth their time and money investment, and that he would be donating all of the profits from this show to a veteran’s organization. The crowd, still stunned that the country was officially at war, applauded graciously but without any fervor.
1. The Tag Champs Command and Conquer addressed the crowd first, and Copper Commander spewed anti-patriotic vitriol, claiming that the only reason the USA still existed is because they allow it to. This was later described by Wrestling Viewer’s Dan Mixer as “the single most inappropriately timed promo of all time,” and would go down in the annals of such YouTube channels as ThatCulture Wrestling and Wrestling With Wregression in many top ten “worst promo” lists. Thankfully, this was followed by a squash win from Howl and Roar to regain the Tag Team Championships. They then inappropriately waved the American flag, despite not being the most patriotic characters to begin with.
2. The pro-American pandering continued when Freedom Fighter won a three way dance with Dr. B and the Undermaster. After the match he cut a more appropriate promo about how blessed he has been in the USA since he came here from his homeland, and how proud he was of the former USSR for taking down the wall and becoming more open to freedom.
3. The Hunk was interviewed by Honest Al. Hilarity ensued, providing a much needed escape from the news of the day.
4. Dicky Thunderbird retains the Cruiserweight Title over Kannibal Keith, accompanied by Gothica. After the match, won by a rollup after Keith took everything Dicky had to offer without selling, Keith attacked the champ, beat him until he stopped fighting back, and was about to bite his face when Gothica jumped on the apron, and started calmly talking him down. She was able to get Keith to release the champ, and she slowly guided him to the back.
5. Dude Brohan apparently brings his gym with him to every event. He and Big Rig racked weight when Big Rig talked up how Chet Skye has dramatically improved. Dude talked up Lazer in his upcoming title match.
6. In the main event, Ace of Spades was defeated by Lazer as the latter retained his World Title. Ace was in control late, when Lazer ducked a clothesline attempt and Ace clobbered the ref instead. Ace hit the Ace Crusher on Lazer, then he went to ringside and grabbed the championship belt to use on Lazer, but The Hunk cut him off, took the belt, and used it to smash Ace and break his nose, all while Lazer and the ref were down. Ace got up and hit Hunk with the Ace Crusher, and flipped the aces to Hunk as he flopped around the ring like a fish out of water. Lazer saw Ace with his back turned and hit the Lazer Death Drop, then noticed the belt in the ring and Ace’s bloody face. He refused to cover, kicked the belt out of the ring, got the ref up, then gave Ace time to recover. When Ace got up, he tried for the Crusher again, but Lazer countered into a double leg pickup and applied the Lazerlock. Ace refused to tap, eventually passing out from blood loss and pain. Lazer’s hand was raised, but he looked at the Hunk at ringside and shook his head in disappointment. Ace woke up, was tended to by medical personnel, and walked out to a standing ovation from the crowd.

Aug 1990 Monday Night Live
Lazer barged into Mr. Tycoon’s office... to see him talking with Mr. Fantasy. The two were pouring over a document with the old ABCW letterhead. “Lazer, my boy,” began Fantasy. “So good to see you. Great win over Ace at the PPV.”
Lazer’s gaze intensified. “That’s what I wanted to talk to Tycoon about— or I guess you, if you’re back in charge. So who’s gonna catch my flak today?”
“Oh, I’m just visiting, tending to some business from the past that keeps cropping up. Tycoon is running the show.”
“OK then. Tycoon, I’m glad I’m still Champ, but I don’t like how that match went down and I want Ace to have another shot— a fair shot, with Hunk banned from the arena.”
Tycoon was amused. “I thought I’d gotten to know you well enough over the past decade that you’d say something like this. I’ve already made arrangements that Ace and you will have a rematch for the Title in one month at Summer Smash.” Lazer, satisfies, left the room. Tycoon turned to Fantasy. “Every title will be up for grabs that night. I’ve arranged a four person tourney to decide the challenger for Average Guy’s TV Title between Chet Skye, Skelescreem, Vegas, and Beer Can Man. The Ladies Title will feature two of our best workers: Princess Starbright and Valley Girl. We’ll have a Cruiserweight Championship match between former Champ Dragonfly and current champ Dicky Thunderbird, and the new tag champs will defend as well. Now, back to this paperwork you asked me to look at...”
1. Chet Skye defeats Skelescreem. He will meet the winner of Vegas v Beer Can Man.
2. A repackaged Warhawk returns as Nuclear Warhawk. He is waving a flag, chomping a cigar, and spewing cringeworthy one-liners. The fans hate the new look, and cheer when Dr. B obliterates him in a squash.
3. Vegas gets the win over Beer Can Man when Ronnie Believer enters and smashes BCM with a Singapore cane. Vegas v Skye will happen in two weeks.
4. Exotic Rick grabs a mic and challenges Lazer, saying he can’t start giving out Title rematches when he never got one. Lazer answers the challenge, and the two have a great match with Lazer coming out on top. Undermaster runs from the back to try to help Rick, but Brohan runs from the back immediately after and hits Undermaster with his weight belt, preventing the interference.
5. Dragonfly defeats Dicky Thunderbird for the Cruiserweight Title. The two again shake hands after a great match. Dragonfly says if it’s up to him, the match at Summer Smash will still be Dragonfly v Thunderbird for the Cruiserweight Title.

August 1990 Sports Entertainment
Ace of Spades was backstage with Dr. B. “So, partner, I hear you have Lazer to start off the show. Don’t beat him up too bad— save some for me. And if— no, when— you win, after I take his title at Summer Smash, you’re first in line for a friendly title shot. And that’s the bottom dollar, cause Ace said so!”
1. Dr.B with Ace and Lazer with Brohan tore the house down to start the show. This match went first because half an hour into the broadcast, it was scheduled to be preempted by a speech from the President on the escalation of hostilities in the Middle East. Lazer ended up winning clean when he countered a Clubber attempt into a Lazer Death Drop for the pinfall. Ace and Brohan respectfully stared each other down on the outside, but kept their distance.
2. Ezekiel and Vegas we’re enjoying a brew at O’Hooligan’s Pub. Ever the agitator, O’Hooligan asked if Ezekiel was jealous that Vegas had a match to earn a title shot next week. “Titus 1:7– An overseer must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant, quick tempered, violent, or jealous for gain.” O’Hooligan said, “Ya missed something there bud. See, O’Hooligan has been studying up on his Scripture too. You skipped over the part where he shouldn’t be a drunk either.” Ezekiel grabbed O’Hooligan by the neck of his t-shirt. O’Hooligan smirked as he said, “Hey there guy, now that we know you’re quick tempered and violent too, you want to rethink that jealousy thing?” Ezekiel let go. Vegas said, “Let’s get out of here,” and the Smooth Criminals left the pub. O’Hooligan screamed after them, “Oh, leaving without paying? Want to add thievery to your list of sins there tough guy?”
3. Notorious BB came out for his first singles match with 2-Zap in his corner. “Imma show you how this is done, cuz,” he said as he took off his jacket to reveal an ENORMOUS belly. Nuclear Warhawk appeared, with a video package narrated by Mr Fantasy that explained that this man is as American as America gets. The fans booed him mercilessly. BB hit him with his huge belly, then fell on Warhawk, who was crushed under the weight and took the pinfall. Dan Mixer of the Wrestling Viewer stated that this was the worst ABCW match, and close to the worst segment, he had ever seen.
4. Ace of Spades saved the show with a dramatic promo that sold the bejeesus out of his upcoming title match with Lazer. He talked about how much he both respected and hated Lazer, and that he would beat the tar out of him without any help, and he expected Lazer would try to do the same.
5. Howl and Roar successfully defended their tag titles against Command and Conquer despite attempted interference from the Gargoyle.

August 1990 Summer Smash
Early in the week, Dan Mixer of the Wrestling Viewer publishes an exposé on ABCW’s takeover by Mr. Fantasy, and he came to some rather shocking conclusions. He stated that the reason Fantasy wrote himself off the air and did that horrible angle back in February where he “poisoned” several of his wrestlers was that there was a hiccup in the takeover proceedings. He’s brought in several contract attorneys (including Mr. Tycoon’s associate Yuppie VP) over the last several months, but there was a real chance that Mr. Codger, who Fantasy implied was in a nursing home, might still be the rightful owner of ABCW. Mixer went on to say that although he felt Fantasy was in no real danger of losing the company, it was the reason he abruptly stopped the “making fun of Codger” angle according to sources close to the current head of ABCW.
1. The show opens with Dragonfly, as he said he would, defending the Cruiserweight Title against Dicky Thunderbird. The two would shake hands to start the match... and that’s as good as the action would get. Thunderbird tweaked a knee early, and he was obviously hampered through the match. Dragonfly ended the match quickly when he realized the injury was real, and hit a Dragonstar Splash for the win.
2. Beer Can Man cut a promo on Ronny Believer about costing him his chance in the TV Title contender tourney, and demanded a weapons match with him right now. Believer obliged, and the two beat the crap out of each other with anything not bolted down. In the end, both men hit each other simultaneously with chairs, and both men collapsed. BCM’s arm landed across Believer’s body, and the ref counted three in a highly entertaining car crash of a match that both men simply survived.
3. Undermaster was interviewed by Honest Al. He stated that the winner between Lazer and Ace would soon be buried six feet under the ring, and that he would hold the world title while they... Rot. In. Hades.
4. Chet Skye faces off with Average Guy for his TV Title Chance. Jessie Wild was again absent from ringside, as Skye sent him to the back. The match began, and the two went back and forth for a bit. Skye started rolling, and went for the Torpedo dropkick, but AG managed to dodge. The Average Elbow was attempted, but Skye rolled out of the way. The two men each rolled into opposite corners, reclining against the bottom turnbuckle and catching their breath, when Wild came to ringside. Skye started yelling at Wild, telling him to go back, but AG used the distraction to roll up Skye for the win. Wild entered the ring to apologize, but Skye shoves him to the ground and dejectedly walked to the back.
5. Starboy and Piranha has their annual rivalry renewal, and tore down the house with Piranha winning via Outlaw Choke.
6. The Tag Title Match was set for Howl and Roar v Command and Conquer. Howl and Roar entered the ring. When Command and Conquer’s music hit, they were no-shows. A camera was shown in the back, and it showed a bloodied Iron Mask and Copper Commander laid out from a vicious attack. Suddenly, Dr. B’s music hit. He entered the arena, mic in hand. “I pity those idiots who can’t take advantage of the opportunities they’re given. Every time they come out, they lose. I’m tired of losers. I’m taking my chance now! And so’s this guy.” The curtain pulled back and revealed Fireball. The two behemoths marched imposingly to the ring. B and Fireball tore Howl and Roar to shreds, and B hit the Clubber on Leo. He told Fireball to go up for his moonsault, but Command and Conquer emerged and jumped into the ring as Fireball climbed. They turned and attacked Leo and Wolf, causing the DQ. All six men brawled their way to the back.
7. The Hunk was being interviewed live by Len Jayo. Hunk then went on a monologue of sorts. “So, Mr Goody Goody Lazer wants to win legitimately. Well, The Hunk has some news for Lazer: everybody knows that you ABSOLUTELY SUCK! You have about as much chance in your match tonight as this jabroni here does of winning Miss America. And Ace, after you win your little title... you’ll have to deal with the most electrifying guy in wrestling. If you SMELLLLL... what the Hunk is smellin’.”
8. Princess Starbright squares off with Valley Girl in the Ladies Title Match. This match was nothing to write home about. Starbright retained with the Rainbow Connection. She grabbed a mic after the match, and gave an impassioned plea for women’s wrestling to be taken seriously. This being 1990, few in the audience cared.
9. The World Title was on the line between Ace and Lazer. As the two squared off, a big match feel was palpable in the arena. The two locked up, and in the early going, neither could gain an advantage. Lazer scored the first points with a scoop slam, but Ace countered with one of his own. The crowd was firmly behind the Face of ABCW, but Ace also won the crowd over. As the match built to a crescendo, Ace and Lazer tumbled outside, where Ace nailed the Ace Crusher. Knowing the title does not change hands on a countout, Ace rolled Lazer in. One, two... and Lazer got his foot on the rope. Ace began to celebrate as he thought he won, and then argued with the ref, which allowed Lazer to recover. Ace attempted a kick to set up a second Crusher, but Lazer caught him and turned it into the Lazerlock. Ace refused to submit, and eventually grabbed the ropes. Ace could not stand, and he pulled himself up by the ropes. Ace knew he was in big trouble, but he defiantly smiled and shot Lazer the aces. Lazer smiled, shot them back, kicked Ace in the gut and hit him with his own finisher for the three count.
Dude Brohan came out and celebrated with Lazer, and the two asked for a couple of beers. They cracked them open, and then Lazer and Dude helped Ace to his feet. They asked for another beer, which they cracked open and gave to Ace. Ace, Dude, and Lazer clinked fans together and chugged them. Then suddenly, Ace hit crushers on both Lazer and Brohan, leaving them laid out to close the show.

I have been a lurker on these boards for years, literally, since 80s Mania first came out. I never felt the need to post until now. I absolutely HAD to tell you how great this is. Through the years I’ve read tons of fantasy booking in dozens of different wrestling themed forums... TEW, EWR, COTG, Fan Aires, EFeds back when that was a thing ... etc
This is up there with some of the best.
The writing is clean. You’re doing a great job of ‘remixing’ the real world moments these characters are based on while still building new characters like 2 Zap and the Smooth Criminals. You’ve got slow building stories for the inevitable big turns by Dude and Chet. You’re using teal world events to add depth and realism. And now you’ve got dirt sheets being mentioned ... just terrific world building.
A few of the characters and backstory made in the Grey Dog Software forums eventually trickled over and became in game cannon. I really hope this happens here. Kudos. This is awesome.
